Scoop: Trump tried to block Pence
national security appointment

Axios, by Jonathan Swan

Original Article

Posted By:toledo, 4/16/2018 6:46:47 AM

The White House kept it quiet until now, but on Friday the President nearly blocked the Vice President from getting his chosen national security adviser. Why this matters: It´s a highly unusual event, as Trump typically gives Pence a long leash on personnel appointments. This is the first time the President has tried to block Pence from filling a senior staff position. The scene also highlights — once again — the extraordinary importance Trump places on personal loyalty. Show less Inside the West Wing: Trump was furious when he learned Pence was bringing on Nikki Haley´s deputy Jon Lerner, according to three sources

Is there any White House gossip too trivial to focus on?
When was the last time a president did not expect fierce loyalty?
This is boring.

Liz Peek talks about the reasonableness of an expectation of loyalty in her excellent piece, posted today.

An expectation of loyalty is not a negative. And it is not just from The Godfather. It is key to business, to governance, to any endeavor where persons are expected to be engaged in a common endeavor. Whether a sports team or neighborhood store or a business corporation or government, there is an expectation of loyalty. Without that, the entity would be in chaos and doomed to fail.

Axios is not a reliable source. Its people, wearing other hats, have long been bottom feeders trying to flush out “scoops”.

This Axios article is either fake news or there are still a lot of dangerous national security related and criminal leaks coming out of the White House.

AG Sessions should wake up, find, and criminally prosecute a couple of those leakers for them to stop. Those leaks, if they are not fake news, are coming from a very small cabal of people who are privy to President Trump’s conversations and should be easy to track down in this modern electronic age.

Other experts responsible for designing the training include executives from progressive think tank Demos, the Equal Justice Initiative, NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund President Sherrilyn Ifill, and Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. These experts would also be responsible for judging the training’s effectiveness.

The phone calls between President Trump and Sean Hannity come early in the morning or late at night, after the Fox News host goes off the air. They discuss ideas for Hannity’s show, Trump’s frustration with the ongoing special counsel probe and even, at times, what the president should tweet, according to people familiar with the conversations. When he’s off the phone, Trump is known to cite Hannity when he talks with White House advisers. The revelation this week that the two men share an attorney is just the latest sign of how Hannity is intertwined with Trump’s world — an

Former FBI Director James B. Comey said Wednesday that he no longer considers himself a Republican. “I just think they’ve lost their way, and I can’t be associated with it,” Mr. Comey said on ABC News podcast “Start Here.” Mr. Comey attributed the change in the party to the 2016 election and said that after he was fired, he started to become more politically aware. He has been a lifelong Republican and said that in today’s party, the only Republican he does respect is former 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney. He called Mr. Romney, who is running for the open Senate seat in Utah, a “person of principle and honor.”

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.

Originally highlighted by the Twitter account New Real Peer Review, Ensor’s journal article explores the field of “ecosexuality,” a term which means the sexual relationship between humans and plants. Advocates in the field argue that the Earth needs to be treated with love. In addition to reducing harmful environmental practices, ecosexuals believe that humans should physically make love to the Earth.
