Mueller reveals tenuous link between
Manafort charges and Trump

Washington Examiner, by Byron York

Original Article

Posted By:Drive, 7/11/2018 6:40:14 AM

It´s often been observed that special counsel Robert Mueller, assigned to investigate alleged Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign, has yet to charge anyone with a crime involving Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign. The biggest of Mueller´s indictments, that of one-time Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, has no connection at all to collusion. And until a few days ago, it appeared to have no connection to Donald Trump, either. Now, though, Mueller has revealed why he believes the Manafort prosecution is related to the 2016 Trump campaign. It´s a small part, a very small part, of the overall charges

If I´m reading this right, Mueller is admitting that whatever problems existed in the loan applications, they were known to several bank employees and the senior bank official OKed the loans anyway.

So.... tell me again how the bank was defrauded !

I thought Mueller doesn´t leak? Speaking of collusion and screwing cases up let´s go down Memory Lane and see Mueller´s record. Mueller´s handling of the anthrax case, mishandling of the 911 commission findings, screwing up of the Boston Marathon bombing, involved in the uranium One case and last but not least the BIGGIE his acquaintance and working with Whitey Bulger. This is just some of his missteps.

This is what it boils down to; FTA "The senior executive later expressed an interest in serving in the administration of President Trump, but did not secure such a position" So If Wishes Were Horses Beggars Woulds Ride!

Not only does Mueller have nothing, zip, nada - he has less than nothing on President Trump! Epic fail!

Mueller is viscous and a ego manic just maybe while he was head of the FBI he was the one that turned it into a political operation!

That is thin ... real thin evidence. It is thinner than saying that DJT colluded with Putin because DJT put Russian dressing on his salad ... once.

Agree Mueller is getting desperate. He has a $1,000 per hour gig going on and it is starting to look like it is coming to an end. I am not sure what he is afraid of ... he probably has billed enough to pay off the national debt of a small country. Of course there is another way to end it all ... give him a snob-nosed .38 with one bullet in the wheel and tell him to do the honorable thing ... providing he knows what that is.

How many people did interesting stuff that might have gotten them a place on Hillary´s campaign? For a change, questionable things that Hillary had nothing to do with.

Maybe we need a special counsel to check that out?

Is a senior executive approving a loan application that may have had some numbers problems illegal? It may not be a great business practice but that´s an internal business matter. I will bet such things happen frequently.

And the big point is this - NO Russian collusion and NO knowledge by Trump or his campaign of the loan issue. Manafort knew the executive´s interest and eventually the executive got an campaign advisory role. It´s likely the campaign knew nothing of the loan process.

Did Manafort get any traffic tickets during his lifetime? Maybe Mueller can look into those.

Very weak. Its all about getting Trump. Mueller is a freakin joke. These types of loans are approved all the time and Mueller knows it. Years ago democrats forced banks to approve millions of home loans to people they knew were not qualified and could not pay their mortgage. This caused the financial crisis and collapse of our economy. Does Mueller remember that. No, he´s a moron. Got it.

This is the most absurd, narrative invention of logic imaginable. To Mr. Mueller for your edification, which you do not care about. ALL bank loans involve an application that are completed by the applicant to the BEST of their KNOWLEDGE, and signed as such. Practically speaking, NO applicant is an accountant, and almost all applications are incomplete, or incorrect, and almost NONE are audited personal financial statements issued by a CPA. The Bank Could have requested an audited personal financial statement, and if they did not, that is the bank´s omission. (Also note here that is not the Bank that is complaining about the Manafort loan, nor has the Bank indicated they were not repaid, or that the loan is in arrears). As for an officer of the bank approving the loan based on their interest in a place in Trump´s campaign, proving that was the reason for the approval, and not something else, is going to be impossible, especially when that officer gets cross examined by Manfort´s team of lawyers. I don´t think I would want to be that bank officer, so I don´t expect that that bank officer will ever show up. What total hogwash, all of this, and that is a severe understatement.

Theater of the absurd. And since Manafort clearly cannot get a fair trial in the DC area, why is it being tried there. Paul Manafort is sitting in solitary confinement while Mueller and Weissmann are out being wined and dined by their DC cronies. And, Tony Podesta (and thousands of others) who apparently committed very similar "crimes" as those of which Manafort is accused, is sitting safely out of jail, not under investigation and with his millions intact. Paul Manafort´s is being prosecuted/persecuted for his brief involvement with the Trump campaign. And that is not justice.

