Ryan Sets Votes on Immigration as
Moderates’ Revolt Falls Short

New York Times, by Sheryl Gay Stolberg & Thomas Kaplan

WASHINGTON — After frenzied late-night negotiations, Speaker Paul D. Ryan defused a moderate Republican rebellion on Tuesday with a promise to hold high-stakes votes on immigration next week, thrusting the divisive issue onto center stage during a difficult election season for Republicans. The move by Mr. Ryan, announced late Tuesday by his office, was something of a defeat for the rebellious immigration moderates, who fell two signatures short of the 218 needed to force the House to act this month on bipartisan measures aimed more directly at helping young immigrants brought to the country illegally

Please don´t play this stupid game unless you plan to include funding for the WALL!!!!! Otherwise it´s just a huge waste of taxpayer money to waste Congress´ time debating and voting on this garbage!!!

President Trump has made it very clear that he will veto any DACA legislation that doesn´t secure the border!!! In case you haven´t noticed, he means what he says, and says what he means!!!

The sooner Ryan is gone, the better!!!!!

You know why it fell short? Because they know republican voters would kick their sorry butts out if they passed amnesty with no guarantee of a national e-verify, the border wall, end to chain migration, and en end to anchor babies. We got suckered once into granting amnesty. Never again! Do you hear us, congress????

This is just one of many Ryan plans to stick it to PT. No DACA legalization without the wall, an end to chain migration, building the wall, requiring only the best be admitted to the country if they can contribute anything, cut off welfare and make sponsors house and feed them, etc.

Vote on the Goodlatte bill!! Then we´ll see who really wants to take on the whole issue and solve it once and for all.

The other bill, is an open framework. Typical Ryan bs that will not solve anything.

E-verify (with stiff consequences for companies),chain migration, birthright citizenship, visa overstays, the wall, guest worker reforms. Without ALL of these and probably some other issues, Congress is doing nothing to permanently solve this issue. Ryan is delivering one last time on promises he made to big business, in exchange for campaign contributions! Watch ´THE SWAMP´ on Youtube. It is disgusting and must be exposed!

There should be No DACA, and only funding for the Wall. That ship sailed.
The President has added YUGE amounts of political capital to his pile of chips since that offer was made and rejected. It should be no longer on the table.

Again, please fund the Wall, and No to DACA and all the associated loopholes for illegals to follow.
Wages are still depressed because there is a supply of 10´s of millions too many illegals. Who cares if the Gentry Dems and GOP-e want their serfs. We The People are the sovereign, and want the country back.

All politics is local. Note how few "Republicans" signed the discharge - will all Democrats, to get near 218. Will those supposedly "willing to sign" vote yea? I doubt it or there would have been no reticence in signing discharge petition. There will likely be much Presidential arm twisting on this one.

Any bill passed has to be signed by Trump. If "immigration reform" is as unpopular as thought, his veto will be another feather in the President´s cap. If not, then some GOPers, RINO or not, saved their skins with their vote.

Ryan has always been a cheap labor amnesty supporting Republican. It has been establishment Republicans like Ryan, along with the Democrats who have held up fixing the immigration laws to stop mass uncontrolled illegal immigration for decades.

The most important factor in stopping future illegal immigration is the institution of a competent modern e-verify electronic system, that all US employers must be required to use anytime they hire anyone. Today technology is such that such checks can be accomplished almost instantaneously using electronic card readers that only cost a few dollars and can attach to a computer or smartphone. For such a system to run efficiently they should also reissue the social security card in modern credit card form, bearing a photograph, that and other biometric information that can be checked electronically. Then illegal alien imposters would no longer be able to get most US jobs worth them having.

Those electronic systems would be a lot less expensive then all the money that governments at all levels spend each year due to uncontrolled mass illegal immigration.

Former House Freedom Caucus Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Breitbart News Daily on Tuesday that the Paul Ryan amnesty bill is inconsistent with the mandate of the 2016 election for Donald Trump’s promised border wall and reform immigration. The Donald Trump administration has faced increasing leftist and establishment attacks over their strict border enforcement policies, in which all illegal border-crossers are detained and charged with crimes, while their children are moved to shelters operated by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Officials hope that the strict enforcement will serve as a deterrent for aliens attempting to cross the

Illegal Immigration: The latest outrage by the Trump administration is its policy of "ripping" children away from parents who´ve crossed the border illegally. As with so many other things involving Trump, there´s plenty of emotion but precious little in the way of facts. The furor reached critical mass after the Department of Homeland Security said on Friday that 1,995 children had been separated from their illegal border crossing parents from mid-April through May. That number included, DHS said, cases where the adults were arrested for illegal entry, immigration violations, or possible criminal conduct. The practice has generated a rising storm of protests,
