Elites Value Mellifluous Illegality
over Crass Lawfulness

National Review, by Victor Davis Hanson

Original Article

Donald Trump blusters nonstop. He offers contrasting messages about whether, on any given day, he might fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, or Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. His tweets are certainly not presidential, at least as the adjective is usually understood. At perpetual campaign rallies, Trump mocks his critics, caricaturing their voices and slamming them with adolescent epithets like “Cryin’ Chuckie Schumer.” He accuses House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of being an enabler of M-13 gang members after she chastised him for calling such psychopaths “animals.”

FTA: "Recall that Obama came into office promising that he would could lower the seas and cool the planet, with a generation of young like-mind activists who, we were lectured, were the ones we had all been waiting for. Now president emeritus Obama worries that perhaps his messianic appearance came too soon for us to fully appreciate his divinity."

I love that paragraph. Dr. Hanson sure knows how to write well. When the messiah Obama was separated from his teleprompter he was exposed to be the bumbling fool that he was dancing to the tune of the radical leftists who controlled him, like the vile, evil Jarrett. This is one of his best articles. He rightly eviscerates the evil, corrupt, lawless Obama.

What he says so pithily is sad but true... Obama style over Trumpian substance... media ignoring Clinton and Obama corruption while seeking it with Trump where none exists... a sad collusion of professional bureaucrats and media liberals... the former committing crimes and the latter ignoring them. Why does leftism always trend toward corruption and absolutism?

VDH certainly rips the mask of respectability from the Obama Administration.

The Left has no interest in or respect for individual liberty or the law (and weren´t Obama & Co. the first national politicians who openly disrespected the Constitution?). Without exception, collectivism descends into tyranny. The people get crumbs, and the handful of leaders acquire dangerous amounts of power, which corrupts them.

"Trump has not broken the law the way that Obama routinely did quite simply because he cannot" because "The media is so hostile to his every act".

I think this is naive. The full investigative power of the government has been brought to bear on Trump and they found NOTHING. Not just no Russia, no ANYTHING. Mueller has not constrained his search to just Russia as many people can attest. If there had been something illegal Trump did 10 years ago, we would know about it.

I believe that while Trump plays hardball, he stays within the rules. He has done this through a long business career. He deserves respect for that.

"Our elite always values the messenger over the message."

And isn´t this a fundamental corruption of reason and morality? Hitler, as a messenger, spoke charismatically and convinced his country to wage war against the world. If the German people had stopped to question his message, maybe we could have been spared the horrors of WWII.

Our elite are destroying our Country by undermining its principles and breaking its laws. Then, with more elites in the courts, they give themselves a pass, until law becomes meaningless.

You could almost hear liberals gnash their teeth Monday night as President Trump nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. They know they have almost no chance of preventing his confirmation. Kavanaugh is widely liked in Washington legal circles. He gave a humanizing introductory speech after the president introduced him at a White House ceremony. The judge has impeccable educational qualifications and already serves on the powerful U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. He is even respected by liberals such as Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, who hired him to teach at Harvard Law School before she

Last week, on the MSNBC TV show "Morning Joe," MSNBC contributor Donny Deutsch said that every American who votes for President Donald Trump is a Nazi. His exact words: "If you vote for Trump, then you, the voter -- you, not Donald Trump -- are standing at the border like Nazis going, ´You here. You here.´" Now, as virtually every Jew of Deutsch´s generation knows, a Nazi saying, "You here. You here," refers to guards at Nazi extermination camps sending Jews to gas chambers or to work the barracks.

Sen. Jeff Flake has gone public with his threat to stall judicial nominations seeking action to rebuff President Donald Trump on tariffs. It comes more than a week after the Arizona Republican first held up the nomination of Britt Grant to be a judge on the Atlanta-based 11th Circuit Court of Appeals at the Judiciary Committee. “We’ve approved a number of judges. That is important,” Flake said Sunday. “But, Article I — the Congress, Article II — the executive, are important as well.”

I confess to being more weary than dizzy from the Dr. Gowdy–and–Mr. Trey routine. Just three weeks ago, Representative Gowdy, the South Carolina Republican who chairs the House Oversight Committee, assured us that everything was peachy with the FBI — no way, no how did the bureau “spy” on the Trump campaign when it deployed an “informant” to pry information from Trump-campaign officials. As Mollie Hemingway pointed out at the time, Gowdy had not seen relevant documents the FBI and Justice Department have been withholding from Congress — in fact, his spokeswoman said he did not even know what documents

The United States has resigned in protest from the UN Human Rights Council, which has a long and ignominious record of protecting the world’s worst abusers of human rights. The proximate cause of the U.S. resignation was the council’s unwillingness to act on the matter of Venezuela, where the socialist government of Nicolas Maduro is engaged in political massacres and the use of Soviet-style hunger-terror against its political enemies. Venezuela remains, incredibly enough, not only protected by the Human Rights Council but an active member of it, an honor shared Vladimir Putin’s Russia and its political assassins, the People’s Republic

South Florida’s not quite Jurassic Park, but it’s getting close. Packs of green iguanas are swarming seawalls, roaming yards and parks, and leaving a path of destruction and filth in their wake. Like a shot of espresso, the hot summer sun has stoked activity in the cold-blooded creatures, which experts say may be at record numbers. “This year is the most iguanas I’ve seen and I’ve been in business for nine years,” says Thomas Portuallo, owner of Fort Lauderdale-based Iguana Control.

Political correctness run amok is a popular topic on the right these days. Indeed, the conservative bookshelf is chock full of best-sellers devoted to the topic. Subject matters vary. One may focus on the hypocrisy of campus speech codes, another on the revisionist attempt to indict our founding fathers, yet another on secular progressivism’s relentless campaign against religious freedom. Still, progressive-inspired changes to our value system have made their mark — most notably during the eight-year reign of Barack Obama — and particularly among the generation popularly known as “Millennials.”

On June 27, the world’s first robot-crafted burger will roll off a conveyor belt in San Francisco and into the hands of the public. You could call it the freshest burger on Earth. The product, from Bay Area-based Creator, a culinary robotics company, is assembled and cooked in a machine that contains 20 computers, 350 sensors, and 50 actuator mechanisms. It does everything from slicing and toasting the brioche bun to adding toppings (to order) and seasoning and cooking the patties, all in five minutes. The meat is ground to order—why it’s touted as so fresh—and sourced from premium ingredients.

What do you do with an FBI agent, sworn to uphold the law, who flagrantly violates the law in a rogue investigation aimed at making a name for himself by bringing down some high-profile targets? Why . . . you promote him, of course. At least that is the way the Justice Department answered that question in the case of David Chaves, an FBI agent who serially and lawlessly leaked grand-jury information, wiretap evidence, and other sensitive investigative intelligence to the media in his quest to make an insider-trading case against some celebrities.

The indictment Friday of 12 Russian military officers for the election hacks against the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign lends a surprising new detail to the 2016 election interference timeline: The Kremlin’s hackers apparently still maintained a foothold in the DNC’s network four months after the Democrats announced that they’d locked the intruders out. Until today, the story of the DNC hack ended promptly on June 14, 2016, when the Democrats went public with the intrusion in the pages of the Washington Post, and Crowdstrike, the security firm hired to respond to the breach, published a detailed technical account. Thus, Americans suffer from illnesses that are easily traceable to third-world bathroom habits (TWBH) and lack of hygiene in the developing world.
