Suspect Identified in C.I.A. Leak Was
Charged, but Not for the Breach

New York Times, by Scott Shane and Adam Goldman

In weekly online posts last year, WikiLeaks released a stolen archive of secret documents about the Central Intelligence Agency’s hacking operations, including software exploits designed to take over iPhones and turn smart television sets into surveillance devices. It was the largest loss of classified documents in the agency’s history and a huge embarrassment for C.I.A. officials. Now, The New York Times has learned the identity of the prime suspect in the breach: a 29-year-old former C.I.A. software engineer who had designed malware used to break into the computers of terrorism suspects and other targets. F.B.I. agents searched the Manhattan apartment of the suspect,

So he ran a server that many people used and someone put the offending material on it and they can´t pin that on him?! Weak case.
And the case that he was the CIA leak appears to be even weaker. Next thing you know he will be arrested for a short video that pokes fun at Mohamed.

Go to the article and follow the link to his story. He describes his arrest and pretrial detention.

Something he notes:
DA´s use pretrial detention to force a plea deal. Most people will agree to anything after a few days.

I´m starting to think that most DA´s arepsychopaths.

FBI head proves Washington has

As FBI director Christopher Wray started giving his response to the blistering report on the Hillary Clinton investigation, I hoped he would accept the findings as proof the agency lost its way and must be shaken to its foundation. By the time he finished talking, I felt naive for daring to hope. Wray’s performance was worse than disappointing. It was infuriating proof that it will take more than one election to change the corrupt culture of Washington. Wray replaced the ousted James Comey, whose conduct in the Clinton probe was shredded by Inspector General Michael Horowitz. Investigators demonstrated with new details that the

Rudy Giuliani’s role in the Trump defense against the Mueller onslaught is part lawyer, and a bigger part public perception shaping.About a month ago I wondered what Rudy was thinking when he suggested Trump should have a sit-down interview with Mueller, Rudy’s terrible, horrible, no good idea about Trump sitting for a Mueller interview to speed things up: In my January 24, 2018 post I explained why, Trump should not voluntarily submit to an interview with Mueller …. This is such a no-brainer, I’m really worried Rudy Giuliani, who is Trump’s new key legal advisor, will screw it up. At least as reported, it appears that Rudy

MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace is under fire for making a derogatory comment Thursday about first lady Melania Trump and first daughter Ivanka, asking if they are “dead inside” or simply being “paid off.” On her show "Deadline: White House" Wallace pondered how women close to the president cope with the ongoing allegations surrounding adult film star Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had a consensual sexual encounter with Trump over a decade ago (Trump denies the allegation).“Are they just the most stoic human beings, are they numb, are they dead inside, are they paid off, I mean, what’s their deal?” Wallace

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is now attorney to President Trump, has been an outspoken critic of Robert Mueller since joining the president´s counsel. That criticism got new wings when reports suggested last week the FBI had an informant working in the Trump campaign. In light of the new information, Trump and Giuliani have spoken out against what they term "spygate." Although the supposed breach of privacy occurred before Mueller was appointed special counsel, the scandal "taints" the whole Russia investigation, according to Giuliani.

Throughout much of last year, millions of American women resented that a man who’d bragged about sexually assaulting women had been elected president. Then came an electrifying moment — detailed allegations that another powerful man had sexually assaulted or harassed dozens of women as one of Hollywood’s leading producers. “It just explodes. It was like throwing a match into a bucket of kerosene,” said Kathy Spillar, executive director of the Feminist Majority Foundation, describing the reaction to accusations against Harvey Weinstein that helped launch the #MeToo movement. So she moved several portraits of prominent white doctors in order to be more diverse and inclusive. Problem solved? Phil Mickelson´s 48th birthday took a stunning turn at the US Open on Saturday when he stopped a putt from rolling off the 13th green. Clearly at the end of his tether after a shocking run of bogeys in his third round, the much-decorated American embarrassed himself when another putt rolled past the hole. The floats at the Boise Pride Festival have changed drastically over nearly three decades. Dallas Chase knows this well. Chase, 71, attended the first festival in Boise, an informal gathering in 1989. She was part of the team that built the first "float." It consisted of a borrowed wagon from her neighbor decorated with painted cardboard. "It was done in secret in my garage," Chase said. In those days, Chase said festivalgoers wore masks to avoid having their identities revealed. What do you do with an FBI agent, sworn to uphold the law, who flagrantly violates the law in a rogue investigation aimed at making a name for himself by bringing down some high-profile targets? Why . . . you promote him, of course. At least that is the way the Justice Department answered that question in the case of David Chaves, an FBI agent who serially and lawlessly leaked grand-jury information, wiretap evidence, and other sensitive investigative intelligence to the media in his quest to make an insider-trading case against some celebrities.
