The Key to Trump´s
Success in North Korea

Who would have thought a real estate developer from New York City, famous for plastering his name in big letters on his buildings, would be a champion in foreign policy? Big surprise: It turns out that being confident, tough, and aggressive works well for a president dealing with dangerous pipsqueaks like ISIS and North Korea. Trump isn´t intimidated by anybody. Not by business rivals, not by critics, not by rogue FBI agents, not by foreign leaders. Certainly not by failed experts who urge meekness, caution, and limited goals. Our president is devoted to one thing: winning for America. He does listen to

Americans can thank God and Donald J. Trump (and all who have had a hand in making him who he is). He emerged with his insight, fortune, abilities, determination, and family support... to lead us away from the horror Obama, the Communists and the Islamists were wreaking on our beautiful land. "Mine Eyes have seen the Glory ... "

This is a good, entertaining read. From the article: "He does understand how power works. Korea could thumb its nose at us because it was protected by China. So, first, Trump removed that protection by going after China."

We will see how this all turns out...and then I want to know the full story (though I do agree that taking on China first was the right move). While I think Trump deserves credit for standing strong, I believe the biggest difference between him and other presidents is this: he has hired the right people and turned them loose to do their jobs. Pompeo as SoS, Bolton as NSA and then their deputies. Right people, right chairs, makes all the difference.

Ignoring the self-proclaimed experts and using common sense is usually a workable strategy. President Trump has a natural instinct for success and does not hesitate to use it.

Once again, Uno pins Obama´s ears to the wall.

God Help Me! Please!

I just completed a ten-hour TV viewing session of CNN and MSNBC, five hours each. I also pray I´ll recover. Fox News Channel is, and has been, my go-to place for news and commentary for more years than I can remember. FNC is not perfect - what is? - but on balance it´s pretty much been satisfying my desire for well-rounded reporting and editorializing.

Programs consisting of a host and guests were what I was seeking. Did I find them? Indeed I did and it didn´t take long to recognize the singular pattern all of them had in common. It was ´All Trump All Wrong All The Time TV´. They´re obsessed. According to them, our President can do no right whatsoever. How can he say such flattering things to an evil, almost inhuman dictator?

Say what you will about our President, those of us who´ve been paying attention for years know darn well that Donald Trump has been, is and almost always will be a super salesman. The hosts and guests on the aforementioned channels have proven to me that, unless their words and actions are a ruse, they are the epitome of naivety. I almost feel sorry for them. But, then I detect their obvious supplies of flop-sweat at which time my Challenge Number One is the stifling of my chuckle-reflex. But I digress.

I could go on and on, but as a favor to both of us, I´ll end it here. Except to say... Just the thought of democrats regaining the power they used to have is unbearable. Better yet, unthinkable!

Excellent step by step summation

I found President Trump´s good cop / bad cop technique unique and perfectly delivered.
He gives something and then takes it away.
He used it at the G7 as well. It´s called taking control. The media naysayers will whine and squeal, but they don´t have a clue or the intelligence to understand the process of what he accomplished.
Not since Reagan have we seen this type of clear and bold leadership on the world stage.

I don´t think it was just threats and intimidation, however effective. It was important to show Kim what was in it for him. And that, PDT was able to do better than anyone else. Just pointing across the border and reminding the Nork that both countries were at the same spot seventy years ago - backward, poor, devastated by war. Wouldn´t Kim like to get something like that glittering life for himself and his people? I bet the point was never made that succinctly and directly to him. We had a President who himself hated capitalism and all its rewards and went around abjectly apologizing. Then only two steps. One, point out the utter hopelessness of the other choice. And two, provide real assurances of a safe passage, personally and nationally, to the other side. Xi might have helped here. But..as they say, let us look and wait.

President Trump turned the boat over, doesn´t need cocktails, and responds in kind ++ to bad actors.

Trump made good use of the win/win strategy. He put himself in Kim’s shoes and offered a vision of what could be North Korea’s future. I predict Kim will clean house of his clapping seal octogenarian Generals with campaign medals extending down their pants. I further predict he’ll turn to Trump for advice in the future.

What a joy this article is to read.

"That is what tough looks like. That is how a responsible president behaves when he sees a small country threatening international stability and the safety of our own nation."

Yes! WHY did we let ourselves be held hostage to bad actors that could be squashed with a flick of our strength, both economic and military?

Sure, this is just a start, but a start backed by overwhelming strength and the willingness to use it. That´s an enormous difference from past efforts that got a signed document and assumed victory. The threat of oblivion is real to NK and Kim knows it. It wouldn´t be another long drawn out struggle in rice patties. It would be MOABs, cruise missiles, and smart bombs that completely eradicate NK leadership without a single US soldier setting foot in NK. Their "million men" and landmines would be a joke.

I would think the Palestinians should be thinking about how to get to peace right about now.

Iran is a bigger problem but economic tools and internal revolution will be effective over time. All that´s needed is the will.

It´s time for the end of petty tyrants and their threats.

President Trump is brilliant isn´t he? Thank you God!

I see something slightly different here. Kim is much younger than President Trump. Kim has been having a temper tantrum for years to try and get noticed, to get respect, to get what he wants.

As I said when President Trump stepped on to the dais for his inauguration "Big Daddy is in the house!" In so many instances in his presidency, President Trump often has the vibe of a good father.

It almost seems that Kim might find in him the "father" figure he so longs for. For approval, respect and ..someone to praise good behavior and correct bad behavior. Watch as NK responds to direction, good ideas and the warm response of its neighbors and the rest of the globe. Thanks Big Daddy!

Think of the odds: every day, for years, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been cranking out studies, talking points, and direct mail (oh, sweet, sweet mail!) to show how black people are victims of relentless white racism, all the time, everywhere, and that explains everything. Just a few days ago, the SPLC declared that black-on-white violence is the "biggest lie" because everyone knows the real problem is white-on-black violence. By any reasonable account, the historic meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un, resulting in an agreement pledging to work toward a stable and enduring peace (over six decades after the Korean armistice was signed at Panmunjom) was an incredible achievement. We are in the midst of a spin battle over the Inspector General’s report issued yesterday. Because Inspectors General cannot release their reports without giving those named within it a chance to contest it, and must be able to defend every single word of it, they must stick to facts and completely documentable conclusions.
