Clinton Bashes ‘Troubling’
Electoral College as ‘Odd System’

Washington Free Beacon, by David Rutz

Original Article

Posted By:MissMolly, 5/26/2018 4:52:05 AM

Hillary Clinton continued to attack the Electoral College system used to elect U.S. presidents on Friday, calling it an "odd system" and contrary to the idea of "one person, one vote." "I know this is another really obvious thing to say. Vote in every election, not just presidential elections," Clinton said at Harvard University, in a clip flagged by NTK Network. "You know, it is maddening because one of the panelists said we get the government that we vote for. Now, we have this odd system with the Electoral College." Clinton defeated Donald Trump in the popular vote by nearly three million

The only reason modern presidential races are even close is the socialist party´s stranglehold on California´s electoral college votes. When that changes, so does the entire game.

I am gleefully waiting for Connecticut to have to cast their electoral votes for a Republican someday. They passed the law about whoever gets the popular vote majority gets their electoral votes. They will change that law back in about a nanosecond.

The Butcher wants to change the electoral system so that cities with their big population centers determine every election for libtards. So much for "one person, one vote". This business of state combines getting together and tossing all the electoral votes into one basket for libtards is the exact same thing. Again, so much for "one person, one vote".

One thinks of Harvard as an esteemed institution of higher learning. Instead it is the Cambridge office of the DNC, with space set aside for the Green Party, the Socialist Workers Party, Black Liberation and other radical groups.

Much like our system of Congressional Representation with 2 Senators for each state without regard to population this was a critically important bargaining tool in convincing the smaller states to "Join the Union".

It´s not a bug...it´s a brilliant feature.

Hillary was playing chess and after she lost, she whines "These rules are unfair. We should play by checkers rules instead. I can understand checkers. Chess is just too confusing."

The hilarious thing is that both times Hillary ran, she started with the expectations of a coronation. Instead the voters declared, "Off with her head!". She still has no clue as to "What Happened".

Should California succeed to secede from the Union, Hillary´s theory would go out the window fast. Without those votes, many of them cast by illegals, California would no longer contribute to the popular vote, and Hillary would lose that way, too.

Among the founding fathers, there were probably some land barons from big population states who would have agreed with her. However, in order to form a union of states, they had to allow the smaller states some say in matters, or they would not have joined in. South Dakota would have felt like the conservative in San Francisco....why even bother to vote when they dominate everything?

Our Founding Fathers were brilliant beyond reason. They not only created the world´s first government with checks and balances, they also created a mechanism to amend it if so chosen.
One again, you are voting for electors In Your Own State. If your state votes the way you want - terrific - your job is done.

This all goes back to the notion that SORE LOSERS who cannot win have to change the rules of the game to have a chance.

The beauty of the Electoral College is that IT PROTECTS us from one state swaying all elections.

Around the time of the founding of our nation, New York state had about one millions citizens while the other 12 colonies we much smaller. In that scenario, New York would pic the President every time.

By letting each state determine its own vote, the winner of the majority vote in each state would determine who won.

It is a beautiful thing, especially as how much we are finding out how the whole thing was RIGGED, just how deep the corruption goes and how dirty the politics can be that we are too trusting and innocent to believe!

What people forget is something Trump said.

He did not put effort in California. If he had he would have gathered more votes.
If pure vote numbers determined an election all stay at home Republicans in places like California would then be voting because it would matter.
Our system is the best, but in Hillary´s case I believe she would have still lost if the rules were different.

The Shebeast believes she won the popular vote, but only because in most all States, once the vote count goes beyond the point where the trailing candidate can´t catch up, they simply declare the winner AND stop counting! They also don´t count the absentee ballots if they know how many there are, since they won´t make a difference.

The other fact here is that under 8 years of Idi Obama, the Dems increased their voter roles to 53% of urban citizens simply by increased the number on welfare and food stamps. That´s always been the plan to stay in perpetual power, to enslave the People into being "Takers" and not "Producers." Ayn Rand saw it coming.

Think about this for a second. It shows the importance of the electoral college and how each state has standing. I may be wrong but, if Trump won every state by 25,000 votes but lost only California by 3,000,000, he would lose the election by popular vote. Imagine winning 49 states and losing the election. Thats sickening. But to a sick democrat thats just fine. Bunch of jerks. Got it.

