Britain’s NHS Holds
Another Baby Hostage

American Spectator, by David Catron

Original Article

Posted By:garnet, 4/16/2018 6:54:57 AM

In most hostage situations involving a child, the police surround the building in which the victim is being held and try to convince the kidnapper not to carry out his death threats. In the case of Alfie Evans, a toddler being held captive by Britain’s National Health Service (NHS), the situation is perversely reversed. The police are standing guard outside Alfie’s room so the child’s parents cannot take him to another hospital. Alfie’s captors, the administrators of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, have obtained a court order allowing them to withdraw life support, though he hasn’t been diagnosed as terminally ill.

I think doctors and hospitals do have a right to decide whether or not they will treat someone, however, they DO NOT have the right to basically kidnap a child to prevent that child´s parents from seeking treatment elsewhere.

That needs to be illegal.

Killing children in the womb, while somewhat satisfying does not compare to actually getting to see a baby die by ones own hand, to observe the moment of death and feel the thrill of power over another life.
Sadly they cannot carve it up alive like they do in the womb, but if society continues to advance, that thrill will open to them also.
These are great times to be a murderer, and the best may be yet to come./s

#4, not to mention the enjoyment of seeing the parents suffer. That is likely another reason for their insistence that the child cannot be removed from the hospital.

I wish some brave nurse or doctor would find a way to remove Alfie from his room, get him out of the hospital and into the hands of his family.

Fifty-one years ago, in July 1967, in response to an explosion of rioting in poor black urban neighborhoods around the United States, President Lyndon B. Johnson created a National Advisory Commission on Civil Disorders, to be headed by Illinois governor Otto Kerner. The Kerner Commission issued its report seven months later, on February 29, 1968, in what would be the peak year for such disturbances—289, by one tally. From 1964 to 1972, a staggering total of 752 riots occurred, resulting in 228 deaths, 12,741 injuries, 69,099 arrests, and 15,835 incidents of arson. Most government reports gain brief notice and then languish

Roseanne Roseannadanna, played by the immortal Gilda Radner in those long-forgotten days when Saturday Night Live was still funny, would know what to say to the state legislators who just voted to slap the hapless residents of the Garden State with an individual insurance mandate: “You guys sure do pass a lot of stupid laws. You belong in New Jersey!" (snip) Congress eliminated the federal penalty last year, but the Democrats who run New Jersey aren’t letting their long-suffering constituents off the hook. And many are responding to the state-level penalty the same way Jane Curtin reacted to Roseannadanna’s commentary.

Ever since former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe was fired, McCabe and his Democrat supporters have maintained it was politically motivated. On Friday, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, a holdover from the Obama administration, released a long-awaited report that proves beyond doubt McCabe was fired for cause. The 39-page report consists of four main sections: Introduction and Summary of Findings Relevant Statutes, Policies, and Practices Factual Findings Office of Inspector General (OIG) Analysis In the introductory section, the IG explained why this investigation was initiated. The FBI’s Inspection Division (INSD) initially opened an investigation to determine whether information the Wall Street Journal published in an

On Sunday evening, ABC preempted its regularly scheduled programming to broadcast an exclusive interview conducted by “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos with former FBI Director James Comey. The star treatment is part of an all-out publicity campaign that Comey, fired by President Trump less than one year ago, has launched to promote his new book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.” How Comey’s portrayal of himself as a virtuous man selflessly devoted to the public interest fits with his rush to cash in on public service by disclosing details of his relationship with a sitting president is one of

According to the just released report by the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe wrongfully caused sensitive law enforcement information to be leaked to the Wall Street Journal and then lied to investigators about having done so. The report runs thirty-five single spaced pages and lays out in excruciating, meticulous, and damning detail how McCabe authorized an anonymous leak calculated to make it appear that he had resisted pressure by Loretta Lynch’s Justice Department to close down the FBI’s investigation of the Clinton Foundation during the 2016 election campaign and then proceeded to cover

