Obama’s Justice Dept. feuded with FBI,
agents quit as politics played larger role

Washington Times, by Jeff Mordock

Acrimony between the FBI and Department of Justice was so bad in the waning days of the Obama Administration some agents quit the bureau, a former G-man said. Feuds over the direction of investigations — and particularly some of the high-profile politically-involved probes — began to build up as the 2016 election approached, and as the FBI felt pressure from its political masters at the department. Agents in field offices did not trust department lawyers they viewed as Washington bureaucrats, while the department’s headquarters, known in the business as Main Justice, felt rank-and-file agents weren’t following orders and, at times,

One of the key parts of this article is the last paragraph where it says Sessions needs to take charge and get the FBI and DOJ straightened out. Sessions is too weak -- I won´t hold my breath.

I don’t know what Sessions’ background was before being elected to Congress, but too many of these Congress-critters lack the real world, hands on experience to do what’s necessary. This isn’t the case with all Cabinet members, and the ones with deeper experience seem generally to have fared better so far.

Now I know why the independent FBI was put under the DOJ after the goobermint reorganized after 9/11. It was to allow corruption to roam free.

FTA: “It has to be Sessions,” he said. “The bureau reports to him and the Justice Department reports to him, yet he’s been silent on the issue. He needs to be a strong attorney general.”

Sessions is silent on most things. As he probably should be.

FTA: Mr. Adams said it could take years to repair the division, and it could require a housecleaning of leadership at both the FBI and Justice Department.

“The problem is so vast and deeply imbedded in the Justice Department, it will be an extremely difficult thing to dislodge,” Mr. Adams said.

Yet apparently the AG is supposed to somehow get this done yesterday. In my lifetime I´ve never seen such a total train wreck like Sessions has run into not to mention the AG has many other responsibilities, more mundane perhaps but sill important. Whether or not he can fix this, I don´t know. I do know he is smart, honest and capable. And he is loyal to President Trump. Maybe someone else could do the job better but considering the sheer magnitude of corruption I don´t see how anyone could do it faster. Just because Sessions is not blabbering daily about what he is doing does not mean he´s doing nothing.

AG Sessions can only do so much. One problem is that even if he were to fire every employee at DOJ and replace them, odds are that the vast majority of newly hired attorneys would be liberal and the non-attorney staff hired from the DC metro area would be liberal, too. Conservatives are a small minority here in Wash, DC and that is something no one can change.

FBI has always been part of the DOJ - not just since 911.

I think The President has given Sessions ample time to prove he can handle things at Justice. He has failed. We need a fearless street fighter in that AG Seat. One who is vocal and unafraid to go toe to toe with Democrats. One who begins a cleaning out of Justice! Get rid of the Obama holdovers! I hope that happens soon! It´s time!

This problem lies squarely on the bony little shoulders of the Kenyan disgrace, encouraging a racist attorney general to enforce his racist bias on law enforcement. His pawprints are visible all over the place but he´s still in his man-cave, feet propped up on the coffee table, running a shadow government. LOCK HIM UP.

This also explains why the top echelons of the FBI are liberal, incompetent dumbasses, all the good ones have left in disgust.

The Trump administration may take action to cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood as a result of pressure from congressional Republicans and anti-abortion lobbyists. Opponents of abortion have launched an all-out campaign urging the administration to bring back Reagan-era abortion restrictions on federal family planning dollars that would target Planned Parenthood. The regulations would ban organizations that receive family planning dollars under the Title X Family Planning Program, which funds organizations providing services like birth control to low-income women and men, from promoting abortion or referring patients for abortions. Former President Reagan first issued the regulations, which Democrats describe as

Conrad Black’s erudite biography of Donald J. Trump is different from the usual in mediis rebus accounts of first-year presidents. He avoids the Bob Woodward fly-on-the-wall unattributed anecdote, and “they say” gossip mongering. Nor is the book a rush-to-publish product from former insiders of the Trump campaign or administration. Instead, Black, a prolific and insightful historian, adopts the annalistic method in carefully tracing Trump’s earliest years in business through his various commercial misadventures, financial recoveries, and sometimes wild antics. Black’s aim is to illustrate how much of what Trump has done since announcing his presidential candidacy in summer 2015 is

Under John Brennan, the CIA operated as an opposition research outfit for the Hillary Clinton campaign. It appears from leaked news stories in the British press that Brennan’s oafish spying on Trump began around April 2016, right after Trump’s biggest primary victories. As it became urgently clear to Brennan that Trump was going to face off against Hillary, Brennan turned to “intelligence partners” in Europe for dirt on Trump. But they didn’t have any, save some pretty skimpy material on “contacts” between Trump campaign officials and Russians. Whatever Brennan collected was so insubstantial that Robert Mueller
