Comey’s last stand for the deep state
The Hill [DC], by Mark Penn

They were among the most powerful men of the last decade. They commanded armies of armed agents, had the ability to bug and wiretap almost anyone, and had virtually unlimited budgets. They were the leadership of the FBI, the CIA and the director of national intelligence under President Obama. Each day, it becomes clearer that they are the real abusers of power in this drama. The book by former FBI Director James Comey and the daily hyperbolic John Brennan sound bites are perhaps the final reveal of just how much hubris and vitriol they had. Comey’s book, according to reports, contains

Comey became a criminal. He just hasn´t been charged yet. He´s the face of the government we always feared we would get. He, Brennan and Clapper became everything the Founders tried to prevent.

The truth is, Comey will never forgive Trump for firing him. Comey was on travel giving a speech when he saw on TV that he was fired. It´s gets better when he was not allowed to come back on the FBI plane and he had to book a flight on a commercial airline. Welcome to the real world Comey. This is how corporations are run.

Thanks OP. Finally an article posted this morning that offers support for the President and lays out just how criminal Comey etc. are.

Time to support the President and push back against the "witch hunt" that is attempting to destroy President Donald J. Trump, the executive branch, Deplorables, and any one else who believes in truth, justice, and the value of the voting American public.

Furthermore, if the Deep State can take down a sitting President, what makes the Left Liberal Progressives think that the same thing can be done to their choice someday?

In the end, while I would like to see the Deep State actors punished, I am more interested in their scheming being completely exposed and the politicization of government laid bare.

We KNOW the IRS went after Conservatives. We have some names. But what was done to really fix the problem? If Lois Lerner went to jail tomorrow, what would it matter? I want the IRS scrubbed of all the political influence and obedience to equal rights under established law reasserted.

I want the Deep State exposed, humiliated, held accountable, and STOPPED! I want our government back.

Comey is a pathetic and insignificant weasel. His ACTIONS and those of his agency MUST be revoked and safeguards put in place. There must be an enormous personal cost for acting in the way Comey did. Firing, jail, loss of pension, and the unequivocal certainty that such behavior is unethical, illegal, and WRONG.

No Mr. Comey, you can´t explain it away. You can´t sell it. We don´t endorse your magical, self serving thinking. We don´t want it or you.

Far from a last stand. The deep state can roil this ad infinitum with the support of the media. All the frontmen are invulnerable to prosecution. No one will touch Obama, Lynch, Holder or any of the government´s Black Mafia. If necessary, Congress will get offers members cannot refuse.

Charges Sought in Eric Garner’s Death,

New York Times, by Matt Apuzzo    Original Article

WASHINGTON — Federal civil rights prosecutors have recommended charges against a New York police officer in the 2014 death of Eric Garner, three current and former officials said, but top Justice Department officials have expressed strong reservations about whether to move forward with a case they say may not be winnable. Mr. Garner died on a Staten Island street after the police officer, Daniel Pantaleo, used a chokehold to subdue him. Officers had confronted Mr. Garner, who was unarmed, over accusations of selling untaxed cigarettes. His final gasps of “I can’t breathe,” captured on a cellphone video, became a rallying cry

A pro-Trump political action committee has filed a complaint with the FEC alleging the Hillary Clinton campaign laundered $84 million in contributions from big-name donors, such as Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, and designer Calvin Klein. The complaint outlines a money laundering scheme that violated multiple campaign finance laws, specifically laws related to limits on contributions by independent donors. As of this week, the complaint has escalated with a lawsuit urging the FEC to take action on the complaint which appears to have been largely ignored by the FEC since being filed in December of 2017. They are all good questions. Here are six of them: • You admit the Christopher Steele dossier was still “unverified” when the FBI used it as the basis of a surveillance warrant against Carter Page. Please explain. Also explain the decision to withhold from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that the dossier was financed by the Hillary Clinton campaign. • You say you knew the dossier was funded by a “Democrat-aligned”

All of the media need to finally understand one thing: Facebook and its founder Mark Zuckerberg don’t owe them anything. Both Zuckerberg and his data-mining company drew scrutiny in recent weeks after it was reported that it had sold information on users to Cambridge Analytica, which in turn used it to aid the Trump campaign. It was an apparent shock to some that when Facebook asks, “Would you like to share your location?” it’s not so that they can send the user a bag of money. New York Times technology writer Brian Chen wrote last week that he viewed the information Facebook

James Comey’s new book has occasioned a good deal of discussion about truth and lies and integrity. Although “A Higher Loyalty” is a brisk read with much to recommend it, the central message about how and why truth matters is one that I find troubling. There’s a worrisome bit, for instance, where Comey talks about his prosecution of Martha Stewart on charges surrounding a stock trade, including making false statements to investigators: “The Stewart experience reminded me that the justice system is an honor system. We really can’t always tell when people are lying or hiding documents, so when we

For the first time in the history of the republic, it appears increasingly likely that a majority of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will vote against the president´s nominee for secretary of state. If this happens, it would be a black mark not on Mike Pompeo´s record, but on the reputation of this once-storied committee. There are no instances of a secretary of state nominee ever receiving an unfavorable committee vote since such votes were first publicly recorded in 1925 (before that, the committee voted in closed session). Democrat John Kerry was approved in a unanimous voice vote, including from Sen.

It was telling that as Tax Day arrived this week, the media’s focus was riveted not on the massive tax overhaul that President Trump recently signed into law, but on James Comey, Stormy Daniels, and Michael Cohen. In their own ways, these three players in the Trump drama symbolize the ethical storms and moral challenges constantly buffeting the president. Those tempests have imposed an unmistakable political cost on Trump—whose approval rating remains far below what might be expected in an economy this strong—and they represent an inescapable threat to Republicans in the November midterm elections. What’s ironic is that these

All eyes are on the remaining 13 Democratic senators who helped confirm Pompeo in January 2017. In questioning him, several Democrats disputed that Mulvaney even is the director, claiming that an Obama-era appointee retains authority—and they may actually have a point. This squabbling may seem like government-incompetence-as-usual, but in fact, the CFPB is working as intended—shielding elected officials from the opposition of lobbyists who don’t want sensible financial rules and from the wrath of consumers who, a decade after the financial crisis, remain ill-served by an