Here is something that you people might want to think about.
Most states had state legislature With two chambers - In Pennsylvania, for example, seats in the Assembly were based on population, and seats in the senate were based on geography, much like the U.S. congress.
Then along came Earl Warren and the Warren Court, and they ruled that such arrangements were unconstitutional - that both chambers had to be based on population.
That ruling took away the leavening effect in the two chamber system,. and allowed cities to allocate out of control state spending, mostly on cities. (Pennsylvania throws money at Philadelphia, where it is squandered, embezzled, or both.)
How could the U.S. supreme court change institutions that were in place at the time the country was created? Because Warren knew better than us yokels.

A very carefully thought out, and wonderfully constructed system to ensure that smaller states have somewhat more of a say in the election than would be possible without it.

Another brilliant feature of our Constitution, from our amazing Founding Fathers.

Only intellectually limited fools like Hellary cannot grasp it, or more likely, understand it exactly, but since it defeats their tyrannical goals, choose to pretend to misunderstand it.

First off, Obama encouraged illegals to get out and vote. They did, and that is why if you remove the winning numbers Clinton got in the popular vote, Trump wins that too.

Secondly, our Founding Fathers were inspired by God to create the Electoral College. This keeps the playing table level for the small states to be in the game with the bigger states. Only crooks like Clinton want to remove the last protection we voters have to keep the fraud at bay. Anything honest and above board is going to be odd to her.

I predict a plea bargain based on poor health, but she is riding it out as long as she can because she craves power. Whatever that means in her weird world. She already has more money than she can spend at this elderly period of her life. I guess she needs the power because of all the people she knows who would come after her in a heartbeat if she loses leverage.

HiLIARy says "one person, one vote" but what she is thinking is one person, one vote, one time. Then I will rule forever.

The Electoral College is a safety feature to prevent our representative republic from becoming a democracy.

Name one democracy that has lasted as long as our republic...there aren´t any, democracy always falls into despotism.

The United States isn´t just a country, it is a Union of separate States, the electoral college allows each state an equal say (2 votes) in elections as well as each person (same number of electors as Representatives in Congress). The votes of the losing side "count" as much as the votes of the winning side, but in the end, the state electors vote for president, no individual voter has ever voted for president.

In every election, the loser feels it wasn´t "fair" because "I lost" but no one has clung to that loss as publicly and with as much venom as the Corrupt One.

In one of their brave bursts of rage at the police state they live in, Democrats are now up in arms about voter suppression. They compare it to the days before the Civil Rights Acts and the civil rights movement. Nonwhites in the South were kept from the ballot by heavy poll taxes, tests laden with arcane bits of knowledge, or the threat or reality of actual violence. Those were cases of people who were longing to vote, but deprived of the franchise by malice aforethought. Today, things are about as different as you can imagine. Today, the supposed problem

More Americans are satisfied with the country’s direction than at any point during the Obama presidency, according to a Gallup poll released Monday. The survey found that 38 percent of the population is content with the way things are going — the highest rate since 39 percent of the country reported they were satisfied in September of 2005. The satisfaction rate, which Gallup began tracking in 1979, is also back in line with the historical average of 37 percent. And it’s the first time since 2005 that Gallup has recorded consecutive months with satisfaction above 35 percent. Last month, 37

As several cities continue their suit against oil companies, The People of the State of California v. BP, Judge William Alsup has boiled the case down to its pivotal question. In March he ordered the legal counsels of both parties to help him weigh “the large benefits that have flowed from the use of fossil fuels” against the possibility that such fuels may be causing global warming. Decades of commercial mountaineering have turned Mount Everest into the world´s highest rubbish dump as an increasing number of big-spending climbers pay little attention to the ugly footprint they leave behind. Fluorescent tents, discarded climbing equipment, empty gas canisters and even human excrement litter the well-trodden route to the summit of the 8,848-metre (29,029-foot) peak. "It is disgusting, an eyesore," Pemba Dorje Sherpa, who has summited Everest 18 times, told AFP. "The mountain is carrying tonnes of waste." As the number of climbers on the mountain has soared -- at least 600 people have scaled the world´s highest peak so far this year

