#WalkAway founder Brandon Straka
denied service at Adorama camera store

Washington Times, by Jessica Chasmar

A Manhattan camera store has apologized after the founder of the #WalkAway movement, which encourages Democrats to abandon the party, said he was denied service. Brandon Straka said he had already spent a considerable amount of time picking out camera equipment at Adorama on West 18th St. in Manhattan on July 5 when one of the salesmen refused to sell anything to him. “He stared at me with this kind of deadpan expression,” Mr. Strakatold The Epoch Times. “And he said: Are you planning to use this equipment for alt-right purposes?’” “‘I’m sorry I just don’t feel comfortable selling to you,’”

I´ve done business with this store in the past. They seemed to have jumped on the issue immediately and have handled it. Can´t expect a company to know the foolishness that every one of its employees might engage in going forward. I can give them a pass on this.

The snowflake clerk was acting like a robot. No explanation, no discussion, no argument; just go away because "I´m not comfortable selling to you." Freakin´ idiot!

The left thinks a gay customer should be able to force baker Jack Phillips to create a gay wedding cake against his religious convictions, but a gay customer should not even be sold a camera if he is right wing.

#3, please reconsider. It wasn´t the store that refused service to this customer; it was one stupid employee.

Adorama apologized and Straka was able to purchase his equipment from a different clerk, who is hopefully on commission. :-)

Brandon Straka asked that people not retaliate against the store.

Straka was exemplary in his behavior and also I´m glad he didn´t back down and simply leave the store. I don´t think anyone who is on our side should back down. There needs to be a price - a very real price - to harassing us - not a "price" of violence, but as much verbal pushback as we can provide, and as much refusal to leave or move as the law permits. And make sure your video is running so if anyone on the other side threatens you or touches you, you can report it to the police and then you can sue the person when the police do nothing.

Also, I thought Adorama did a good job here. I work in a huge place - there´s no way in advance to know who is defective and who isn´t.

Brandon doesn´t want a gay activist clerk fired, but I sure do. In fact I want that clerk to pile up huge legal fees and waste a couple of years in the court system. It would be small payback and a much needed balancing of the aggressive PC efforts of activist gays against anyone they select as an enemy. There has to be consequences to bullying.

As #15 says, the clerk was very likely another gay man, which explains Mr Straka´s unwillingness to have the man fired. As a recently awoke escapee from the Democrat plantation, Mr Straka´s mission seems to be opening up a dialogue with his community, and to remove the scales from their eyes.

Trenton, N.J. — New Jersey set aside $2.1 million to help immigrants facing deportation in the state, money that advocates say will go a long way in helping but still falls short of the estimated cost of legal representation. Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy and the Democrat-controlled Legislature signed off on the new spending this month as part of a recently adopted $37.4 billion fiscal year 2019 budget just as the federal government fell short of a deadline to reunite families separated under a federal zero-tolerance immigration policy. Feds´ new rules could stop asylum surge

The government’s citizenship agency issued new guidelines this week that will make it much tougher for many of the Central Americans streaming into the U.S. to claim asylum. Asylum officers at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services were instructed to make asylum-seekers prove not only that they were specifically targeted in their home countries, but that their governments either condoned the persecution or were so indifferent that they might as well have been complicit. That undercuts the standard argument given by many of the migrants making their way north from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, who describe dangerous neighborhoods and rough home lives
