A number of masked men, including one carrying a suspected firearm have hijacked a bus in Northern Ireland, police have said. The police service for Northern Ireland tweeted: ´Police are currently in attendance after a bus was set on fire in the Westwinds estate this evening. ´At around 7.30pm it was reported that a number of masked men, one carrying a suspected firearm, hijacked the bus in Blenheim Drive before setting it on fire.´ It comes amid warnings from police that the UVF had threatened to orchestrate ´serious disorder´ in east Belfast on Wednesday night. PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Alan Todd said he

There´s a serious wall separating the Catholic and Protestant areas of Belfast. The gates in the wall close at 6 p.m. and stay closed all night. There are plenty of hard feelings on both sides. July 12th is the night protestants light bonfires to celebrate the victory of William of Orange in the Battle of the Boyne that secured the protestant ascendancy in Ireland for generations.

Tony Blair! Call your office. The UVF was once a paramilitary force but nowadays is something between the mafia and Mexican drug cartel - with an Irish brogue, of course.

Something reminiscent of "September 1913"? Again? You don´t need a course in Irish history to understand Yeats´s poem. Read the whole four stanza poem. You´ll get a navigable roadmap into the Irish violence of one hundred five years ago.

https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/57309/september-1913

Last stanza:

"Yet could we turn the years again,
And call those exiles as they were
In all their loneliness and pain,
You’d cry, ‘Some woman’s yellow hair
Has maddened every mother’s son’:
They weighed so lightly what they gave.
But let them be, they’re dead and gone,
They’re with O’Leary in the grave."

(Emphasis added.) If you love poetry and the highest use of the English language, you should have a volume of Yeats nearby.

Andrew Marr pulled apart the Prime Minister´s latest Brexit blueprint, suggesting her proposed common rulebook will keep the United Kindom under the control of the European Union and row back on the reasons why people voted to leave the EU. Theresa May proposed to maintain a close trading connection with the European Union by creating a free trade area administered through a common rulebook. Brexiteers have rejected the latest Brexit blueprint, concerned the rulebook would keep the UK under the influence of EU law without British politicians being able to have a say on modifying it. During the deadliest shooting in modern American history, first responders inside and in the vicinity of the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas faced a slew of radio communication issues. Metropolitan Police officers were unable to communicate directly with EMS, with their only line of communication being a peripheral police radio channel, all while dispatchers were fielding a surge of reports. Inside the hotel hallways, ´thick walls´ of the hotel caused radio service to cut in-and-out, and it was very difficult for officers to communicate with the main command post located within the hotel. President Donald Trump is blasting the ´fake news´ for not reporting the success out of his North Korea summit as he heads to Helsinki to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The president complained there hasn´t been positive media coverage of the lack of missiles or rockets fired in nine months from the rogue state as concerns have emerged about what concessions he might give to Moscow at Monday´s meeting and how there appears to be no clear agenda for his sit down with Putin. But Trump didn´t acknowledge the questions he faces as he flies east across Europe and, instead, touted the success from his June summit

Brexit rebels Boris Johnson and David Davis clashed last night over claims they discussed a ‘joint Cabinet walk-out stunt’ that could have brought down Theresa May. Allies of Mr Johnson said Mr Davis suggested that they should announce they were leaving the Government over Brexit in a co-ordinated double act – but the former Foreign Secretary declined. But sources close to Mr Davis said it was Mr Johnson who put forward the idea, which the former Brexit Secretary then declined. The conflicting accounts came after Mr Davis resigned dramatically at midnight last Sunday, followed by Mr Johnson 15 hours later.

Americans are encouraged to embrace diversity and be culturally sensitive to those who have flouted our laws and invaded our nation. Meanwhile, illegal aliens arriving in America have no such requirement. Instead, trespassing tribes relocate, and when they do, rather than assimilate, they transfer habits and activities indigenous to the countries from whence they migrated. Thus, Americans suffer from illnesses that are easily traceable to third-world bathroom habits (TWBH) and lack of hygiene in the developing world. Watching FBI agent Peter Strzok battle with Congress, my initial reaction was pure anger. His repeated, arrogant insistence that he had done nothing wrong despite tons of evidence to the contrary convinced me he deserved immediate firing — if not the firing squad. Gradually, though, anger gave way to amazement as Strzok grew increasingly combative and condescending. Given his predicament, the sneering and smirking were stupid, and yet he persisted. The left-wing terrorist organization that calls itself Antifa is “freaking out” over a proposed law that would enhance penalties for anyone who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person” while wearing a disguise or mask.
