The Deceiver and the Royal Wedding
American Thinker, by Lewis Dovland

As a committed Christian, I was happy to see the open presentation of the Christian faith at Saturday´s Royal Wedding. (snip) In a quick moment, Bishop Curry turned to the socialist world message of "Love." It snuck in through the side door of the church and landed on the lectern with hardly a noise. Curry later compounded his mistake by going down several rabbit trails that had nothing to do with a wedding, including a discussion of slavery. Worse were comments on Dr. King, who certainly was rolling over in his grave by that point, including quoting Dr. King´s favorite

But he did it with a smile on his face and enthusiasm, so it is being celebrated, regardless of content and motive.

This essay is wrong about everything. The love between man and woman is indeed an image of the love of God. It is. So are the other types of love. Though there are different kinds of love each is an image of the love of God. The suggestion that the love we can see and enjoy, the sensual one, is not like the love of God, is rooted in heresy. Yes.... ->>> This writer is a Manichaean. Yes he is. This writer is an Albigensian. Sorry but it had to be said. He could not have got this essay past except by calling himself a committed Christian. Ya, they all do. The heretics. Expunge his work from everywhere.

In dealing with antonyms, we all know that the opposite of "hot" is "cold" and "day" is "night," but the opposite of "love" is not "hate." The opposite of love is indifference, because as God defines love, it is an action, not a feeling. Feelings can change, but actions accomplish things. Jesus´s command to love one another means to take the action of being concerned about others, to help and pray for them and their lives, and not to be indifferent to their sufferings and trials.

But the socialist worldview and their semantical twisting of a lot of words have equated hate and love. In this way: If you want secure borders, then you don´t "love" your neighbor. If you speak out against the mass invasion of Europe by specific groups who refuse to assimilate, then you are a hater. And Curry´s argument would be, "Well, you certainly aren´t showing love to these people."

See how easy it is to mislead the masses? A peppy sermon, delivered with emotion and containing socialist buzzwords, means that Curry will be promoted as the star of the wedding by the left media.

Amen, Mr. Dovland.

A politically correct wedding ceremony for a dim bulb prince and a low-breed American actress.

Political correctness is strangling Britain as well as our own country. No one is allowed to have and joy and fun. PC is injected into everything.

Harry is a liberal who is suffering from both White Guilt and Privileged Guilt Syndromes. I am convinced that Harry picked a woman with black ancestry as his way of making atonement for British Colonialism. It was an act that rejected the History of Britain and the tradition of Royal Blood and Birth. Yet, they took full advantage of the Royal Tradition, Pomp and Ceremony and the British people fawned and celebrated in lemming-like fashion. Britain is no more.

I thought the article was spot on. As I commented at a thread yesterday, Bishop Curry is a liberal theologian who supports same sex marriage, what is deceptively called "marriage equality". The "types of love" are phileo, storge, eros, and agape. God, not man, created all of them. They don´t include eros between two men or two women, or a threesome, or any of the other confused mixtures we are seeing openly and flagrantly exhibited in our culture. Marriage is God´s idea, an earthly picture of the heavenly reality, which is why there will be no marriage in heaven. You don´t need the imitation when you have the real thing.

As for the book of Amos, liberals love to quote it, but they do not understand it. The book of Amos is a prophetic book about Israel. Liberals hate Israel, and they reject the Bible. The justice of Amos is not a social justice; it is God´s justice, which he will fulfill when Jesus returns to this earth and rules from Jerusalem, when he destroys those who mishandled the people of God. When you separate the justice of Amos from the prophecy, then you get a false justice.

Yes, the wedding was nice, and the traditional elements were beautiful. But the love that the Bishop spoke of included the many perversions we are seeing today.

Considering who was getting married, it was no surprise to have a loony bishop ruin the ceremony, but I doubt anyone noticed what the old fool did --- they were so enraptured by the racial overtones of the whole thing.

WHATever. People in NK, Cuba, and Venezuela keep suffering and dying as they live the results of old Curry´s rhetoric and beliefs. What he should have found as a joke is that this is wedding between two people who´ve been sleeping together and so it´s just a charade to make it legal. Her first marriage didn´t last long for all her self-centeredness, while Harry has dated everything that moves. She had no business wearing white. It would have been a lot classier to make it private and spare the family the wacky sermon and all the other expenses. Just because they trek to Africa for volunteering photo-ops doesn´t make them special --- it´s the least they could do. How many of us have friends in our churches who do that and far more? No press there, thankfully.

Wish them well, may it last; if royal track records are a sign, I hope he had a prenup, but PC probably kept him from it. I´m so glad it´s OVER.

I have a slightly different theory of the wedding: Harry resents the royal family and the way they treated his mother. They also prevented him from pursuing the real career he wanted in the army. He´s the increasingly irrelevant "spare." What better way to stick it to the royals than to marry a half-black actress and emphasize her black side by inviting a nutter American black bishop, a black gospel choir and a black cellist to perform at his wedding?

Why does every black speaker, no matter what the venue, feel the need to mention MLK and slavery in every speech? Don´t they have any other heroes or interests in life or is shaming white folks their one trick pony?

