‘People Will Die’: Yale Students, Faculty Outraged

Yale Law School students and faculty wrote and signed an open-letter to the dean Tuesday, criticizing Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court and saying that “people will die if he is confirmed.”The authors and signers of the letter asked Yale Law School Dean Heather K. Gerken to “use your authority and platform to expose the stakes of this moment and the threat that Judge Kavanaugh poses.” “[P]eople will die if he is confirmed,” the letter reads, adding that he is a “threat to our democracy.” The crux of the letter is a disavowal for the potential overturning of Roe

A nonsensical statement. If Roe were overturned, many fewer people would die. Abortion has killed more people than either Hitler or Stalin.

The real tragedy is that these morons don´t know that abortion was available before Roe and would be after Roe. It would be up to the individual states (as it should be) to decide if abortion is murder or not.

Some of them probably know that overturning Roe v Wade would return the laws to the states, but Progressives can´t let that be known.

They don´t want it fixed: they want the issue. Just like gun control. Chicago is proof.

Sounds like some Yale students and faculty about to have a criminal record. This is proof that our higher education centers have become indoctrination centers whose aim is to preach the socialist Marxist way. Obviously, these lost souls consider the killing of adult human beings same as they consider killing the unborn.

If Roe v Wade is overturned, it doesn´t OUTLAW all abortions. It simply gives each state the power to set abortion laws in their own states.

Abortion is not covered under the Constitution!!! Therefore the Constitution allows the states to set their own laws concerning it. At least that is how it is SUPPOSED to work. And, hopefully, under the new Supreme Court, that is exactly how it will work!!!!!

Hey, if California, New York, and Washington want to kill their unborn babies until the moment of birth, that blood should at least be on the legislators and citizens of those states.

If other states want to limit the slaughter of unborn babies to just those times that the mother´s life is at risk, or not at all, then I sure hope Texas is one of them!!!!!!

I wonder if abortion were not so readily available, would people become more responsible with birth control? It seems like they might. If you can afford multiple abortions, surely you can afford some form of birth control, no?

People like this realize that abortion is not addressed in the US Constitution but was legalized by a poorly argued opinion by an activist Supreme Court,

Current abortion "rights" are vulnerable to being revised and reformed using sound legal reasoning. The possibility of sound legal reasoning causes the left to panic.

The first point in #8 needs to be hammered home until it registers. Overturning Roe v. Wade does not outlaw abortions, itself, but returns the authority back to the states.

What frosts those who treat abortion as if it were their Blessed Sacrament is the very idea that people in some places really want the law to protect the lives they view as property.

(´funny´ how a lot of the same people don´t want individuals to have control over their actual property or the things they possess)

Abortion was legal in New York, California and Hawaii when Roe was decided in 1973. We are a long ways from then, for better or worse. I expect abortion would be legal in all blue states, at least. But I don´t expect many states will make it legal without some restrictions. Right now, the US is one of the few (or maybe only) countries that allows abortions up until the moment of birth. All of liberal Western Europe puts limits on abortions after the first trimester and none, that I am aware of, allows unrestricted access to late-term abortions.

#14 is correct, and I believe it´s in the California State Constitution to allow abortions, which is 40 million people that WON´T be affected if Roe is overturned.

I´d suspect NY, IL, HI, MA, WA, CT, MD and a host of other states would have abortion as part of their state´s constitution at this time too. If not, some will be working to make sure that is the case, which is their right to do.

I´d doubt any state would not have abortion available at all, but a number would have some reasonable restrictions like late-term abortion which would conform with most Western Countries.
