Trump Effect: engaging in a feud with Donald John Trump increases the chances of something bad happening to you, while he rolls merrily along the way. Starbucks is the latest to learn not to mess with Trump. During the campaign, then-Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz backed Hillary. In September, he said, "I am confident that Hillary Clinton will become the next president of the United States." No problem. Voting for or donating money to Cruella de Vil does not get you in trouble. This does. "The world is screwed up. People are unsettled. There is a tremendous amount of pressure and

All this virtue signaling. As soon as hiring the "refugees" was announced, part-timers had their hours cut. The the same thing occurred when the military hiring was announced.
How good a place is Starbucks to work and show them any loyalty?

I make good coffee at home. If I want the Starbux effect I´ll pour myself a cup, yell out my own name incorrectly, light a five dollar bill on fire and then scrape the ashes into the coffee cup.
I prefer the Trump effect where I pour my coffee and just say MAGA Baby!!

Sorry, I can’t choke down that swill they call coffee at McDonalds, or deal with the plasma temps.
But I look for alternatives to Starbucks when I can find one, and it would be nice if there were a competing national chain.

Here in Seattle there are many competing chains, though they may be only local. There´s good coffee to be had on every corner. Mr. Schultz you couldn´t leave a good thing alone could you? Coffee wasn´t enough for you. I hope to see you and your profits swill down the drain like your coffee grounds.

For the past year or so, the press has floated rumors that President Trump was about to fire Bob Mueller. Some of those rumors likely came from Trump through an intermediary. Those rumors were the fog of war. The whole Mueller investigation is a smokescreen. Behind the scenes, Trump unleashed Michael Horowitz, the inspector general with the Department of Justice. Attorney General Eric Holder -- a James comey-style toadie -- rendered inspectors general useless. Holder was part of a criminal syndicate that did not want a snoopy IG blowing the whistle on the FBI, the IRS, the NSA....

A white Starbucks barista probably violated company policy when she handed over a free coffee to a black man who demanded it in the name of race “reparations.” Bryan Sharpe, who goes by “Hotep Jesus” on Twitter, filmed himself going into a Starbucks store to demand a “free coffee” because they’re “racist.”“I heard ya’ll was racist, so I came to get my free coffee,” Sharpe says in the video to the white barista taking his order. “I saw that!” the girls responds. “I heard you guys don’t like black people, so I came to get my Starbucks reparations voucher,” Sharpe

Seven students at an elementary school in Prince George’s County cut their wrists at school using blades from pencil sharpeners, according to officials. Officials with Prince George’s County Public Schools said a concerned parent at William Paca Elementary School in Hyattsville came forward on March 29 and an investigation was launched. It was revealed that the students used blades out of pencil sharpeners to cut themselves, officials stated. All seven students were seen by the school nurse and none of the children were taken to the hospital, according to officials. School counselors were brought in to speak with the students.

A push by Congress to reinstate recently discarded net neutrality rules is gaining momentum, with backers gaining enough support to force a vote. Last month, the Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal 2015 rules that required internet service providers to treat all traffic equally. Backers called the rules clumsy and unnecessary, arguing the Internet had flourished without such protections. But the vote provoked a national backlash from elected officials, technology companies and internet users worried the move would undermine an open internet by segregating it into faster and slower lanes. Almost as soon as the FCC voted, attorneys general were

Details are being worked out, the US president said. South Korea has also signalled that it may pursue a formal resolution of the longstanding conflict on the peninsula. President Moon Jae-in

As deputy FBI director, Andrew McCabe received a phone call on August 12, 2016 -- less than three months before the presidential election -- from the Obama Justice Department, in which he apparently was pressured to shut down the FBI´s investigation into the Clinton Foundation (CF), an organization that some critics allege was used as a multi-million dollar pay-for-play operation to buy access to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

Warmonger. Maniac. The Washington Post in January reported most Americans don´t trust President Trump with the nuclear "button." There were even somber pieces about keeping the president from launching missiles. We have the dumbest political press in Washington imaginable. It is just as well. We have to put the dummies somewhere. Keep them in the newsrooms, and away from important places such as the operating theater at the hospital, the drafting room in the engineering department, and the kitchens of McDonald´s. Today news leaked that North Korea and South Korea will reach a peace agreement.

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.

Originally highlighted by the Twitter account New Real Peer Review, Ensor’s journal article explores the field of “ecosexuality,” a term which means the sexual relationship between humans and plants. Advocates in the field argue that the Earth needs to be treated with love. In addition to reducing harmful environmental practices, ecosexuals believe that humans should physically make love to the Earth.
