Paul Ryan: ‘NATO Is Indispensable’
Breitbart Video, by Pam Key

Wednesday at a press conference, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) described the NATO alliance as “indispensable.” When asked about President Donald Trump calling NATO allies “delinquent” in paying for defense, Ryan said, “I subscribe to the view that we should not be criticizing our president while he’s overseas. But let me say a couple of things NATO is indispensable. It is as important today as it ever has been. We are reflecting that in a resolution we are bringing to the floor today.” He added, “With respect to Nord Stream 2, I saw the president mentioned that. We’ve

This kind of insulting baby-talk that we ALWAYS get from GOPe types like Paul Ryan.

NATO is indispensable WHEN ITS WORKING PROPERLY.

NATO, like just about every other post-WW2 institution upon which the victor countries rely on for peace and stability are FAILING and FALLING APART.

What purpose is served by Paul Ryan making this baby-talk except to signal his anti-Trump virtues to all and sundry.

Pathetic, as per usual with the GOP´s Boneless Wonders

Trump is like your grandmother compared to your mom. Grandma has already been around the block, she knows the real you, and she will not accept your bad behavior like your mom will. No excuses will be accepted. Just do what needs to be done. Sometimes the truth hurts. It doesn´t mean you are no longer loved or needed or no longer family. It means do the right thing. Don´t blame your brother or try to pawn it off on your sister. Grow up and step up. If you want to be respected earn it. Time for America to stop kissing butt and closing her eyes to reality. Trump might be a bit uncouth but where did "couth" get us, no place.

Remember those advisements against entangling alliances? We should have listened. We never should have been involved in World War 1, and NATO is of no benefit to us. Let the latter-day Hanseatic League go stew in their own juices and leave us alone.

The emphasis is in the wrong place. All they are talking about is fiscal support. A lack of fiscal support and their whining about it masks their lack of manpower support which indicates they are willing to defend their freedom to the last American. Unacceptable. Both the Euros and the Russkies have such miserable birth rates that their military capacity will be irrelevant in 30 to 40 years.

Nah, not so much. If they were to actually build up their forces to something reasonable, they could be valuable allies.

As they are now, they are useless. Germany can bring 10 fighters and 20 tanks to a war right now. Near enough to useless as to be a rounding error.

Ryan is one of the biggest disappointments in Congress. Right behind John McCain.

What he´s essentially saying is that America should be ready to defend these pantywaist Euros anytime whether they deserve it or not. As stupid as they have been in letting the islamists take over their countries I would be perfectly happy letting them pay for their mistakes with their own resources.

In the House and Senate races, Democrats are stealthily pouring in tons of money early to demonize Republican candidates before our supporters become engaged. It was 1979. I was 17 years old and I had the opportunity to visit the divided city of Berlin, Germany. Berlin was split in two, making the contrasts within the artificially-divided city incredibly stark. There was the free West Berlin, and there was the socialist East Berlin. A wall separated the two to prevent people in the socialist East from escaping to the free West. People in the East risked death to escape from its unnatural, godless shackles and the ever-present Stasi, the secret police that spied on the people. Don’t get me wrong. People in East Germany were
