Democrats must consider court-
packing when they regain power.
It’s the only way to save democracy.

Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement from the Supreme Court, and President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to succeed him, is the doomsday scenario liberals feared when Senate Republicans thwarted the appointment of Merrick Garland in 2016: The GOP’s brazen act of democratic sabotage will almost certainly deliver the high court to the far right for a generation. In the years ahead, the court will probably further erode reproductive rights, gay rights and voting rights, ushering in the darkest era in American history since the post-Reconstruction period. Sounds hysterical, right? After all, Democrats will get their chance at

I hope Leftists keep flapping their lips about these truly radical ideas. Will help people understand why they must be defeated in November.

Does David Faris know we’re a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy? So packing the court is how Democrats get laws they can’t get passed through the Congress as required by the Constitution! My guess is David doesn’t have a Constitution nor has he ever read it! Democracy is majority rule or mob rule and our Founders wanted nothing to do with it. But what do I know? President Trump is trying to save the Republic not a democracy aka the swamp!

Hmmm. Since we have always had a representative republic, there is NO "democracy" here to "save", idiot.

Not happening, zero chance. FDR tried it way back in the 30s when he was stymied by the court in his communist moves, too.

They are just so hysterical that they are hyperventilating and dizzy, any sort of nonsense seems like a plan to them.

The dRATS were so arrogant as to believe that their old queen bee, PIAPS, was going to produce the voters needed to later pack the Supreme Court during Herself´s tenure. They are paying the price for pushing the electorate to bring in a swamp killer, instead of dweller. HA! If we are lucky, after the midterms and six years later, Trump will have tanned plenty of their hides.

The Dems have handed the Repubs a great campaign platform - "Dems want to change the rules when they lose elections. Vote for the Dems and you´ll get court packing!" That will turn off independents and even some Dems and totally energize Republicans.

And after November, if the Repubs retain a majority in the Senate Trump should talk about court packing and the Dems´ plans and say he won´t do it because it is repugnant.

As with everything else, the LIE-berals set precedence, and then cry when that change is used against them. It was the Demon-RATs that decided years ago that a lame duck president should NOT appoint a Supreme Court justice in an election year. The Republicans just held them to that standard when Ovomit tried to appoint Merrick Garland. And they are still crying and whining about it!!!!!

Now they want to talk about "packing the court". But they will cry the loudest when the Republicans get the upper hand and do just that if the Demon-RATs get the chance to change the rules...

I can´t open the link given, but, for what it´s worth, Faris has also written that Democrats should immediately grant statehood to PR and to DC, should immediately divide CA into at least three states. This, he says, would be "fair" and give a permanent majority to Democrats in the U.S. Senate. But, rural Illinois, rural NY, rural Colorado, eastern Washington State.... all those areas dominated politically by the big Blue cities should also have U.S. Senators who represent THEIR culture.

Jeanine Pirro gave a glowing assessment of Donald Trump’s chances for 2020, saying that if the president decides to run for re-election, he would probably be unbeatable. “I have to tell you. I don’t think he can be beat right now. I think the left is so disorganized,” Pirro told TheWrap in an interview Tuesday, saying that she could not think of a single Democrat who could pose a credible threat to Trump in 2020. “They are just making fools of themselves. WASHINGTON — Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Mr. Rosenstein’s request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. But in an email sent this week to the nation’s 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each

NEW YORK — Starbucks is going strawless. The coffee company announced Monday that it will phase out plastic straws from all of its stores by 2020. The changes will help Starbucks eliminate more than 1 billion plastic straws per year, the company said. Plastic straws contribute to ocean pollution and pose a danger to marine life. Some governments have begun banning them. To eliminate straws, Starbucks is transitioning from the flat, plastic lids that require them, to ones that feature a raised lip you can drink from. The new designs have drawn comparisons to an adult “sippy cup.” (Snip) Frappuccino

President Trump has now been in office a year and a quarter. President Trump’s results when compared to those of President Obama at the same time are stunning. In every economic measurement, President Trump far out-performs President Obama. The mainstream media and Democrat Party continue to smear President Trump with the fake Russia collusion narrative. In doing so they also continue to ignore President Trump’s many accomplishments. When compared to Obama [and most presidents], President Trump’s efforts to shore up the economy are historic. President Trump’s economy is just plain on fire! Barack Obama was the worst economic president since

A White House stenographer says she resigned over the Trump administration´s lack of respect for her office after President Trump reduced the roles of the White House position. Beck Dorey-Stein, who worked as a stenographer for the White House during the second half of the Obama administration, told CNN´s New Day on Wednesday that Trump´s refusal to allow stenographers in the room for meetings and interviews with some journalists crossed a line. "I quit because I couldn´t be proud of where I worked anymore," Dorey-Stein said. "I felt like President Trump was lying to the American people, and also ... not even

Obama’s speech to a cheering crowd of thousands in South Africa countered many of Trump’s policies, rallying people around the world to keep alive the ideas that Mandela worked for including democracy, diversity and tolerance. Obama opened by calling today’s times “strange

Was Russia´s effort to interfere in the 2016 election the most important issue on the table at President Trump´s Helsinki summit with Vladimir Putin? No. But it´s not an unimportant issue, either, and Trump knew the American press is obsessed with it. So he knew it would play a big role in the Trump-Putin post-summit news conference. There are all sorts of aspects to the Trump-Russia affair, but in light of special counsel Robert Mueller´s decision to indict 12 Russian intelligence agents on the Friday before the Monday summit, the president also knew reporters would want to hear him specifically affirm

JOHANNESBURG - Barack Obama said on Tuesday the world should resist cynicism over the rise of strongmen, in an apparent reference to populist leaders who hold power in a number of countries. The Democratic former U.S. president did not name his Republican successor, Donald Trump, but the speech was among the most pointed comments he has made about politics since leaving office in January 2017.
