Iran signs agreement with
British consortium to develop oil

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 5/17/2018 4:34:34 AM

Iranian state TV is reporting that Tehran has signed an agreement with a British consortium to develop an oil field in the country´s south. The agreement is the first between Iran and a key Western ally of the United States since Washington last week announced it will pull out of the landmark 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and Western powers. Managing Director of Pergas International Consortium Colin Rowley, and Bijan Alipour, managing director of National Iranian South Oil Co., signed a preliminary deed on the partnership in the presence of British Ambassador Rob Macaire in Tehran on Wednesday night.

Comments:
Et tu, UK?

If true, this is really going to test President Trump and his State Department on our resolve to punish Iran, like North Korea to give up its nuclear and missile weapons programs. We have the oil to sell to them, so this doesn´t make sense unless it´s about jobs to them.

This article offers less than more on the deal.

1. It´s not a deal that just jumped out of a paper sack. These agreements evolve out of lengthy negotiations that were most likely within the confines of previous sanctions on Iran.
2. The signatures were on a "Preliminary Deed" which likely spells out a starting point leaving the doors open for a final contract if a new and sane nuclear deal with Western Allies is cut.
3. Iranian State TV is blowing smoke that they are hoping will drift into the negotiations and contaminate any future nuclear deal that the US accepts.
4. Though the British Ambassador was present, this is not an agreement between "A Key Western Ally," the UK, and Iran but with a private Consortium and the Iranian government oil company.

It´s a long way from this signature to dropping a drill bit in the ground.

Let´s be honest - the UK has had pretty poor judgement throughout their history. They didn´t think Americans could achieve independence, Churchill had to pull them back from the cliff when they were not worried about Hitler. Currently they have allowed their country to be over-run with muslim immigration. And all they seem to care about is a royal wedding.

Mueller Goes to Israel

News that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has sent his gumshoes to Israel certainly does bring this matter full circle. The report is that they are looking into the activities of what the Jewish Telegraphic Agency news wire characterizes as “an Israeli-run social media firm that may have led a social media manipulation effort to help Donald Trump get elected.” Good luck to Mr. Mueller, is our sentiment. And, say, while he’s at it, maybe he can look into what the President Obama and his political operatives were doing in respect of the Israeli election of 2015. Remember that one? As President Clinton did in 1996, Mr. Obama threw everything

San Francisco - Democrats will not attend a meeting to learn about an FBI informant said to have gathered intelligence on the Trump presidential campaign, the White House said. (Snip) The members of Congress expected to attend are Rep Trey Gowdy, a South Carolina Republican who leads the House Oversight Committee, and Rep Devin Nunes, a California Republican and key Trump ally who has delved into allegations of FBI misconduct from his perch leading the House Intelligence Committee. Asked why Democrats would not be present, Ms Sanders told reporters “they haven’t been the ones requesting this information”.

Alphabet ‘smart’ diaper notion

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, has filed for a patent via its Verily division that will tell parents, by way of technology, when their diapered babies have gone to the bathroom. This is a solid example of When Technology Goes Overboard. The world of parenting already has a notification procedure to alert when babies have gone poop. It’s called — crying. And on that, babies are generally pretty good at it. They cry when they’re wet; they cry when their diapers are soiled; they cry when they can’t sleep because their little bottoms have turned cold and uncomfortable from dried urine. As for the hard of hearing?

Giant predatory worms from tropical parts of Asia that have stealthily invaded French gardens pose a threat to local wildlife, scientists are warning. The voracious creatures have infiltrated gardens across the country and also French territories. A new study has collected reports of the unusual creatures, which are known to grow up to 40cm in length. Despite their size, these unusual creatures would have gone completely unnoticed were it not for the efforts of amateur naturalist Pierre Gros who took a photograph of an unidentified worm in 2013. “This photograph was sent from email to email to email and finally it came to me,”

A Republican lawmaker on Monday proposed a measure that would imprison government officials up to five years for obstructing the enforcement of federal laws. The Mayor Libby Schaaf Act was introduced by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, and named after the Oakland mayor who earlier this year tipped off residents of an incoming crackdown on illegal immigrants by federal authorities. “I want lawless, sanctuary city politicians to hear this message clearly: if you obstruct ICE, you are going to end up in the cooler,” King said in a statement. “It shall be unlawful for any officer, employee, or agent of a State or political subdivision thereof

Restoration time uncertain,” the alert read in all capital letters and red lettering. Terminus is the name of the city in the popular television show The Walking Dead.
