CIA director Mike Pompeo forged a "good relationship" with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un when they met last week, US President Donald Trump has tweeted. Confirming media reports of the secret meeting in Pyongyang, Mr Trump said it had gone "very smoothly". The surprise visit marks the highest-level contact between the United States and North Korea since 2000. Mr Trump is expected to hold a summit with Mr Kim by June. Details are being worked out, the US president said. South Korea has also signalled that it may pursue a formal resolution of the longstanding conflict on the peninsula. President Moon Jae-in

Every single move President Trump has made on the international stage has made BarackHussein look more and more like the incompetent, anti-American, ill-intentioned boob we´ve all known he always was. The Enemedia´s volcanic resentment over this obvious out-classing of their god-man is going to reach lethally dangerous levels soon...

Democrats are lining up to vote against Pompeo´s nomination for State, because ´Trump doesn´t believe in diplomacy.´

The FBI attorney who exchanged anti-Trump text messages with another bureau official resigned on Friday, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned. The FBI confirmed that the lawyer, Lisa Page, tendered her resignation. Page has faced months of scrutiny over the text messages, which she exchanged with Peter Strzok, the former deputy chief of the FBI’s counterintelligence division. The exchanges show a deep hostility to President Donald Trump at a time when the two officials were working on the FBI’s investigation into possible Trump campaign collusion with the Russian government. Some of the texts show Strzok and

Adult film star Stormy Daniels has filed a defamation suit against President Donald Trump for a tweet that said a forensic sketch of a man who allegedly threatened her in 2011 was "a total con job." Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, claims she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 and was warned by an unidentified man to keep quiet about it five years later, after she gave an interview to a gossip magazine. Earlier this month, Clifford worked with a forensic artist to create a sketch of the man she says accosted her in a Las

Former FBI Director James Comey wrote in his recently released memoir that appointing a special counsel to handle the Hillary Clinton email probe due to concerns over Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s impartiality “would have been unfair to Hillary Clinton.” Comey, however, had no problem taking actions to ensure a special prosecutor in the case of Donald Trump and unsubstantiated claims of Russian collusion based in part on charges made inside a largely-discredited dossier financed by Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee last June, Comey said he shared memos memorializing

Media watchdog Reporters Without Borders says hostility toward journalists is growing worldwide, often encouraged by political leaders — even in democratic countries. The group´s annual global index of media freedom released Wednesday found an overall rise in animosity toward reporters and a drop in freedoms, notably in former Soviet states but also in countries from the U.S. to the Philippines. The group says many democratically elected leaders "no longer see the media as part of democracy´s essential underpinning," singling out U.S. President Donald Trump for his media-bashing. It also notes the recent killings of reporters in EU members Slovakia and Malta. The watchdog

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch announced today that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. State Department to obtain records about the Obama administration´s role in facilitating Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak´s attendance at the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC). Then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), now the U.S. attorney general, reportedly spoke with Kislyak at that convention, an encounter that compelled him to recuse himself from the investigation of alleged Russia-Trump collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign. “Judicial Watch is trying to figure out the Obama administration’s role in getting the Russian Ambassador to the RNC convention,”

If there is an overarching theme for BreakPoint—starting with Chuck Colson and now with Eric and me—it’s culture. Specifically, how Christians can understand it, engage it, confront it, even restore it—through the clarity of a Christian worldview. As Brett Kunkle and I explain in our book, “A Practical Guide to Culture,” what we mean by culture is not some mysterious thing cloistered in art museums. The forthcoming final memoir from Senator John McCain, titled The Restless Wave, and a nearly two-hour-long HBO documentary on its way seem to be being used as an opportunity to settle some scores. Jonathan Martin of the New York Times has obtained copies of both books, and has spoken with the ailing senator at his ranch, where he seems to be spending his final days. Arizona Senator and 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain is reportedly making preparations for his own funeral, with requests that former presidents George Walker Bush and Barack Obama attend the ceremony and eulogize him. McCain, 81, was diagnosed last July with primary glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. The tumor was discovered during a routine physical the senator underwent in early July. After complaining of fatigue and double vision, McCain was given a CT scan, which revealed a clot just below his left eyebrow. While some patients can, with aggressive treatment live, as long as 5 to 10 years,

When does a gross indiscretion, aimed at undermining President Trump through private negotiations with a sworn enemy of America, become something bigger? Former Secretary of State John Kerry, deep into his months-long “shadow diplomacy” with Iran, is testing the point. Truth is, the antiquated Logan Act – which bars exactly that sort of extra-legal, unofficial and patently officious and offensive behavior – has never been enforced, although referenced as late as 1991 by the Supreme Court. That does not make Kerry’s behavior acceptable, patriotic or defensible. In fact, at a time when everyone from President Trump to America’s national security

Washington - It’s not as simple as just saying “we’re out” of the Iran nuclear deal.If President Donald Trump follows through on his threat to pull the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal on May 12, the rest of the world will be thrust into uncharted territory, forced to navigate a complex web of U.S. sanctions that were lifted under the landmark accord but would ostensibly be put back in place. Would Trump re-impose sanctions on those who do business with Iran? How quickly? And what happens to Iran’s pre-existing obligations to allow nuclear inspections? “It’s going to be very complicated,” said Ama Adams,
