New York Times reporter broke
the biggest rule in journalism

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

On previous occasions, I’ve written about the blunt way legendary New York Times editor Abe Rosenthal dealt with a conflict of interest. The story bears repeating after the indictment of a top Senate official over his contacts with reporters, including one from the Times with whom he had a romantic relationship. The Rosenthal standard on conflicts was shaped by a remarkably similar case decades ago. Soon after a woman who had covered politics in Philadelphia was hired by the Times, a story from Philly said she had a secret affair with a politician she covered and accepted expensive gifts from him. What used to be called tabloid journalism has gone mainstream. There is no difference in paying a source for information with cash and paying a source for information with sex?
Journalism no longer has any rules or standards.

Whether she is fired or not, nothing will change. Some women learn at an early age how to use sex for what they want and it becomes their main tool for success in marriage, jobs, social climbing, etc. Most Congressmen live a double life of a family at home and a young bimbo in Washington, it´s a way of life for them (Chandra Levy), They have three day work weeks, make more money than they deserve, a paid for residence in Washington (thank you taxpayers) and a position of prestige and power that draws young girls´ attention. When I lived in Washington, the ratio of women to men was eight to one. The selection was like a freshly stocked fish pond for men.

This girl had a reputation as a top student at Temple and a skilled reporter yet she was young and dumb enough to get caught. There will be others doing the same thing right now who are smarter. No wonder we have so many leaks.

Rudy Giuliani’s love life is causing trouble for the White House. In a move that blindsided the West Wing and sent Hill Republicans into a tizzy, the president’s personal attorney is throwing his support behind an obscure House candidate in Louisiana trying to take out incumbent GOP Rep. Clay Higgins. But the bizarre tale of Giuliani’s interest in an off-the-radar congressional race only begins there. It turns out the ex-New York mayor’s new girlfriend, GOP fundraiser Jennifer LeBlanc, is working for the Republican challenger in the race, Josh Guillory. LeBlanc had been on Higgins’ payroll until late last year when she abruptly

President Trump’s decision to endorse a “zero tolerance” border policy aligns his administration squarely with the populist, anti-immigration movement that has swept Europe and brought hard-right leaders to power amid an unprecedented wave of global migration. As Trump this week defended his administration’s border security strategy by warning that lax immigration laws are “destroying our country,” Italy’s new interior minister, Matteo Salvini, was announcing plans to conduct a national census with the aim of deporting ethnic Roma who had not attained citizenship. This comes after the Italian government this month blocked a rescue ship carrying hundreds of migrants from docking in

Amid the Trump administration´s crackdown on illegal immigration, thousands of children were separated from their families, while parents were prosecuted under a "zero-tolerance" policy. On Wednesday afternoon, Donald Trump signed an executive order that he said would keep immigrant families at the border together "while ensuring we have a powerful, very strong border." From May, when the policy was enacted, through June 9, almost 2,300 children have been separated from their parents, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Despite the sprawl of Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz’s 568-page report on the Clinton-emails investigation, there is precious little discussion of the most important issue: The Justice Department and FBI’s rationale for declining to prosecute Hillary Clinton. I believe this is intentional. The inspector general’s message is: “Despite pervasive political bias and investigative irregularities, which I have comprehensively documented, rest assured that nothing too terrible happened here.” That silver-lining version of this dark spectacle could not have survived a searching analysis of the decision not to indict.
