Goodbye, Netflix

After about thirteen years of being a loyal customer of Netflix, the time has come for me to say goodbye. (Snip) Given that I’m a conservative, one might be inclined to believe my choice to leave Netflix is predicated upon the company’s most recent decision to partner with Barack and Michelle Obama’s new company, called “Higher Ground Productions,” to produce loads of new content. And in a way, I guess that’s correct. But this choice by Netflix has not alone led me to this decision. Rather, this was the straw that finally broke the camel’s back -- the latest in a series of indicators that the network has become little more than a

I used to believe that television was comprised of liberal shows and conservative shows - until I observed Fox News go down the leftist drain. Media in general is now 99% liberal, even the informative nature-oriented shows that now feel the need to mention climate change every time a species is found to be declining in population. The only real choice now for truth is in books and the Internet and that isn´t always a sure bet. They have infiltrated us like the flu virus.

Obamas biggest concern during his eight-year waste of time and money was sexual perversion, for obvious reasons. How long will it be before he turns into the next LGBTQX preacher on Netflix?

Stupid Netflix decision. Obamas bad enough. He will end up being toxic. Bigly.

If you incorporate your historical facts in your head by watching tv or movies you already are a dunce. This is entertainment only and should be taken as that along with the fact that much of it is agenda driven.
God issued you a remote control, simply use it to avoid poor programing which the 0 s will be surely involved in.

Netflix,Fox as well as other TV media entertainment shows have become nothing more than an advertisement medium.
I record news programs and playback later and speed thru the advertising and can view their 1 hour show in 25 minutes. Have you noticed how many news readers on FOX are pushing their own books?
NETFLIX raised their monthly rates 30%, quality of programming decreased.
Go outside and enjoy your world, it the best show in town.

I made this same decision about Nickelodeon years ago when my kids were small. The programming itself was okay if you monitored what was watched (this was back in the Barney the Dinosaur days) but the ads were trending toward Lolita-style clothing and disrespectful child/parent interactions so I eventually used parental control and just turned it off. Hated to lose Barney, though....

Netflix tracks what is viewed and if no one watches the Obama stuff they will cease producing it. There is lots of good, non-political stuff on Netflix. Overall, it is a whole lot better than "free" TV and even better than most cable channels.

I am just trying it out---don´t know if I´ll keep it.

Otherwise, I am considering canceling Netflix. Would rather join a protest mailing or e-mailing movement, but they are probably a lost cause, having made a deal with the Devil.

We have Amazon Prime for other reasons, and do watch it occasionally----especially with out two year old grandson for "Elmo," who is his current hero.

I am sorely disappointed in Netflix. For years I got my movies, by mail. They had a wonderful library. I switched to streaming service and found 90% of the offering a crap aimed at junior high kids. I have found, now, that some titles I wanted to see again are no longer available as a DVD mailing. I´ll do some research about other sources before I pull the plug.

Netflix has become a cesspool and i bought outright the few TV series they run ggag I really liked - The West Wing, Mad Men...made it easy to cancel. Amazon Prime has great choices and channels for purchase.

In case anyone has not heard of or seen it, 12 Strong is up for rent on Amazon. Exceptional movie about special op in days right after 9/11 no one knew about. The tech they had to use was different from what is used now. Shows how long we’ve been engaged in this “war” ... great movie.

What´s it like to feel powerless? A lieutenant in the Chicago Fire Department may find out. The fireman committed the grave sin of defending himself and his property from an aggressor. Now he is the target of a social media campaign to ex post facto punish him for having the audacity to protect what is rightfully his. The boycott-Trump movement has resurged. Shannon Coulter, a brand and digital strategist, started the #GrabYourWallet hashtag in October 2016 to encourage people seeking a way to take concrete action against Donald Trump to boycott companies — large and small — that do business with his family. As a result, brands such as Nordstrom, Jet.com, and Gilt dropped Ivanka Trump´s fashion line last year. While Coulter has remained steadfast in her quest to encourage the other 62 retailers, nonprofits, and even a movie produced by Harvey Weinstein to ditch Trump products, the issue has peaked once more among consumers and

Former Fox News contributor George Will says voters must punish Republican “poodles” during the midterm elections to “quarantine” the president. An op-ed in Friday’s Washington Post by the long-time political pundit and conservative calls for voters to end the “carnage of Republican misrule” in Washington. Mr. Will claimed the “most telegenic example” of a need to oust Republicans exists with the administration’s “zero tolerance” policy regarding illegal immigrants along the U.S. southern border. “The Republican-controlled Congress, which waited for Trump to undo by unilateral decree the border folly they could have prevented by actually legislating, is an advertisement for the unimportance of

It´s come to this: according to some, people should be picking their casual dining choices based on their politics. NPR published an opinion piece by writer Monique Truong that claims in the headline that it is "hypocrisy" for administration members who support President Trump´s way of handling the long-ignored border crisis to eat at Mexican restaurants. These are people who work for the president, of course, so they are essentially being taken to task for doing their jobs. Truong considers recent forays to Mexican food dining establishments by administration policy adviser Stephen Miller and

Europe needs more mass migration from the Global South because it “enriches our cultures and societies”, according to Leo Varadkar, who announced he will import more asylum seekers to Ireland after meeting Hillary Clinton. Speaking days after a meeting with senior EU figures in Dublin, the globalist taoiseach (prime minister) committed to resettling a greater number of illegal immigrants stuck in Greece and Italy in Ireland than the batch of 4,000 already agreed. According to the Irish Independent, he said the gesture is about “solidarity and burden-sharing”, and as a way of repaying the support the European

"I am not a unicorn," said Michelle Obama. "There are millions of kids like me out there." Mrs. Obama was discussing her upcoming memoir "Becoming," before a crowd of thousands at the American Library Association conference in New Orleans Friday (June 22). True, she may have been the first African-American first lady, but Obama´s ascent from a working class background to a professional career in Chicago and eventually the White House is a path that any American should be able to aspire to, she said. Unfortunately, "in this country we´ve gotten to a point where we kind of think there are only

Mexican presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) called for mass immigration to the United States during a speech Thursday, declaring it a “human right” for all North Americans. “And soon, very soon — after the victory of our movement — we will defend all the migrants in the American continent and all the migrants in the world,” Obrador said, adding that immigrants “must leave their towns and find a life in the United States.” He then declared it as “a human right we will defend,”

General Motors Co is going ahead with its plan to manufacture the new Chevrolet Blazer SUV in Mexico, a spokesman for the automaker said, despite criticism by U.S. President Donald Trump over making vehicles abroad. Trump has been pressing automakers to build more vehicles in the United States under efforts to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). ´We remain committed to working with the administration on a modernized NAFTA,´ GM spokesman Pat Morrissey said, adding the decision was made years ago. Time magazine has issued a correction to a controversial cover story about a Honduran migrant girl who they said was taken from her mother by US border patrol agents after it was revealed that the pair were never separated at all. Three-year-old Yanela Denise became the unintentional face of the now defunct family separation crisis after photographer John Moore captured her agonized face screaming as her mother was questioned by agents on June 12. After the picture was taken, the pair were taken together to a family detention center. Yanela´s father has since told DailyMail.com that they are ´safe´. As
