Explaining Jeff Sessions
American Thinker, by Hugh McInnish

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 6/10/2018 9:01:20 AM

I have known Jeff Sessions for a long time. In 1994, he was running for Alabama attorney general, and I was running for the congressional seat presently occupied by Mo Brooks. Jeff and I, then, were on the same GOP ticket in my congressional district, and we showed up at times on the same stump. He won, and I lost. (snip) Jeff is no Patton, and no amount of friendly encouragement can make him so. Personalities are not malleable. In a word, Jeff Sessions is a splendid man caught by circumstances in a job for which he is ill suited.

His failing is not that he is not a fighter, his failing is in not admitting that he is not the man for the job and making way for someone who is. Perhaps he is a prime example of howthe senate works.

Being mild mannered should not prevent him from doing his job; quietly indicting people in the DOJ and FBI who are abusing their positions for personal gain and committing criminal acts for the democrats.

I agree with this Author´s assessment. Sessions is a Good man! Just not suited for a job where you have to get down and dirty. Why not reassign him and move Mick Mulvaney into the AG position? So far Mick is Slashing and Burning the Holdovers from the Obama Administration. Something that Sessions has not done. It NEEDS to be done! Way overdue! Mulvaney is getting the job done wherever he is sent. I think he is up to the task of cleaning house in the DOJ!

Sessions has been institutionalized. He consciously does not realize that he is part of the deep state. He thinks he is doing a great job with great integrity but he is a big part of the problem. To bad he cannot or will not see it.

With all due respect, why don´t you and all Jeff´s friends tell him he´s an embarrassment to the American people who elected Trump. That, He´s no better than the corrupt deep state thugs he´s protecting. That, He´s going down in history as an arrogant, incompetent fool. That, He´s unfit for the job. Tell him, if he has any sense of decency, he´d resign from that Office.
Gather your friends and make an appointment to see ole Jeff. I´m sure he´l see you, he´s not doing anything else.

Right on #4..."In a word, Jeff Sessions is a splendid man caught by circumstances in a job for which he is ill suited." The Senate is the exact wrong place for someone to prepare for an executive role...the latest two presidents to come directly from the Senate have been disasters (well JFK didn´t serve long enough for the full negative impact but the downhill slide was gaining momentum).

I´ve said this a number of times on social media, our President Trump said he would never telegraph what he was going to do until he did it.

If AG Sessions was so bad at doing his job, I truly believe that President Trump would have given him the booth.

I´ve heard rumors that AG Sessions had a truck load of indictments ready to execute, and he is just waiting for the IG report this Thursday. And if the left and other anti-trumpeters feel all is well, when the world comes crashing in on them they won´t know what hit them.

It has taken the left and anti-American POLs 40 years to get to this point, fixing it and draining the swamp doesn´t happen over night.

Sessions is not ´caught by circumstances´...he threw in with Trump when he started running and later asked for this job. Sessions knows he is not equipped to handle this job, so the country has to suffer because Sessions is so stupid not to realize what his shortcomings are? If he were a gentleman he would have long ago resigned, because in any company he would have long been fired!

By any reasonable account, the historic meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-un, resulting in an agreement pledging to work toward a stable and enduring peace (over six decades after the Korean armistice was signed at Panmunjom) was an incredible achievement. In fact, had Obama or Clinton achieved as much, we would expect a ticker-tape parade down Fifth Avenue.
