´Darlene´ to replace ´Roseanne´
American Thinker, by Ed Straker

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit

Goodbye American Broadcasting Company. You knew Roseanne Barr was a flexible bawd when you hired her. One must wonder if her fealty for Trump was an honest opinion or a way to tweek the powers at ABC. Doesn´t much matter now, does it? (I remember her national anthem incident she created out of whole cloth--that was a slap in the American face, IMO.)

The Cosby show is still being shown while all of the Roseanne shows have been pulled after she made a stupid statement. A stupid statement verses a serial rapist. Does this make any sense? Roseanne should have painted herself black and she would still have her shows.

Michelle Obama made the request to her friend Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, that resulted in the demise of the Roseanne show.
Below in her speech accepting a recent award, Dungey quotes Michelle Obama.."as the one and only Michelle Obama memorably said "when they go low we go high". https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/abc-president-channing-dungey-e2-80-9cwhen-we-see-things-that-are-counter-to-our-values-and-beliefs-our-actions-must-match-our-words-e2-80-9d/ar-AAyCwKm

Maybe Darlene can bring her real life "wife" on the show so it can have more family drama. Rosanne made the show and I loved the character she played. Pass on the new one.

Won´t remotely work, and in fact I think there will be a backlash. I certainly was not for Roseanne´s Jarrett comments (although why that woman should be protected from comment is beyond me) but then I am not for the significantly much more scurrilous comments made by any number of Network (Joy Reed etc.) and Cable "stars" who are still standing and even awarded. I think the Network, the same one that ditched "Last Man Standing" despite great ratings, used the comments as an excuse. May they rot in peace.

The whole thing would have blown over in a couple of months if you lefties hadn’t made such a big deal of it. Trump insults you don’t care about, but heaven forbid, you insult the prophet Obama! Who is going to watch that show without Roseanne? It’s a rhetorical question. Bring her back with a statement that she has been punished enough and all is forgiven. Ratings will be better than ever.

Media will try and twist the numbers to make it look like this works, but turning the show over to a less talented, minor actor who has huge likeability issues of her own is just standard ABC stupidity. The only thing dumber than the head of ABC are the rest of the executives who keep the dope in his position of power.

´Darlene´ is so vapid and so dim you have to look up her name to find out who the lesbian actress is who plays her. I saw her briefly on the View and it was obvious that the poor woman was lost without a script to memorize and ´emote.´ She will love the attention, but without Roseanne setting up the joke, the entire premise will be about as exciting as the View announcing they are going to become a sitcom. A slightly smarter executive board would have surfed on the outrage and increased the ratings, but weasels gotta be weasels.

I didn´t watch the new show, but read a good many of the stories about how it came to be. Sara Gilbert, who plays Darlene, came up with the idea. Roseanne apparently only agreed to do the show if Gilbert was the person to deal with the writers, etc., because Roseanne recalled it being hell to argue about the direction of the show. That was ominous. Gilbert, a lesbian, came up with the "gender fluid" grandson. When the show was a success, Gilbert stayed in the background. It felt like she was just waiting. Then, the tweet, and now renaming the show for her character. That worked out well for her, didn´t it?

It worked because it was pretty much the only show left on TV (since the demise of "Last Man Standing") that didn´t make conservatives look like neo-Nazi´s.

Clearly, without Roseanne, this will just be another LIE-beral love fest. And since it will center on Darlene, you can bet that she will suddenly realize that she is a lesbian and will "come out" by week 3!!!!

Awards galore from all the Hollyweird awards shows -- but cancellation after one season because of no viewers!!!

Former CIA Director John Brennan continued Tuesday to criticize President Trump’s performance at the Helsinki summit, saying Mr. Trump could have potentially risked intelligence capabilities during his private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the intel community might begin to withhold intelligence from Mr. Trump. In light of Mr. Trump’s comments about the intelligence community, Mr. Brennan said “there very well might be” a shift in the covert community to “withhold vital intelligence” in order to protect that information. “Dan Coats and Gina Haspel need to be on top of their game now and speak truth to power,” he

San Francisco Mayor London Breed said the streets of her city are flooded with the excrement of the homeless in an interview Friday. Breed, a Democrat who was inaugurated as San Francisco’s mayor Wednesday, urged homeless advocacy groups that receive money from the city to teach homeless people to “clean up after themselves.” “There is more feces on the sidewalks than I’ve ever seen growing up here,” Breed told KNTV. “That is a huge problem and we are not just talking about from dogs — we’re talking about from humans.” The streets of San Francisco are littered with a “dangerous

Whether Democrats realize it or not, the names being tossed as potential 2020 challengers to President Trump are weak. It’s milquetoast. All far too left for the American voter, and all with rigid regional appeal. Who knows who Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is outside of New Jersey? The same could be said for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) doesn’t resonate outside of the Boston suburbs. And Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), well, she’s working hard to boost her profile, but she’s running aground with the Bernie crowd. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) could run again, but his age—and the

President Donald Trump’s comments during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday were “treasonous,” former CIA Director John Brennan asserted. “Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors,’” Brennan, a vocal Trump critic, wrote on Twitter. “It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???” Trump and Putin fielded questions from reporters at a joint summit in Helsinki following a one-on-one meeting earlier in the day. Trump praised Putin during

A 63-year-old father of 43 children was found beaten to death Sunday afternoon in his home on Chicago´s West Side. The body of John Hearring -- known as Nicholas -- was discovered with head trauma in his upstairs apartment in the 1000-block of North Leamington Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood. Multiple family members confirmed that he had 43 children. Hearring was a long-time resident there and well-known in the neighborhood. "He was the nicest man you´d ever want to meet. I don´t get it. All this killing is so senseless and now they are targeting the elderly," said Gwen Bridgeforth, his daughter-in-law.
