Sessions told White House that Rosenstein’s
firing could prompt his departure, too

Washington Post, by Sari Horwitz*

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 4/20/2018 8:00:53 PM

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recently told the White House he might have to leave his job if President Trump fired his deputy, Rod J. Rosenstein, who oversees the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the exchange. Sessions made his position known in a phone call to White House counsel Donald McGahn last weekend, as Trump’s fury at Rosenstein peaked after the deputy attorney general approved the FBI’s raid April 9 on the president’s personal attorney Michael Cohen. Sessions’s message to the White House, which has not previously been reported, underscores the political firestorm

Comments:
What is with this loyalty to Rosenstein? Of course with WaPO you have to wonder how accurate this is. If Sessions did resign, or was fired, it would be a nightmare getting someone else confirmed at this point in time. Just look at what those filthy Democrats are doing to Pompeo. The link below is an article I posted about a month ago that shows Sessions´ connection to Rosenstein is related to a lawyer from University of Alabama. I don´t know what to believe half the time.

Use logic: There are only two ways the WaPo finds out details of a private phone conversation between the Attorney General and White House Counsel.

First, one of the parties purposely talks about this salaciously newsworthy but fictitious incident with a number of suspected leakers. Each potential leaker gets a slightly different version of the story. Now they know who the leaker is.

Second, the fictitious story is purposely fed to the fake news press in order to continue to throw the bad guys off what´s really going on behind the scenes. The hammer is being prepped to come down hard, but they´re all busy congratulating themselves over fake news.

He is telling the WH??? What gumption? After all, Rosenschwein is running everything and has Sessions on a leash! Does that mean without Rosenschwein Sessions won´t be able to find his way around the DOJ??

Normally, if your boss is fired you hope to get his/her job. Which shows how strange Sessions is: he’s threatening to quit if his boss, Rosenstein, is fired for cause. Cause Rod signed a perjurious FISA warrant to spy on PDT using the Hillary paid for dossier.

Truly odd is that either Sessions was never interested in finding why Rosenstein signed at least one of the false FISA warrants before he recused himself 13 months ago or he didn’t care.

The two most important cabinet posts, the Attorney General and the Secretary of State vacant at the same time? Hmmm? Does this sound like a win-win? I do not think that is a good idea. We need Pompeo and then Sessions can go. And, it seems obvious to me, Sessions is going, sooner or later. Korea thing is playing mighty behind the curtains, hinting something big and good for the Trump Administration is about to happen. If it does, the whole dynamic will change. What if Sessions suddenly did something good, like indict Comey or McCabe or fired Rosenstein? What if all this unsubstantiated stuff is merely a smoke screen?

I sure do not put any stock in some claims by a breathless Wapo Sari Horwitz.

Perhaps poster #8 is on to it. His or her remarks deserve a second look.

I don´t think it would be a good thing to let Sessions go at this point. As an earlier poster said, it would be almost impossible to have a replacement confirmed right now. And the momentum seems to be shifting in our direction at long last. Dismissing Sessions wold only give the Democrat/Media Complex another red herring issue to spin to their advantage.

Sessions is such a wimp. The fact that he got a strong confirmation vote makes me think they had blackmail material on him in advance. He only recused himself from the Russia investigation but Mueller is ranging far beyond that under Rosensteins "supervision" which Sessions can and should end right away. Manafort´s lawyers made this case! As long as we believe these fables they can continue this dog and pony show and do nothing to stop the coup against Trump. The electorate has spoken and Trump is president and so what is the excuse of the day for not implementing his policy? Is this Obama´s third term or not Sessions? Don´t give me any foolishness about the president "obstructing Justice" The DOJ is part of the executive branch of government and that is the end of it. Mueller has more control and gets away with gross violations of law while the elected leader can´t use Russian dressing on his salad without talk of impeachment. This is nuts!