How the Queen and Meghan Markle
Became Besties So Quickly

It was an extraordinary sight—as the queen and Meghan Markle sat on chairs watching a performance by a group of schoolchildren on Thursday, Meghan leant over and whispered something in her grandmother-in-law’s ear, and the monarch chuckled. Her Majesty then made a canoeing action, in friendly imitation of the kids’ performance, and laughed again. The queen has a fairly simple policy on public emotion which is to not show it, ever, and this is not because she is some unthinking adherent to the principle of the stiff upper lip, but just because it makes life simpler, and avoids people being upset

Liza Minnelli quietly selling

Liza Minnelli is lucky no one bought her Andy Warhol collection two years ago — she’ll end up much richer by selling off the paintings one by one. A source in Switzerland reports one of Minnelli’s 22 Warhols — a silk-screen of her mother Judy Garland — was just sold by Larry Gagosian for $7 million to an unnamed buyer. It was one of three portraits of Judy in Liza’s collection, which also includes four portraits of herself and three of her father Hollywood director Vincente Minnelli. I reported two years ago that Liza was asking $40 million for the entire collection, trying

An Internet search for “Father’s Day 2018” brings up a top hit: “20 Last-Minute Father’s Day Gifts That Are Amazon Prime-Eligible.” Now, like most dads, I’m not one to complain about receiving gifts (especially when they involve a good weekend of fishing), but something is wrong when popular culture understands the obligations of Father’s Day as nothing more than a 30-minute phone call and shipping your dad something Amazon’s website said were “Dad’s Favorites.” Like so many other things in our culture today, the commercialization of this holiday obscures its true meaning. Father’s Day is about so much more than store

It seems like a day doesn’t go by without some female high school teacher getting arrested for having sexual relations with an underage student. The story line is always the same. Ms. Hotpants either gets caught in the act or because her student paramour shares with the world the naked selfies that for some weird reason she just had to send to his cell phone. Invariably the teacher is quickly and unceremoniously condemned, fired from her job and arrested. This sequence of events always seemed appropriate. But, having had the benefit of reading the recent report by the Justice Department’s

The law is supposed to apply equally to all of us. But some of us seem to be more equal that others. In what appears to be a not-so-coincidental effort by the anti-Trump deep state to distract from the damning Department of Justice Inspector General’s report yesterday — shedding light on the FBI’s gross mishandling of the Clinton email investigation — New York’s attorney general dropped a headline-grabbing lawsuit against Donald Trump, his three eldest children and Trump foundation directors. The suit alleges a series of misdeeds by the Trump family in how they’ve operated its charitable foundation over the past

Nikki Haley is killing it at the United Nations

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is just about killing it at the global body. In recent remarks to the General Assembly, Haley first condemned the anti-Israel faction of the bunch for using the global body for politics, not peace promotion. And then, dramatically enough, she brought to vote a U.S.-penned measure that explicitly faulted Hamas for violence at the Gaza border — a measure that was tacked on as an amendment to an anti-Israel resolution and that actually received the thumbs-up from the majority of the voting parties. Did you get that? It actually received a majority backing. This Haley amendment

It lived an uneventful life in Earth´s oceans 500 million years ago, but now this newly discovered creature has an unusual honor: It´s been given the scientific name Obamus coronatus, a name that honors President Barack Obama´s passion for science. (Coronatus means "crowned.") The tiny, disc-shaped animal was about a 1/2 inch long, with raised spiral grooves on its surface. It spent its entire life embedded on the ocean floor, likely never moving, according to scientists from the University of California – Riverside. A second small animal, an egg-shaped critter that may have looked like a raisin, was also discovered.

