Orrin Hatch warns Trump: Firing
Mueller could bring impeachment

Washington Examiner, by Katelyn Caralle

Original Article

Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, warned President Trump firing special counsel Robert Mueller could lead to impeachment, becoming one of the first congressional Republicans to mention impeachment directly. “Firing Mr. Mueller would be a grave error. It would trigger a crisis, possibly even impeachment,” Hatch said in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece published Tuesday night. “It would threaten many of the administration’s accomplishments and make continued progress virtually impossible.” In his op-ed, Hatch endorsed the proposed legislation aimed at protect Mueller from being fired by Trump, or, for that matter, any president from firing a counsel appointed to investigating potential presidential misconduct.

Oh shut up already. I´m so sick of the constant bleating from the RINOs warning Trump about firing Mueller. I think he has gotten the message by now!

I believe the legislation proposed to protect Mueller from firing has been found to be unconstitutional.

Why are so many Republicans concerned that the President might fire Mueller? Has he indicated in any way that he might? No, just the opposite. He´s said time and time again he will not fire him. So many of those in Congress are so concerned about what might happen, however improbable, rather than dealing with what is happening?

Trust but verify?

Protect but limit, IMO.

The discussion now should be on the limiting of future counsels to the intended target--but how to do that without opening a can of worms for devious (is their any other kind, and if there were who would want to use them?)lawyers to exploit?

These ignoramuses can´t even figure out that at this point the best thing that can happen is to let Mueller just keep going.

There was NO collusion. And now the idiots that started the investigation are themselves in danger of being brought up on charges. Can´t these wizards of smart see thru Trumps rising approval ratings, that the public is finally dismissing the endless propaganda.

If they had a brain they would be taunting Herr Mueller daily, "Well, Mr. Prosecutor, where´s the collusion charges?".

Trump is still running rings around the lot of them and they are so absolutely dumb they can´t even figure that fact out.

Amazing! RHINO Hatch is more worried about Trump firing Mueller than he is that Mueller is conducting a political witch hunt. If Hatch had a brain cell, he would be complaining about the makeup of Mueller´s team and not threatening the president if he acts fully within his power. Scum, just like the rest of the senate RHINOs.

I agree with OP.

The only people talking about firing Mueller are the people talking about how POTUS must not fire Mueller.

However, the Soecial Counsel activities have gone berserk, and as i´ve said before, are too much reminiscent of the Soviet "justice" system whose function was to control, oppress and ultimately destroy the subject under investigation.

It´s hard to see how Mueller can be fair or just simply on the basis of the extreme partisanship of the lawyers on his team.

What ought to be investigated is the on-going attempt to overthrow the Trump Administration.

The alternative to firing Mueller is shutting down the investigation. Considering the investigation is nothing more than a politically motivated witch hunt, it should be shutdown.

By now, Trump knows there are people gunning for him. Hatch might be one of them.

Boring Orrin just wanted to try and use some political muscle to leverage support for his RINO boy Mitt-the-Twit who failed to win the first round in Utah for the nomination. Having dealt with the Romney crowd before they will use every dirty trick they can find to circumvent the will of the grassroots GOP in Utah who, like the rest of the country, clearly want someone else.

As for firing Mueller all these supposed Representatives of the people apparently could care less that the majority of the people they purportedly represent want Mueller fired and are tired of seeing our tax dollars wasted. Put the existing body of evidence against the Clinton foundation and uranium one participants and FBI acts of treason up against what you have on Trump and associates and let the people decide who should be fired, who should be pursued and where we want our tax dollars spent.....

The senate only passed one bill since Trump has been in office, the house passed 838. The senate voted to repeal Obamacare 7 times before Trump, Zero when he was elected. The senate has 550 nominees to confirm. Grassley should be more concerned with the people instead of protecting Mueller. Schumer is running the senate, McConnell is asleep. McConnell should be making them work 7 days a week instead of 3. Trump’s ratings are higher than congress & the media combined.

Secret FBI source for Russia investigation met

Washington Post, by Robert Costa*    Original Article

In mid-July 2016, a retired American professor approached an adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign at a symposium about the White House race held at a British university. The professor took the opportunity to strike up a conversation with Carter Page, whom Trump had named a few months earlier as a foreign policy adviser. But the professor was more than an academic interested in American politics — he was a longtime U.S. intelligence source. And, at some point in 2016, he began working as a secret informant for the FBI as it investigated Russia’s interference in the campaign, according to people familiar

U.S. law enforcement and intelligence officials have leaked extremely sensitive information about a top secret source three times in the last week while claiming that confidentially sharing information about the source with congressional investigators could greatly impact U.S. national security and potentially risk the source’s life. The officials have leaked specific information that could directly identify the source on three separate occasions to reporters at the Washington Post and New York Times. This raises even more questions about whether current top intelligence and law enforcement officials can be trusted to obey the law and to
