Trump’s Statesmanship Surprise
American Thinker, by David Prentice

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 6/12/2018 4:33:30 AM

Nobody knew. None of us saw it. Amongst his biggest supporters, maybe a handful suspected it. Many of us expected the economic renewal of the US to happen. Many of us foresaw a significant roll back of Saint Barrack’s horrid, destructive agenda. A lot of us hoped for a major push back on the left. All of which we have gotten. None of us, no one I have read, no one I know, expected Donald Trump to be a giant in foreign policy. No one expected him to reshape the world. Yet Donald Trump, in a short time, is doing so. That was supposed to be one of the reasons to vote against him. He had no foreign policy experience.

He associates with and reads the wrong people. Many of us are not surprised at all that President Trump has done what he has. He has a pretty good sense of what makes people tick. He is far smarter than given credit for, and that actually gives him an advantage.

Prentice needs to get out in the real world.

FTA:

As Americans, we can be certain Trump will not sell us out. Whether this summit succeeds in actually changing North Korea and denuclearizing the peninsula, we won’t really know for a while. What we do know is no other American leader has succeeded in getting this far. What we do know is that Trump as foreign policy expert will continue to surprise us and the world.

I did not know Donald Trump would be this good. I only knew Hillary Clinton would be that bad. That was more than enough to sway my vote. Plus, I deeply enjoyed watching DJT demolish the Republican establishment´s anointed successors.

Unlike me, the National Review knew a lot in 2016, and most of it was wrong. If we had listened to them, Hillary would be president, and none of this would be happening. They were unforgivably stupid in 2016, and they are irredeemably arrogant now. President Trump cleaned out the Republican establishment for us. Now we have to clean out the conservative movement.

"He had no foreign policy experience."

No. Trump had no use for a entrenched, moldy, foreign policy structure. That´s why the State Department has been sidelined. They were good at "statecraft" but useless at actually getting valuable things done.

Trump does have enormous experience with governments and government structure of all kinds. He also is pretty agenda free except for some broad stroke points. He wants peaceful coexistence with everyone and he wants fair deals between countries. However, "peaceful" coexistence doesn´t mean allowing belligerents to run wild. The US KNOWS how to be NOT peaceful. Ask ISIS. Now we are getting closer to peace without their existence.

NK shows that Trump, despite all Leftist caricatures, knows how to build relationships with difficult people.

Trump has the military, economic, and political power to force change in the world and he is wonderfully facile in using all types of power to achieve what he wants. His vision, so far, has been stunningly good. He is gracious in victory and deadly in conflicts.

China and Putin should remember this. Iran should remember this. The Palestinians should remember this. The G7 should remember this. The US Congress should remember this. Mueller should remember this.

The Left/media/entertainers/dems/BO/BO´s minions should be terrified. If Trump continues in this vein, and there is no reason to think he will not, they are going to be washed away for a long time.

I voted for religious freedom and states rights as in GOP platform. President Trump has grown on me. He seems to have been so tired by the obama decline that he had to give up his posh life and do what he wanted done himself. Can´t help liking him, warts and all, because of his ability to make world changes with the yapping of hounds trying to bring him down is planned disruption.

From time to time, the media tell the truth about issues that have a racial edge, usually by accident. Such was the case in February of this year, when a local TV news crew visited a largely black St. Louis neighborhood to follow up on a hit-and-run incident. A speeding car had struck two ten-year-old boys and kept on going. Local people were outraged. The FBI is many things to many people, but seen from the inside where I spent my career as an FBI agent, most of all it is a bureaucracy. The evident abuses of the vast investigatory powers of the Bureau to surveil the campaign of Donald Trump has left a paper and electronic trail as it jumped through the many procedural hoops required for Spygate to unfold. Based on a clue from the Strzok-Page texts and my understanding of the rules the FBI has to play by, it is possible to piece together a picture of how and why surveillance

By any reasonable account, the historic meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un, resulting in an agreement pledging to work toward a stable and enduring peace (over six decades after the Korean armistice was signed at Panmunjom) was an incredible achievement. In fact, had Obama or Clinton achieved as much, we would expect a ticker-tape parade down Fifth Avenue. North Korea has agreed to completely denuclearize and has begun the process, according to reports of satellite imagery, and has agreed to return the remains of U.S. military who perished in North Korea. Much to the relief of news directors everywhere, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) released this week its long-awaited report about the Biggest Lie that the baddest people believe: The myth of black on white crime. The real problem is white on black violence, says the SPLC in its new fairy tale called “Hate: The Biggest Lie.” And this white on black crime has been going on for a long time, doing a lot of damage, including from killers like Dylan Roof. The left has created a macabre myth that runs counter to the whole experience of mankind. The left has persuaded the gullible masses of America, including, sadly, most conservatives, that "discrimination" by individuals and businesses is wrong and that it violates the Constitution. Precisely the opposite is true. All serious cognition and all honest moral judgments involve discrimination. When individuals and businesses are not free to discriminate, then the power to determine what is true and false and good and bad becomes the sole property of the state – or that even more odious creature, that lobotomized

We are in the midst of a spin battle over the Inspector General’s report issued yesterday. Because Inspectors General cannot release their reports without giving those named within it a chance to contest it, and must be able to defend every single word of it, they must stick to facts and completely documentable conclusions. Inductive reasoning, looking at large patterns of facts and drawing conclusions does not survive such a process. The result is a report that is written in a kind of code. Illegal Immigration: The latest outrage by the Trump administration is its policy of "ripping" children away from parents who´ve crossed the border illegally. As with so many other things involving Trump, there´s plenty of emotion but precious little in the way of facts. The furor reached critical mass after the Department of Homeland Security said on Friday that 1,995 children had been separated from their illegal border crossing parents from mid-April through May. That number included, DHS said, cases where the adults were arrested for illegal entry, immigration violations, or possible criminal conduct. The practice has generated a rising storm of protests,