Michelle Obama joined her fellow former first lady Laura Bush Monday in criticizing the hard-line Trump administration immigration policy that has led to families being separated at the border. Bush, the wife of former President George W. Bush, penned a tweet over the weekend in which she echoed the widespread condemnation of the new directive from Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “I live in a border state,” Bush said. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.” Quoting that tweet, Obama wrote that “sometimes truth transcends

Hillary Clinton weighed in Monday morning on the ongoing controversy regarding the Trump administration’s "no-tolerance” border policy, suggesting that Jesus would not condone the actions of the American border authorities. At an awards lunch for the Women’s Forum of New York, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee called out “those who selectively use the Bible” to give grounds for the separations, which were reported by the Department of Justice on Friday. “I went to a lot of years of Sunday school — even taught it from time to time. I’ve studied both the Old and New Testament, and what is being

Republican Senate candidate Mitt Romney called on the Trump administration Monday to stop separating immigrant families at the southern border, calling the controversy a “humanitarian crisis” that requires Congress to devise a permanent solution. Romney, the 2012 GOP presidential nominee, declined to blame President Trump or the Department of Homeland Security specifically in remarks to a group of voters at a park here. He called images of children separated from their parents “pretty disturbing” and “heartbreaking.” “I think immediately we should go back to the setting where we’re not ripping children away from their parents, and then we expect Congress to take

LANSING — The unprecedented outpouring of activism from students after the shooting at Marjorie Douglas Stoneman High School in Parkland, Fla., in February is the genesis for a bill introduced in the Legislature last week that would change the voting age in Michigan to 16. "We allow 16-year-olds to go off and get jobs and pay taxes, but we fail to allow them to exercise their voice come election time," said Sen. David Knezek, D-Dearborn Heights. "Young people are setting aside their differences and identifying issues they think need to change. And they can do everything to get that change

Illegal Immigration: The latest outrage by the Trump administration is its policy of "ripping" children away from parents who´ve crossed the border illegally. As with so many other things involving Trump, there´s plenty of emotion but precious little in the way of facts. The furor reached critical mass after the Department of Homeland Security said on Friday that 1,995 children had been separated from their illegal border crossing parents from mid-April through May. That number included, DHS said, cases where the adults were arrested for illegal entry, immigration violations, or possible criminal conduct. The practice has generated a rising storm of protests,

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit

The Justice Department’s tepid OIG report, with its risible assertion that there was no political bias in the FBI’s Clinton email probe, suggests that it was written by people afraid to tell the unvarnished truth about the conduct of the federal government’s police apparatus, an agency that openly defies congressional oversight and has participated in a vendetta against a sitting president. The FBI’s leadership clearly hopes that the Democrats will win majorities in Congress and put a halt to the investigations into its multifarious abuses of power. The OIG is loath to face the ruthless reprisals that would inevitably follow

FBI Director Wray has said nothing to reassure Americans that he understands the serious corruption highlighted in the IG report. The FBI´s cover-ups and stonewalling on Wray´s watch add to his credibility problems. Both in is his press conference after the IG report was released, and in his testimony Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Director Wray demonstrated he was more concerned about protecting the reputation of the institution of the FBI than about the astonishing corruption of top FBI officials detailed in the IG report. During today’s hearing we heard about FBI agents who aren’t corrupt and how the Clinton email

Melania Trump´s approval rating is down six points after she spent a month out of the public eye following her kidney procedure, a new poll revealed. A new CNN poll shows 51 percent of Americans approve of the first lady, down from 57 percent in a poll conducted last month. Her unfavorable rating is at 29 percent, up from 27 percent last month. The survey was conducted from June 14-17, one month after Melania Trump had her kidney procedure at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, which took place on May 14 and kept her out of sight for 25 days.

Starbucks shares fell as much as 3% in after-hours trading Tuesday after the coffeehouse chain provided a weak sales forecast for its upcoming quarter and said it would shutter 150 stores in fiscal 2019. The Seattle-based company said it would close underperforming stores in “densely penetrated markets” and slow its rate of store growth. Starbucks said it traditionally closes about 50 underperforming locations annually. Starbucks said it expects same-store sales to grow 1% in its third fiscal quarter of 2017. Analysts had expected same-store sales to grow 3% in that period. “While certain demand headwinds are transitory, and some of

Monday at a border patrol facility in McAllen, TX on “CBS This Morning,” co-host Gayle King said the Statue of Liberty is “weeping right now” over the separating of immigrant children from their families. King said “We arrived yesterday afternoon. We went straight to the facility, the location where kids and their parents were reunited.
