Conservative Campaign Committee

If I sound a bit punchy, it is because my wife Mary and I got to the hotel late after flying into Montana. We´re here to work with the Conservative Campaign Committee team to help Republican Matt Rosendale defeat the Democrat for the U.S. Senate seat. I awoke early this morning because my body is still on East Coast time. A CCC team member texted to inform me that the hotel´s breakfast buffet has gluten-free bread. I´ve had issues with blood sugar. I´ve stopped eating bread because someone turned me on to a great bread substitute made with almond floor.

Congressional Democrats released a list of questions Wednesday that their Republican counterparts asked of Peter Strzok, the former FBI official who sent anti-Trump text messages while working on the Russia investigation. Democrats published the questions in an attempt to force Republicans to release a transcript of Strzok’s 10-plus hour closed-door testimony before the House Judiciary and House Oversight Committees on June 27. Strzok is scheduled to appear before both committees for an open hearing on Thursday. While Democrats complained that the questions show the GOP lawmakers’ lines of inquiry appear in line with the questions that Trump supporters have raised

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Navy says it will now allow servicewomen to sport ponytails and other longer hairstyles, reversing a policy that long forbade them from letting their hair down. Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson says it makes the Navy more inclusive. Many black women had asked for changes to the female grooming standards. A female sailor announced the new policy during a Facebook Live event Tuesday with Richardson. Lock hairstyles, or ropelike strands, are also now allowed. Wider hair buns too. And women can wear ponytails while in uniform. At the U.S. Naval War College in Rhode

MSNBC’s morning news host Stephanie Ruhle dove into President Donald Trump’s anger with fellow NATO allies on her show Wednesday morning. WATCH: (Video) “He has been complaining for years that NATO countries do not live up to their promise of spending 2 percent of their GDP on defense,” Ruhle said. “Right now just five countries are above that mark, including the United States.” The other four countries that have reached their target of spending 2 percent of their GDP are Greece, the United Kingdom, Estonia, and Latvia, although they do have an additional six years to reach that mark. “The

While organized labor had a friend in former President Barack Obama, who stacked the National Labor Relations Board with career union labor lawyers, unions are now having a harder go at it under the Trump administration. In fact, unions accustomed to be provided free government office space to conduct their business are finding themselves with an option of either paying rent or being kicked to the curb. At least two government agencies have begun efforts to implement President Trump’s recent workforce executive orders governing union use of agency property, according to officials with the National Treasury Employees Union. Wednesday at a press conference, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) described the NATO alliance as “indispensable.” When asked about President Donald Trump calling NATO allies “delinquent” in paying for defense, Ryan said, “I subscribe to the view that we should not be criticizing our president while he’s overseas. But let me say a couple of things NATO is indispensable. It is as important today as it ever has been. We are reflecting that in a resolution we are bringing to the floor today.” He added, “With respect to Nord Stream 2, I saw the president mentioned that. We’ve

One of the biggest challenges in the immigration debate today is that the American people are routinely given faulty "facts" or outright lies by the media and opportunistic politicians. The media-manufactured crisis over separating children from their illegal alien parents at the southern border is just the most recent example. The misrepresented photos, absurd comparisons of detention centers to concentration camps, and nonstop cable news demagoguery have served to confuse the public and advance the narrative of the open borders movement. Now comes a whopper: much of what the American public has been told about birthright citizenship is wrong. The

According to the Left, Brett Kavanaugh is unqualified for the Supreme Court not because he lacks the credentials or even because he´s conservative, but rather for the intersectional crime of being straight, white, and male. Even though the Left fervently opposed the nomination of Justice Clarence Thomas to the point of slandering his good name and would have raged against whomever President Trump nominated no matter their color or sex, leftists from late-night to the NY Daily News are all saying that Brett Kavanaugh is just 50 shades too white for the SCOTUS job. Walking around New Orleans´ Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood, people are still angry at the impact of Hurricane Katrina and how unprepared the city was for the massive storm nearly 13 years on. But now some of their wrath is directed at Brad Pitt and his charity Make It Right. After the levees of the city´s industrial canal were breached, the Lower Ninth Ward of predominantly black and low-income families was decimated by the floods, with most houses swept away or left in ruins. Among the first to lend a helping hand was Pitt, who - along with his then wife Angelina Jolie - owned a house in New Orleans and set up the

It´s often been observed that special counsel Robert Mueller, assigned to investigate alleged Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign, has yet to charge anyone with a crime involving Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign. The biggest of Mueller´s indictments, that of one-time Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, has no connection at all to collusion. And until a few days ago, it appeared to have no connection to Donald Trump, either. Now, though, Mueller has revealed why he believes the Manafort prosecution is related to the 2016 Trump campaign. WASHINGTON — Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, according to a letter obtained by The New York Times on Wednesday. Mr. Rosenstein’s request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. While the Justice Department has helped work on previous Supreme Court nominations, department lawyers in Washington typically carry out that task, not prosecutors who pursue criminal investigations nationwide. But in an email sent this week to the nation’s 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each

Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement from the Supreme Court, and President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to succeed him, is the doomsday scenario liberals feared when Senate Republicans thwarted the appointment of Merrick Garland in 2016: The GOP’s brazen act of democratic sabotage will almost certainly deliver the high court to the far right for a generation. In the years ahead, the court will probably further erode reproductive rights, gay rights and voting rights, ushering in the darkest era in American history since the post-Reconstruction period. Sounds hysterical, right? After all, Democrats will get their chance at