Just once I would like to see one of them praise the knowledge and virtues of Dr. Thomas Sowell or Dr. Ben Carson, two living examples of the best of them. If MLK had not been assassinated by a white man he would most likely have been forgotten by now.

#10, the need for blacks to not disappoint by consistently incorporating slavery and MLK into
just about everything shows they really have nothing to say.
I regret that blacks were forced to come here from their lands of birth. It was an awful thing to do. But since those original blacks are long gone and slavery has ended, the present day blacks just won´t let it go. They should be kneeling at the altar of the slaves who were forced at the mercy of their masters to do things never known to the tribes from which they came. Unbeknownst to them they were paving the way for their descendants to have better lives in a country that at one time freed them. These descendants have shown very little love and respect for their ancestors by the incessant whining and complaining about just about everything. By bring up slavery at every twist and turn to use it as a club is the ultimate form of disrespect to those ancestors. Today´s blacks are still misusing their ancestral mothers and fathers. Another form of slavery.

Many agendas going on at the wedding in addition to the bride and groom.
Oprah had a big agenda. I didn´t watch the wedding on tv, but did see the pics. I suspect Oprah wrangled an invitation thru the mother who spent 6 hours w/her filming some kind of deal for OWN, and left loaded down w/gifts. I saw pics of the mother in wedding attire, and I´d bet the farm Oprah supplied the outfit along w/the clothes the Mom wore to meet the queen.

I think the monarchy is fading away. To think that Dianna had to be examined by a gynecologist to make sure she was a virgin before her marriage to Charles. Today, anything goes.

The waiting and keeping the marriage bed sacred is important to God if not for so many couples today. Harry appears to have an emotional situation going based upon the circumstances of his mother’s untimely death. This Meghan is said to be a big time Diana groupie from the time she was a teenager. All that said and done, what it comes down to is Harry has been looking for another “Diana “to marry, he found that in Meghan. That’s evident since Harry has had at least dating relationships and most likely much more, as far as relationships go these days, with some of the most attractive well born girls in the UK. In every case Harry was rejected by them as a marriage partner. So now that Harry has his “Diana”, he and she can head off into the far depths of the Commonwealth and do good in the Diana mold for the rest of their lives.

As far as that Bishop is concerned, it did not appear that Queen Elizabeth enjoyed his lecture. He said very little about the newly weds and concentrated upon “Love” with a little US racial history thrown in for good measure. Lecturing the Queen about slavery was going nowhere, because she knows that it was the British under Prime Minister Wilberforce utilizing the Royal Navy that cut off the slave trade between West Africa and the North American colonies.

Illegal Immigration: The latest outrage by the Trump administration is its policy of "ripping" children away from parents who´ve crossed the border illegally. As with so many other things involving Trump, there´s plenty of emotion but precious little in the way of facts. The furor reached critical mass after the Department of Homeland Security said on Friday that 1,995 children had been separated from their illegal border crossing parents from mid-April through May. That number included, DHS said, cases where the adults were arrested for illegal entry, immigration violations, or possible criminal conduct. The practice has generated a rising storm of protests,

Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the daughter character "Darlene," which would exclude Roseanne. Unfortunately, Roseanne Barr owns a chunk of the show, and ABC doesn´t want to be seen letting Barr profit from it, so ABC is in talks to buy the show from Barr so she would not technically profit

The Justice Department’s tepid OIG report, with its risible assertion that there was no political bias in the FBI’s Clinton email probe, suggests that it was written by people afraid to tell the unvarnished truth about the conduct of the federal government’s police apparatus, an agency that openly defies congressional oversight and has participated in a vendetta against a sitting president. The FBI’s leadership clearly hopes that the Democrats will win majorities in Congress and put a halt to the investigations into its multifarious abuses of power. The OIG is loath to face the ruthless reprisals that would inevitably follow

FBI Director Wray has said nothing to reassure Americans that he understands the serious corruption highlighted in the IG report. The FBI´s cover-ups and stonewalling on Wray´s watch add to his credibility problems. Both in is his press conference after the IG report was released, and in his testimony Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Director Wray demonstrated he was more concerned about protecting the reputation of the institution of the FBI than about the astonishing corruption of top FBI officials detailed in the IG report. During today’s hearing we heard about FBI agents who aren’t corrupt and how the Clinton email

Monday at a border patrol facility in McAllen, TX on “CBS This Morning,” co-host Gayle King said the Statue of Liberty is “weeping right now” over the separating of immigrant children from their families. King said “We arrived yesterday afternoon. We went straight to the facility, the location where kids and their parents were reunited. All I can say after talking to the people, watching the people, listening to the people, that the Statue of Liberty I think is weeping right now. It’s unbelievable the stories we’ve heard.” She added, “We’re standing in front of a converted warehouse. This is

Fired FBI Director James Comey refused to appear before Congress on Monday to talk about his handling of the Clinton email investigation, and his fired deputy, Andrew McCabe, asserted his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch also declined to show up for a major hearing where the Senate Judiciary Committee was looking into the inspector general’s report detailing major bungles in Mr. Comey’s handling of the Clinton investigation. Mr. Comey’s lawyer said he was out of the country — though Sen. Charles E. Grassley, committee chairman, said he saw Mr. Comey