Yep. There was a link between Trump and Manafort. Manafort was his campaign chairman for a couple months.

I got that info for free.

It´s cost Herr Mueller and his goons several million dollars and a year and a half to figure it out.

FTA:"The two Lender D loans are, apparently, the only connection between the Trump campaign and the broad array of criminal activity, some of it more than a decade old, alleged in the Manafort indictments. And Trump himself played no role in it.

Was a special counsel needed for that?"

Of course it was, especially since the special consel´s objective is to remove a duly elected president via a coup.

What I think would be interesting is to find the quid pro quo Mueller expects from the deep state should his coup be successful; a big beautiful estate with 24/7/365 Gulfstream 5 for life or much to his chagrin and similar to the Soviet Union, a bullet in the back of his head.

Nobody sells a narrative better than the left, then get a jury of Trump haters and you have any feeble charge that lands you in prison.

Never, ever under estimate how low these people will sink and how successful they are at doing it. Remember a month ago everyone was sure half of the FBI was going to be thrown in jail. Remember the IRS scandal, Benghazi, Clinton email server and on and on.

We have about 5 or 6 Congressmen taking on the mafia and the rest of the Republicans hiding in a closet, or worse working against us. Although the facts are in our favor the odds are not.

Once again, this is a fake investigation conducted by a fake investigator and his fake team at the behest of fake leaders and corrupt big-money interests. This is all about unseating Trump through impeachment (a coup) or in the 2020 election.

Given that the origin of Mueller´s supposed "collusion investigation" was a demonstrable frame up attempt by the Deep State paid for by the Clinton Crime Syndicate, nothing that ever comes of it can ever have any legitimacy whatsoever, and everyone already knows this. There has never at any time been any attempt to "get to the bottom" of the supposed Trump-Russia alliance, which everyone already knew from the start never existed. We will soon find out the real reason PDT has been allowing this sham investigation to go on, and we can be certain it won´t be pretty for the Deep State coupsters...

On a substantive level, it is impossible to understand the outcry against President Donald Trump following his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday. Trump met with Putin because as president, he is required to meet with the leader of Russia just as every U.S. president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt had to meet with his counterpart at the Kremlin. U.S. national security and indeed, international security are dependent on the leaders of the two powerful nations developing cooperative relations. The ability of U.S. and Russian leaders to work together plays a key role in preventing another world

Some squishier conservatives are now working hard to shy away from any suggestion that President Trump´s newest Supreme Court pick, Brett Kavanaugh, might challenge the Roe v. Wade decision. I´m not exactly sure why anyone´s surprised that he or Justice Gorsuch might do exactly that. Trump campaigned in 2016 as a pro-life candidate and promised to appoint judges to overturn Roe v. Wade. But now that we have an opportunity to reverse what is possibly the worst and costliest Supreme Court decision in the history of our country, we´re being admonished for the open hope that it can be done. President Donald Trump has been criticized by the media and by Beltway politicians of both parties for his meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday. But the summit has already produced a very significant win: namely, agreement to avoid a war in the Middle East by restraining Iran in Syria. As Breitbart News columnist Caroline Glick noted last month, it was crucial that Trump confront Putin over Syria, because Russia was about to allow Iranian and Hezbollah soldiers, dressed in Syrian uniforms, to move into southwestern Syria along the border with Israel and Jordan. President Donald Trump proved to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday that he is nobody’s puppet — not Putin’s, not the Deep State’s, and not the establishment media’s. Like the moral strength he showed in Charlottesville, VA, last year, Helsinki should be remembered as one of Trump’s finest moments. Last August, some truly evil people showed up in Charlottesville. On one side, you had white supremacists, and on the other, you had the left-wing terrorist group Antifa. A riot broke out, one person was murdered, and another 30-plus others were injured. Almost immediately, the media crafted a narrative around Charlottesville that determined

President Trump clearly felt the burn from the firestorm over his comments regarding Russia’s political meddling and moved quickly Tuesday to try to fix what he broke in Helsinki. Given the enormously high stakes, his sudden about-face was both welcome and complete. Reversing his wishy-washy Monday comment that he wasn’t sure whether to believe American intelligence agencies or Vladimir Putin’s “powerful” denial about the 2016 events, the president wisely took the side he’s on. “I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place,” he said, adding, “It could be other people also.” I could do without the mysterious

Call it a walk-back, a cleanup or a clarification. Just don’t call it over. President Donald Trump on Tuesday did something he rarely does in asking for a do-over of his comments about Russia meddling. But he provided far more clarity a day earlier, when he declared that “we’re all to blame,” and expressed confidence in “both parties” -- American intelligence agencies and the Putin government. Even his acceptance of the judgment of the U.S. intelligence community that Russia tried to meddle in the election came late and with a loud caveat: “could be other people also.”