I was honestly astounded the New Yorker actually printed Dan Piepenbring’s bigoted and downright ignorant attack piece Friday titled “Chick-Fil-A’s Creepy Infiltration of New York City.” If we want to have a good-natured debate on Chick-fil-A versus Wendy’s based solely on personal preference, I’m all for that. That´s capitalism at its finest. But Piepenbring’s piece objected to the supposed “infiltration” of Chick-fil-A on the basis of its owners´ religious beliefs. Consider the overt bigotry of this headline statement: Chick-fil-A’s “emphasis on community…suggests an ulterior motive. We’re supposed to be reassured that the FBI agents who raided the offices and home of Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, were, in Cohen’s words, “courteous” and “respectful.” The president’s attorney was understandably grateful that the agents didn’t replicate the FBI’s tactics at the home of Paul Manafort, Trump’s onetime campaign manager. Busting in before dawn, guns drawn, with a “no knock” warrant while Manafort and his wife were in bed, the agents frisked Mrs. Manafort while she was still in her nightclothes. Perhaps Cohen thinks if he sounds reasonable, he can appease Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor who ordered Manafort’s

One takeaway from President Donald Trump’s decision to pardon Scooter Libby -- an aide seen as loyal to his boss – is that the president is signaling to current and former aides who are swept up in the investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election: Keep quiet even under legal threat, and you’ll be pardoned later on. This is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi´s theory of the Libby pardon. She summed it up Friday in a tweet: "Trump is clearly trying to send a message with his pardon of Scooter Libby -- he has no issue with rewarding those who lie

Trump Action Will Reduce Immigrant

Many Americans are angry about the large percentage of their tax dollars being doled out to immigrants in the form of public assistance, particularly at a time when federal budget deficits are skyrocketing. This is no racist hobgoblin conjured up by “deplorable” knuckle-draggers, as Hillary Clinton would have it. Medicaid, for example, costs the taxpayers $565 billion annually and, according to a widely cited 2017 report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, 46 percent of immigrant households receive Medicaid benefits. The Trump administration is therefore taking action to reduce the number of non-citizens who enroll in Medicaid.

As the film Chappaquiddick brings Ted Kennedy’s ugliest public scandal to the big screen, I here propose a sequel of equally high drama and even higher stakes, rising to the highest levels of national security. It was another Kennedy outrage, made more scandalous by the Massachusetts senator’s protectors in the press. We might call this film adaptation something like, “Kennedy and the Kremlin,” or “Ted’s Russian Romance.” (Proposals?) There are actually several facets to the Kennedy-Kremlin story. One was nicely summarized this week at The American Spectator by George Parry, who captured my original reporting. Readers know that story, as do many

Among the many occasions of unintended comedy that the election of Donald Trump has vouchsafed a grateful world, perhaps none is more comic than that huddled mass of garrulous disappointment calling itself “The Resistance™.” Hillary Clinton had hardly got outside her last goblet of Chardonnay in the wee hours of November 9, 2016 before “the resistance party,” a “grassroots movement fighting against the hateful and authoritarian agenda of Donald Trump and the radical right,” was infesting the internet. Mrs. Clinton herself waited until May 2017 to announce her new political organisation aimed at funding “resistance” groups that are “standing up

Former FBI Director James B. He has been a lifelong Republican and said that in today’s party, the only Republican he does respect is former 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney. He called Mr. Romney, who is running for the open Senate seat in Utah, a “person of principle and honor.”

SAN DIEGO - Fayaz Nawabi has never met President Donald Trump. But he credits the president with convincing him to run for office. Nawabi, a 31-year-old candidate for San Diego City Council, supports almost everything that Trump opposes: He is pro-affordable housing, pro-environment, pro-immigrant and pro-refugee. That makes him part of the blue wave of new liberal candidates spurred to run by Trump´s election and policies. But Nawabi is also part of a notable subset: the blue Muslim wave. More than 90 American Muslims, nearly all of them Democrats, are running for public office across the country this year. Many

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.
