Two Russian Air Force reportedly planes landed in Venezuela´s main airport on Saturday carrying a Russian defence official and around 100 troops. One flight tracking website shows two aircraft left a Russian military base for the Venezuelan capital Caracas on Friday, with a further jet leaving on Sunday. The arrival of the military jets was confirmed by Javier Mayorca, an independent journalist, who said an Antonov-124 cargo plane and a smaller jet touched down late on Saturday.

If you ever doubted that socialism and communism are two sides of the same coin, this should show you that they are. Here is a communist country helping a "socialist" country. Why? Because they are all of the same agenda.

Yeah, we all know how difficult it is to control people who are sick, hungry, cold, frightened for their children, thirsty, without weapons, no communication etc. I think it´s time Taco Barbie and Bernie the Elder Idiot go down there and help turn them around.

For shame. How morally blind can you be. One thing coming from young and ignorant AOC, but the Russian Foreign Ministry knows conditions in Venezuela and knows where the money went. They cannot think any further into the chess game than opposing us. It never gets to where people end up happy and free. They know how to play the game super well except not what the objective is.

What´s a "reportedly plane?" If it flew into Venezuela carrying people it was either a plane or a bird - or a dragon. Make your best guess, Rachel.
Russia needs the oil and we have blocked their access to Iran. Fingers are going to be slapped.

Putin just made a major mistake. We are not going to tolerate Russian troops in our hemisphere. Maduro is done, and so is Cuba. Russia and China may not like it, but history has overtaken Cuba and Venezuelan thuggery, and it will no longer be tolerated. Mr. Putin, you better pack those 100 back into a plane and bring their butts back to Russia.

#2, it’s not a communist country supporting a socialist country. It’s one dictator supporting another dictator. This has nothing to do with ideology (look at the other countries supporting Maduro) and everything to do with power (not to mention sticking it to the USA).

@#11 - They should already be there as both have had their heads stuck up Maduro´s backside for quite some time now.

What the Soviets did in Afghanistan in 1979, except that that was closer to its homeland. They also faced the mujahideen whom we helped later with weaponry enabling them to better defend themselves and go on the offensive. The Venezuelans appear to be defenseless and weak, starving and ill.

Putin said two weeks ago that he would enjoy another Cuban missile crisis. He is daring Trump to do something or be remembered as the biggest coward in history. Landing troops into our hemisphere is supposedly an act of war against the U.S. The world is watching.