Enraged that a British cave diver called his idea to rescue the Thai soccer team for what it was — “a p.r. stunt [with] absolutely no chance of working” — Musk took to Twitter and called him a “pedo.” Just like that, Tesla’s market value plummeted by $2 billion. Musk has been in business since 2002. His stated goal is nothing short of transforming humanity through his products: his electric cars, space travel, and an underground high-speed Hyperloop system. He has yet to succeed at anything but somehow spins every

Nearly two years ago, I moved with my daughter, who was then 7, from Yonkers to a small town in Pennsylvania. It’s minutes outside of New Jersey, but right in the heart of Donald Trump’s America. Sixty-one percent of the people in my county voted for him. Drive through most communities in my town and you’ll still see large blue Trump campaign signs on perfectly manicured lawns. Chances are, you’ll spot at least two newer-model pickup trucks with Confederate flag license plate frames. As I, a black woman, move through my daily routine, I exchange nonverbal social pleasantries with my neighbors

CLEARWATER — Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced Friday that his agency will not arrest a man deputies say shot and killed another man during an argument over a handicap parking space. The incident falls under Florida’s self-defense law known as "stand your ground," the sheriff said during a news conference. The law gives immunity to those in fear of their lives who use force to defend themselves. The shooting "is within the bookends of ‘stand your ground’ and within the bookends of force being justified," the sheriff said, later adding, "I’m not saying I agree with it, but I don’t make

DUBAI - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday cautioned U.S. President Donald Trump about pursuing hostile policies against Tehran, saying “America should know ... war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” but he did not rule out peace between the two countries, either. Iran faces increased U.S. pressure and looming sanctions after Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from a 2015 international deal over Iran’s nuclear program. Addressing a gathering of Iranian diplomats, Rouhani said: “Mr Trump, don’t play with the lion’s tail, this would only lead to regret,” the state new agency IRNA reported. “America should know that

In the past few days, President Trump has given at least some Republicans reason to express displeasure over his relationship with Russia. First he performed a pathetic ritual of subservience before Vladimir Putin, standing beside the Russian leader — after a private meeting between the two, which no aides were permitted to attend — and dismissing the copious evidence of a Russian attack on the 2016 election in deference to Putin’s word. Then we learned that Putin had suggested that we make Americans available to the Kremlin for questioning, including Michael McFaul, the former U.S. ambassador to Russia, in exchange

(Video)The early investigation into what caused a tour boat in Missouri to capsize Thursday, killing 17, has found that the vessel set out despite winds approaching hurricane force, according to a National Transportation Safety Board official. (Snip) The most alarming information gather by the NTSB seems to relate to the weather conditions at the time of the accident. Weener said that there were recorded anemometer readings of 73 mph. To put this in context, he said hurricane-force winds are thought to begin at about 75 mph. Based on recordings from witnesses, Weener also estimated that waves were around four feet,

Last Friday, Maine Democrat Zak Ringelstein wasn’t ready to consider himself a formal member of the Democratic Socialists of America, even if he appreciated the organization’s values and endorsement in his bid to become a United States senator. Three days later, he told The Associated Press that was ready to become the only major-party Senate candidate in the nation to be a dues-paying democratic socialist. The swift evolution is latest evidence of a nationwide surge in the strength and popularity of an organization that, until recently, operated on the fringes of the liberal movement’s farthest left flank. But as Donald

SANTA BARBARA, Calif — From Malibu to Santa Cruz, wealthy people are blocking access to California’s publicly owned beaches. And no group has fought the public longer than the gated community of Hollister Ranch, about 130 miles north of Los Angeles. For more than 36 years, residents there have spent millions of dollars on lawyers and lobbyists to bar the hoi polloi from an 8.5-mile-long beach adorned with several coves. In May, after more than four years of litigation over public access to the beach, a settlement was announced between the ranch cooperative, on one side, and the California Coastal Commission
