Sony Pictures Condemns Peter Fonda’s ‘Abhorrent’

Sony Pictures Classics released a statement shredding actor Peter Fonda for his tweets, one of which called for 12-year-old Barron Trump to be raped — but the company said it would still release Boundaries, a new film co-starring Fonda.“Peter Fonda’s comments are abhorrent, reckless and dangerous, and we condemn them completely,” the film company said in an emailed statement late on Wednesday. However, the company went on to insist that pulling the upcoming Shana Feste-directed Boundaries, or trying to edit Fonda out of the film, would be “unfair” to the those involved. “It is important to note that Mr. Fonda

I’m not sure this is current information, but:

Michael Barker and Tom Bernard are co-presidents of Sony Pictures Classics—an autonomous division of Sony Pictures Entertainment founded in January 1992 (with Marcie Bloom) that distributes, produces and acquires independent films from the United States and around the world.

It seems to me that the film should be scrubbed. Then let his peers in the film who are damaged by that happening take care of Peter. And those who would use him in the future ponder the risk therein.

The disgraceful, frenzied reaction to President Trump´s press conference with Vladimir Putin on Monday would be hilarious if it were not so deadly serious. It goes without saying that the White House press corps and their international fellows who were present in the room hoped to use the event to attack Trump, no matter what he said. Had he convinced Putin to resign, they would have attacked with equal fervor. Following a private meeting between the two men, then further conversation with advisers, the people of the press seemed to think they were the stars of this show, that the

Beware the traitor, we are finding out. History will probably record that high-ranking government officials tried to overturn the election of Donald Trump. History, I suspect, will use the word coup and will call these people traitors. This is unpleasant stuff but also clarifying. A small group of people, well organized and focused on the same goal, can overturn and destroy much larger organizations.John Dewey and his supporters, a century ago, did not think of themselves as traitors, nor would they use the word coup. Disgraceful. Embarrassing. A complete lack of grasp of the situation. Such were the observations about President Trump’s performance at the joint press conference with Vladimir Putin. Everyone is free to like or dislike the way Trump navigates the world, but I would suggest those descriptions are more suited to the swarm of wild overreaction. Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the new darling of the Democratic party. In a recent interview, however, the upstart politico running in a hyper-liberal district in New York did not show command of the issues. Ocasio-Cortez was being interviewed by Margaret Hoover on the PBS show ‘Firing Line.’ Hoover asked very basic, softball questions of the young congressional candidate. In explaining her positions on the economy, Hoover asked Ocasio-Cortez “Do you think that capitalism has failed to deliver for working class Americans?” Hoover cited a currently booming US economy and low unemployment.
