Tourists find bullet-riddled
body on Acapulco beach

Sun [UK], by Jay Akbar

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 4/16/2018 11:01:28 AM

Chilling pictures of a man lying dead in the sand in crime-plagued Acapulco encapsulates the brutal violence gripping the once-idyllic tourist hotspot in Mexico. Tourists found the unnamed man’s body floating face-down in the water off Caletilla Beach after a suspected shooting. Armed troops and forensics personnel were seen carrying the body off the tourist-packed sands, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. (Snip) The Guerrero region itself is home to numerous poppy fields used to produce opium, the main ingredient in heroin. In Acapulco, locals who depend on tourism as their main source of income are understood to bring guns to the beach

Comments:
Mexico has perhaps the most strict gun control laws in the world, so locals would be taking a real risk carrying guns to the beach for their own protection, and that would also show how real the dangers are. Close the border.

Pretty sure it is difficult for tourists to arm themselves for protection.

Mexico has a huge problem with rival cartels competing for dominance in supplying illegal, destructive drugs to the US market.

The Mexican government is corrupt and their citizens suffer, often illegally fleeing to the US either to escape their corrupt country or to make their living distributing drugs and fighting rival gangs.

The US is complicit by failing to control our borders and for providing a market for illegal drugs.

Wake up, America, or the self-destruction of our culture will continue to worsen until it is too late.

A few years ago I vacationed near Cancun and it was wonderful, the people and the area. I worried about the cartels and was told in that area it was not a concern and I have to say police were EVERYWHERE. The Mexican Government needed to ensure the tourist trade stayed healthy, after all money being sent from the USA, some vegetables and tourism were their only form of commerce. Okay, our auto makers were trying to get by cheaply by having parts and cars manufactured south of our border ensuring workers in America were put on the dole.

I won´t go back, no matter how good the deal may appear. Based on the demand, I don´t see how PDT can stop the flow of drugs into the U.S. but I sincerely hope he can. Politicians understand how dumbed-down many of our citizens (voters!) are and the drugs are only making it worse.

Bye Mehico. You were nice, for a while.

The Food and Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall of a widely prescribed blood pressure medication made in China, reviving fears about the safety of imported drugs. No. But it´s not an unimportant issue, either, and Trump knew the American press is obsessed with it. So he knew it would play a big role in the Trump-Putin post-summit news conference.
