Italy bars two more
refugee ships from ports

Guardian [UK], by Chris Stephen

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 6/17/2018 1:10:40 AM

Italy’s interior minister has sparked a new migration crisis in the Mediterranean by barring two rescue boats from bringing refugees to shore, a week after the Aquarius was prevented from docking. “Two other ships with the flag of Netherlands, Lifeline and Seefuchs, have arrived off the coast of Libya, waiting for their load of human beings abandoned by the smugglers,” Matteo Salvini, the leader of the anti-immigrant party the League, wrote on his Facebook page. “These gentlemen know that Italy no longer wants to be complicit in the business of illegal immigration, and therefore will have to look for other ports

Human smugglers set sail from Africa in unsuitable vessels loaded with "migrants," European non-government organizations collect them at sea and try to drop them off in Italy, which does not want any more refugees. Yet the first line of the article says Italy is to blame for sparking a migration crisis. Why don´t these brave Africans try to make something of their home countries, instead of looking to enrich Europe by their mere presence?

The ships captain is responsible for the safety of his crew and passengers.

The ships should return to the nearest port in Africa, perhaps ports in Libya or Tunisia, and discharge their human cargo on dry land where they will be safe.

UK Guardian, there is no migration crisis. There is a crisis of people like you coddling corrupt governments that produce alleged migrants. They suffer no consequences for selling out their people since you and others including the entire US political class will cover for them. You take for granted that other countries will punish and tax their innocent citizens to death to take in so-called migrants.

To say that Italy turned away boatloads of rapists and murderers is not a stretch of the truth. These people, like the South American flotsam we reject, continue to live their lives in the host country just as they lived at home. They do not automatically "deserve" sanctuary.

We know this is not a crisis but a manufactured one for news. Italy didn´t turn ´migrants´ away they turned a boat load of muggers and thieve who were piled on a ship and pointed at Italy for a gateway to Europe.

I´ve made several trips to Italy in recent years. Every tourist site is full of Africans wandering around selling selfie-sticks and other assorted detrius to the tourists. Good for Italy that they won´t take in any more. Now to get rid of the ones who are already there......

The Women’s March opposes XX. A pre-written — and poorly edited — statement from the Women’s March on President Trump’s Supreme Court nomination became the subject of mockery on Twitter on Monday night, including from Mr. Trump’s former press secretary. The feminist group blasted out a statement shortly after Mr. Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh, saying him confimation would “further erode protections for almost every marginalized group in America.” The introduction to the statement read “In response to Donald Trump’s nomination of XX to the Supreme Court of the United States.” While the statement also spelled the judge’s name as

Health-care-related bankruptcies, touted as a key justification for passing Obamacare in 2010, are not nearly as prevalent as reform proponents such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren have claimed, researchers say. Findings of an exhaustive report published in the American Economic Review this year have sparked a lively debate as the Trump administration rolls back key portions of the health care law. Matthew Notowidigdo, an associate professor of economics at Northwestern University, and fellow researchers looked at the rate of first-time health emergencies and resulting debt levels for patients. The result: About 4 percent of insured patients and 6 percent of uninsured

The Trump administration is taking

The Trump administration announced Saturday it will temporarily suspend a program meant to stabilize Obamacare markets by halting billion of dollars in payouts to insurance companies. The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services — known by the abbreviation CMS — will temporarily stop so-called “risk-adjustment payments” used to steady Obamacare health insurance premiums. Risk-adjustment payments are one way the Affordable Care Act — Obamacare’s formal name — stabilizes health insurance prices. The payments work this way: The government takes money from insurers with healthier, low-risk customers, and gives it to insurers with less-healthy, higher-risk customers.

Moreover, liberals are upset that the Trump administration may have convinced Justice Anthony Kennedy to recently announce his retirement, viewing that effort as dirty pool. That Kennedy, age 81, is nobody’s fool – and is unlikely to have been manipulated – appears irrelevant. The real offense, which actually merits outrage from the left, is that
