The Trump administration will not ask for additional funding for its $3.3 billion plan to tear down and rebuild the FBI headquarters in downtown Washington, a Justice Department official said Monday. Assistant Attorney General for Administration Lee Lofthus told reporters the administration will postpone seeking new money for the project while it confers with Congress on the proposal. Those discussions are ongoing, Mr. Lofthus said, noting the funding request is absent from President Trump’s fiscal year 2020 budget proposal. Last year, the administration sought nearly $2.2 billion for the project, which consists of tearing down the FBI building on Pennsylvania Avenue

Move it to Detroit. Cheaper. Good for Detroit. Less crowding for DC.
And out of the beltway.

Tear it down, lay off all the agents and fire the policial hacks that run the damned thing. Call it a job well done- End of story.
The United States of America will be better for it and another notch will be added to the preservation of freedom.

Does anyone care about the FBI, IRS or CIA at this point? Corrupt and working against us.
They will have a whole lot of work to do to get the trust of the public back. At least the sane public.

I think the $3.3 billion FBI new headquarters plan should be forever canceled. Trump should redirect that money to build the wall. It costs less to build a wall, than to pretend FBI agents follow terrorists around in this country, and monitor their activity, when really, all the FBI does is say they had them on radar, after they have killed us. And it is obvious that the FBI does not need a headquarters, and if they do, let the Democrat National Committee pay for it, as they seem to be the ones that have been using it.

The hand that feeds sometimes punches the mouth that bites.
The establishment FBI, and their cadre of corrupt political operatives, messed with the wrong President.
And while we´re at it, let´s award Post Of
The Day to #2 for succinct clarity (as always) with an honorable mention to #4 for the follow-up.

Clever payback for an entire agency gone corrupt. They can rent office space in the southeast side of the city and park their cars on the street. See how that goes.
#3.3 billion will build a nice section of the wall.

Speaking of the IRS, I just finished struggling through my taxes today and am enjoying my annual foul mood. The taxes were much lower (thank you Mister President!) but the forms are still the same cryptic, accountant-designed monstrosities that they have always been. I think they try to confuse people and are paid by lobbyists for the tax-prep businesses.

Following up on #11 and #12, put the new FBI HQ in Juarez. The only people in this new FBI HQ should be the current inhabitants of the the 7th floor of the FBI building, of course.
A side benefit will be the FBI brass testing the next generation of bullet-proof vests for the military and other government law enforcement agencies.

The FBI has lost our trust. Perhaps irretrievably lost it. Clean house before building a new house.

Don´t spend money on a building when the FBI may not exist in a few years. Leave them in the old building-- it was built in 1972 can´t be in that bad a shape. The building is in better shape than the organization that´s for sure.

There´s an outhouse in Gary Indiana with the FBI´s name on it. The smell should make them feel at home.

The money would be better spent building a high-security prison and putting all those corrupt FBI criminals in it. DOJ thugs too.

Why not simply tear it down, period? They cannot nail Hillary on thousands of slam-dunk felonies (nor Huma, nor Carlos Danger), but they gladly waste vast resources on purely partisan snipe hunts. Use the savings to build the wall and enforce the border, huge net win for the average American.
