Michael Cohen and the End Stage
of the Trump Presidency

The New Yorker, by Adam Davidson

Original Article

Posted By:cThree, 4/18/2018 7:49:43 AM

On May 1, 2003, the day President George W. Bush landed on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln in front of the massive “Mission Accomplished” sign, I was in Baghdad performing what had become a daily ritual. (Snip) This is the week we know, with increasing certainty, that we are entering the last phase of the Trump Presidency. This doesn’t feel like a prophecy; it feels like a simple statement of the apparent truth. I know dozens of reporters and other investigators who have studied Donald Trump... (Snip) I am unaware of anybody who has taken a serious look at Trump’s business

Comments:
"...who doesn’t believe that there is a high likelihood of rampant criminality." This is a rambling, self-indulgent hallucination by a New Yorker staff writer. The dateline is April 14, but it´s the referent article for a Slate article posted nearby. We are now in the end stages of the Trump Presidency, he writes. He and the dozens of Pauline Kael wannabes he knows are in the end stages of something, surely. Just not this presidency.

The accusations against Trump are all the same: generalizations never specifics.

Can any man say on what day, time, and what matter Trump illegally conspired with the Russians to subvert the election?

When you ask that question you get a load of baloney.

Author is a complete ass, writing from his protected perch in New York environs. Mission accomplished! Mission accomplished! How tired! There are ton´s of missions, large and small, and the non military types have had this explained to them over and over again, and still they persist. It´s not because they are that stupid, though they are, it´s that they have a particular point of view that they maintain in spite of evidence to the contrary. And, they are useless people. At the first sign of real trouble, they head for the hills. Bumped into this one in Iraq, a real ass, with an agenda. Perhaps he´ll get into a taxi accident before the day is over.

These Trump haters are really mentally stuck. They were so invested in the Obama leftist America Hating drivel they can never get back to normalcy. Their entire remaining lives will be spent in this quest for global unitarian utopia. It is never going to happen and they will be utterly consumed by their fantasy. They are very much like 13 year old children trying to come to grips with their new "There is No Santa" reality.

The big lie of the Bush presidency resurfaces in a left wing rant by a lying journolister.

The “Mission Accomplished” sign had nothing to do with Bush or the Iraq war. It was put up by the sailors on that carrier as a celebration of their return home after their own successful mission.

DJT´s business deals have been thoroughly torn apart by the IRS for decades. You might not like him. You might not like the way some of his business deals went down, but I´d bet he was smart enough to follow the law. After all, he´s not a Kennedy or a Clinton. How are their family names holding up as the truth about them comes out?

I USED to subscribe to The New Yorker. But then I also used to subscribe to New York Magazine, Time Magazine, Newsweek, Vanity Fair (until the good gossipy articles were so far outnumbered by anti Bush or Trump screeds that I gave up---remember, Michael Wolff was their regular columnist for years) and even People Mag---until the bias just got so extreme I stopped. Which is why most of these magazines are either shadows of their former selves or 6 pages long. I wonder how the "news" mags even do online? (I also used to subscribe to the NY Times, by the way. Now it is simply The Wall Street Journal for me.)

To Adam Davidson:
Perhaps you did not get the memo to stop predicting the end of the Trump presidency.
I realize that with all the protests and Trump-hating going on... it may have gotten lost on your desk.

By coincidence there is an article by left-leaning Slate.com written by your liberal buddy, Jim Newell.

BTW...the article can also be found on Lucianne.com, but you probably don´t look at this site.

Now Donald Trump is responsible for the failure of the Iraqi people to step up and save their own country after years of crying about how cruel Saddam was. If GWB made one mistake, it was in thinking that the Iraqi people would act like Americans would have.

Out of curiosity, where was Donald Trump on December 7, 1941? Surely he must have given the Japanese inside information.

The raid on Michael Cohen is not a second stage of anything, it was an illegal attack by a rogue FBI clown.

Another way of looking at the author´s thinking is that federal law is so complex and extensible that anyone can be charged with criminality if you work at it hard enough, and the anti-Trumpers and Mueller are certain keep working at it until they succeed.

In other words, just like you can pick apart Trump´s business dealings and find criminality, you can also pick apart the Mueller investigation and find criminality. In the Nixon case, Republicans finally came to the grudging conclusion that Nixon had broke the law and could not be supported for mere political reasons. That won´t happen in this case. If the deep-state Mueller machinations succeed Trump´s supporters will see it as a raw power move with no legitimacy. The people trying to remove Trump at any cost may regret the final price tag.

The big problem in my mind is that 2/3 of our Republican Senators are supportive of this get Trump effort.

Just because the DOJ/FBI now claim the they had Cohen under a criminal investigation since Trump announced for President does not mean that the predication they used to launch that investigation was legitimate, and was not generated politically by the Democrats or is otherwise bogus, just as a lot of other things that have come out since, thus rendering the material they seized from Cohen inadmissible in court.

This article contains a lot of liberal Democrat based political wishful thinking by claiming that a good part of Trump’s entire family is headed for prison, without any evidence being released so-far that the Trump Family has done anything wrong. Clearly to the liberal Democrats, just about all business deals concluded by non liberal Democrats should be subject to being investigated and dealt with through liberal Democrat initiated lawfare.

´We are going to take back

ABC News, by Maryalice Parks    Original Article

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton acknowledged Friday that Democratic candidates around the country still face basic questions about what they stand for and which policies their party supports. Speaking at a Democrat Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., Clinton urged party leaders to return to the basics and lay out the party’s values for voters. Fair wages, the “absolute promise of universal health care,” public school funding, gun safety reform and equal pay were at the top of the former first lady’s agenda items that she thought should stay central to the Democratic Party’s platform.

One thing was clear after the latest round of primaries on Tuesday: Democrats will be spending the next four months fighting among themselves along the familiar battle lines of ideology and identity. If last week’s primaries focused on GOP efforts to maintain or expand their majority in the Senate, the second big primary night of 2018 was all about Democrats and their chances to win back the House this November. And in both Nebraska and Pennsylvania, Democratic voters picked nominees for battleground seats that the national party didn’t expect — and may not have wanted.

Francis made the comments to Juan Carlos Cruz, a Chilean victim of priestly sexual abuse who recently spent days with the pope at the Vatican to discuss his ordeal as the pontiff moves to tackle decades of coverups and ostracism of victims in the Chilean church, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais. Cruz was quoted as having discussed his homosexuality with Francis. "He told me: ´Juan Carlos, I

At the end of all the scandal and drama, all of the breathlessly reported lies and false accusations, at the end of all the money wasted on some zany kabuki swamp dance choreographed to the thrumming of giant bullfrogs and yipping of excited coyotes — at the end of all of this — it comes down to precisely what we said it was a year and a half ago. The Obama administration — with or without the knowledge and direction of President Obama himself — perverted one of the most powerful, clandestine spying operations in the world and used it at the very height of a presidential campaign to spy on political opponents,

Today, 67 percent of Americans, two-thirds of Americans think that should regulate the purchase and sale of assault weapons,” Murphy said at the Center for American Progress Ideas Conference on Tuesday.
