But what if Teddy didn´t want to be great?
Steyn Online, by Mark Steyn

Original Article

Posted By:Tianne, 4/16/2018 9:26:21 PM

I had minimal expectations of Chappaquiddick The Movie, which opened despite the best efforts of the Kennedy family and their various retainers and enablers. I have always been revolted by the fact that Ted, after killing Mary Jo Kopechne, did not have the decency to do a John Profumo and retire from public life for the rest of his days - and I was even more revolted by the way Massachusetts voters did not have the decency to impose that choice upon him. But utter contempt for your protagonist doesn´t make for very interesting drama. So it is to the film's benefit that its director, writers and Jason Clarke in the lead role

Comments:
Mr. Steyn expertly reviews both the movie, ´Chappaquiddick The Movie´, and the man who is at the center of the story - both of Mr. Steyn´s assessments are accurate and intriguing.

Greatness was never in Teddy. Practically everything he did in his political life was wrong or just flat out evil. He was a Domestic Enemy twenty years before Ubama. Where he is now there is a dearth of water, and always will be. Have fun in eternity, Sen. Kennedy. You well earned your baptism of fire. Now burn.

Spent several dinners sitting next to the female Kennedy clan at the Captain´s Table in Hyannis Port growing up - their job was obviously to keep a drunken Joan from making a scene. The real scene was the obvious cover up - shame on them all as if they had any shame.

#4 - Of all the Kennedys and their spouses, Joan was the one I felt sorry for. She was obviously window-dressing for Ted who never intended to be a faithful or even mediocre husband. Why she didn´t divorce him sooner is a mystery.

“If you’ve read Marx, there’s really no reason to read Howard Zinn,” notes author Daniel Flynn, but many have read Zinn’s million-selling A People’s History of the United States. As Rutgers history professor David Greenberg notes in a 2013 New Republic article headlined “Agit-Prof,” Zinn’s famous book is “a pretty lousy piece of work.” Even so, it gets great reviews within a circle of Marxist academics such as Eric Foner, leftist rockers such as Rage Against the Machine, and actors such as Matt Damon, who in Good Will Hunting tells his psychiatrist that A People’s History will “knock you on

An English professor at California’s Fresno State is facing backlash after she posted numerous comments on Twitter expressing her delight that former first lady Barbara Bush died. Shortly after news came out about Bush’s passing, Randa Jarrar tweeted, “Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F*** outta here with your nice words,” she wrote. Bush passed away Tuesday at the age of 92 after she declined further medical treatment for her failing health, opting instead for “comfort care.” The kind words about Bush, often described as “everybody’s grandmother,” had no impact

James Comey is a really stupid individual. Considering the legal jeopardy he must know he’s already in and with no guarantee that any political party would be likely to pardon him in the future, he has taken a plunge of absolute arrogance and nailed his future to it. Too bad it’s nailed to the legal equivalent of Jello brand gelatin. He may also count on the American people forgetting some of the most pertinent aspects of his career—which fell from its heights like a 747 with no engines, no wings, and only mountains in every direction for miles. As the heat turns up on how the FBI handled the criminal investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton´s mishandling of classified information, with a DOJ Inspector General report expected at anytime, former Obama administration officials are bracing themselves for impact. During congressional testimony last summer, recently fired FBI Director James Comey said under oath that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch told her to call the criminal investigation into Clinton a simple "matter." "It concerned me," Comey said. "The Clinton campaign at the time was using all kinds of euphemisms, ´security review,´ ´matter.´ Things like that." "For what was

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.

Originally highlighted by the Twitter account New Real Peer Review, Ensor’s journal article explores the field of “ecosexuality,” a term which means the sexual relationship between humans and plants. Advocates in the field argue that the Earth needs to be treated with love. In addition to reducing harmful environmental practices, ecosexuals believe that humans should physically make love to the Earth. Ensor, an English professor at the University of Michigan, begins by citing the “Ecosex Manifesto,” which
