Nafta Deadline Arrives With
Little Prospect for an Agreement

Bloomberg Politics, by Josh Wingrove, Jenny Leonard*

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 5/17/2018 5:30:56 AM

House Speaker Paul Ryan warned a new Nafta deal had to be completed by Thursday, but Donald Trump’s trade chief told lawmakers he expects that deadline will not be met. Citing American trade law, Ryan had said May 17 was the last day to receive notice of intent to sign a deal for a new North American Free Trade Agreement that could be passed by the current Congress (Snip) Trade talks normally take years. The existing deal remains in force and negotiations will continue, but the window to pass it in the current Congress is about to close as U.S. attention shifts to other challenges, like the simmering trade dispute with China.

Congress continues to kick the can down the road, thereby eroding President Trump´s ability to restructure our trade more favorable to US.

Article is trying to shape the establishments position that it is too late by heavily weighting the voices to imply that undertone as such. This attempt at boxing in Trump can easily be thwarted by giving the six month notice that we are pulling out of NAFTA. Boom, I am sure something will get negotiated and agreed upon then. So the real question is are there enough patriots in Congress to pass the right agreement? What we can do is keep working hard in our local communities to make sure we elect people to support MAGA.

Maybe we don´t need an agreement, especially a bad agreement. The failures of the Mexican government are becoming stark without the NAFTA subsidy.

So in other words this is 100% fake news. There is no actual deadline. Would be better to wait for a Republican lead Congress.

North Korea’s nuke site closure

Tokyo - Foreign journalists will be allowed to journey deep into the mountains of North Korea this week to observe the closing of the country’s Punggye-ri nuclear test site in a much-touted display of goodwill before leader Kim Jong Un’s planned summit with President Donald Trump next month. Expect good imagery, but not much else. The public display of the closure of the facility on Mount Mantap will likely be heavy on spectacle and light on substance. And the media will be spending much of their time in an unrelated tourism zone that North Korea hopes will be the next big thing for its economy if Kim’s

Here´s why it matters that Americans are

Americans and Europeans are abandoning parenthood at an alarming rate, profoundly changing the nature of our societies, our politics and our cultures. Last year, women in the U.S. had children at the lowest rate ever recorded. There were just 60.2 births for every 1,000 girls and women ages 15 to 44 in our country. As a result, there were fewer births in America last year – 3.85 million babies – than at any time since 1987. This was a 2 percent drop from 2016. In addition, those having the most children are least able to pay for their upbringing. American women became mothers last year at rates that were inversely proportional to

Several Jewish parents expressed outrage over the weekend after children at a New York City school were instructed to observe a moment of silence for the dozens of Palestinians killed during clashes along the Gaza border. The announcement of the Tuesday tribute at Beacon High School in Hell’s Kitchen was made by a student over the school’s PA system. It was not clear whether the decision had been approved by the school principal. The New York Post, which reported the story, said it was not able to reach principal Ruth Lacey for comment. Parents said they didn’t understand why the school chose to suddenly take a stance on the
