Anchorage: Still OK for anyone to use

Voters in Alaska’s capital city have settled — for the moment anyway — who can use which public bathroom. The answer: Anyone can use whichever one they feel most comfortable in. Anchorage voters (Pop: 300,000) have just defeated a measure to require people to use the restroom according to their biological birth gender. According to the Associated Press, this is the first American city to settle the issue this way. Anchorage thought it had addressed the modern toilet issue with a city ordinance allowing members of any gender to use any locker or restroom that they identified with. I encourage males to use the female restrooms and leave it in the same condition as most men´s rooms.

The women will immediately march in lock step to the halls of government to put an end to the transgender madness.

Generally, the mens rooms are far more pleasant and cleaner.

Mandate close door stalls and ban open urinals. Make all bathrooms genderless. Then watch water use skyrocket and the enviro crowd go ballistic.

If there is a third option, I will use the "family" restroom because there is only room for one toilet. Years ago I saw one that had a mini toilet for the kids along side the adult version.

Amazing what some major tax reforms and tax cuts in paychecks will do to public opinion. A majority of Americans — a slim one, to be sure, but a majority nonetheless — believes members of the middle class now pay “their fair share” of federal taxes. That’s way up from last year’s poll before Congress passed and President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in December. Under the ongoing tutelage of Democrats and media, a large majority of Americans knows that large corporations pay way too little in taxes, although — wait for it — the proportion that

While Republicans still like Paul Ryan, his imminent departure as Speaker — next January or perhaps sooner — won’t break too many up. Polls running from a year ago to more recently show may Americans have become disillusioned with the friendly, wonky, optimistic Wisconsin native who walked down the gangway of that aircraft carrier in 2012 as the newly-introduced vice presidential running mate of Mitt Romney. Here’s an idea that wouldn’t survive the laughter in most U.S. communities. But this is California and more specifically, Los Angeles. So, local government is moving ahead with a plan to move some of the county’s exploding homeless populations off the streets and — wait for it — into your backyard. The idea is to build little homes or large huts, depending on your scale, in the backyard of willing homeowners. A kind of YIMBY — Yes In My Backyard. According to the county’s pilot program, rents to homeowners would be covered by government low-income housing vouchers with homeless tenants

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.