WASHINGTON — Since Donald J. Trump began dominating American politics more than two years ago, Democrats concerned about his policies and behavior have taken solace in a group of influential Republicans who have consistently assailed the president as anathema to the values of their party, and the country more broadly. In the past year, however, influential liberal donors and operatives have gone from cheering these so-called Never Trump Republicans to quietly working with — and even funding — them. Through invitation-only emails and private, off-the-record meetings, they have formed a loose network of cross-partisan alliances aimed at helping neutralize President Trump,

Two more House Republicans have joined the discharge petition to force votes on immigration, potentially leaving centrists just two signatures short of success. Reps. Dr. Windell Davis Boutte uploaded over 20 clips of herself prancing around next to patients while singing along to hip-hop tunes. She even sliced someone open for the camera as “Cut It” by O.T. Genasis blared out in the background. Icilma Cornelius suffered heart failure after being pushed into having a pre-wedding tummy tuck at Boutte’s clinic in Lilburn, Georgia, in February 2016, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The 55-year-old’s heart stopped

NFL club owners are considering potential 15-yard penalties for kneeling during the national anthem among ways of coping with a backlash over player protests, Sports Illustrated reported Tuesday. According to a story on the magazine´s website, owners set aside three hours to talk about the anthem issue, which President Donald Trump elevated into a major controversy last year. Ideas to handle players kneeling during the anthem included allowing home teams to decide if players should be out of the locker room during the pre-game playing of The Star-Spangled Banner or not.If players are on the sideline, then 15-yard

President Trump cannot block people from his @realDonaldTrump account just because he doesn’t like their political views, a Manhattan federal judge ruled on Wednesday. Doing so violates their First Amendment right to free speech because Twitter is a “public forum,” Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald wrote in a landmark ruling that could change how public officials use Twitter. “We reject the defendants’ contentions that the First Amendment does not apply in this case and that the President’s personal First Amendment interests supersede those of plaintiffs,” the judge wrote in her 75-page ?decision. The judge stopped short,

The Boy Scouts will reportedly provide condoms at the upcoming World Scout Jamboree. The World Organization of Scouting Movement handbook requires the host organization to “ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and [International Service Team staff] at a number of locations on the site.” The 2019 World Scout Jamboree will be held in West Virginia from July 21 to Aug. 1. The theme is “Unlock a New World.” The World Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement event. The Boy Scouts are co-hosting this year’s program with two other scouting organizations, Scouts

The NFL Players’ Association (NFLPA) on Wednesday criticized the league for its new national anthem policy. In a statement, the union said it would review the new policy and “challenge any aspect of it that is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement.” The union accused the league of contradicting its previous statements, and of ignoring players’ wishes in developing the new policy, which instructs that all team and league personnel should stand for the national anthem. “The NFL chose to not consult the union in the development of this new ‘policy,’” the union said in a statement. “NFL players have

The Democratic Party has no leader right now. No one. Former President Barack Obama is palling around with his billionaire, island-owning buddies. Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders is kicking back in one of his three houses (we’re guessing the big one on Lake Champlain). And the 20-some 2020 presidential wannabes are all jockeying for media attention (and cash, lots of cash). In such a void, that leaves just one person with the spotlight: the bitter, ever-angry, petty, vindictive Hillary Clinton. Mrs. Clinton told the Democratic Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday that she would be a foundational part of the anti-Trump

Democrat Rep. Al Green (D-TX) had harsh words for President Trump late Tuesday, warning that if Democrats retake the House of Representatives in November, they´ll begin the 2019 legislative session with articles of impeachment, even if Trump hasn´t done anything to require it. Speaking to C-Span, Rep. Green suggested that he has the "right and privilege" to impeach the president, even absent evidence that the president has committed "high crimes" or "misdemeanors" by virtue of the U.S. Constitution. "There’s a good likelihood there will be articles of impeachment” brought against the President, Rep. Green said.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said Wednesday that if you don’t understand how the FBI hurt Hillary Clinton and not Donald Trump in the 2016 election, you’re “too stupid to handle household appliances.” WATCH: (Video) “Everything the FBI did in the home stretch was to Donald Trump’s benefit and Hillary Clinton’s detriment. Clinton’s detriment, including McCabe’s leak,” Scarborough said.) He continued, “Now, for somebody not to understand that, I mean, seriously, suggests only one thing — and that is, they are either intentionally lying or they are too stupid to handle household appliances.” Trump went on a tweet storm Wednesday over the
