WINDOWS 10 users need to be aware of a critical bug that affects one popular piece of Microsoft software. Windows 10 fans have been put on alert about a critical bug which lets cybercriminals steal their username and password. The vulnerability affects Microsoft’s Outlook software, and attackers can take advantage of it to steal Windows login credentials. A hacker can get access to this sensitive information by convincing a victim to preview a rich text e-mail containing remotely hosted OLE objects. Once that has been done, the vulnerability doesn’t require any additional interaction with the user. OLE is a technology

Amazon warehouse staff are being driven to the brink of suicide because of working conditions, according to a survey. In a poll of 100 workers, more than half said they suffered from depression and eight people said they´d thought about killing themselves. The survey was carried out by Organise, which campaigns for employment unions. James Bloodworth, who worked ten-hour shifts at a warehouse in Rugeley, Staffordshire, claimed staff were peeing in bottles because they were scared of getting in trouble for taking toilet breaks. The Rugeley warehouse measures 700,000 sq ft and some of the 1,200 workers face a ten minute, quarter-of-a-mile walk

TWO-FIFTHS of people in Britain think multiculturalism has failed, according to a survey marking the 50th anniversary of Enoch Powell’s infamous “Rivers of Blood” speech. A YouGov poll commissioned by anti-fascist campaigners Hope Not Hate showed 40 percent of those polled believed Powell’s warning about immigration had been well-founded. Marginally more, 41 percent, thought the hate-monger had been proved wrong. However, 43 percent of those polled thought relationships between communities in the UK would deteriorate in the coming years. Just 14 percent thought they would improve, the Guardian reported. And over a third saw Islam as a threat to the

The body count is staggering. In my 43 years as a journalist, armies of trained bloodhounds have been run out of newsrooms where I´ve worked, victims of layoffs, and buyouts, and battle fatigue. I´ve lost so many hundreds of colleagues, I can´t keep track of where they ended up. These were smart, curious reporters, photographers and editors who told stories that defined place and time and made us all know each other a little better. They covered the arts and the local sports teams. They bird-dogged city councils, courts, law enforcement, school districts and other agencies that spend our tax dollars, bearing

Bush left office, he declined to pardon Libby, despite commuting his prison sentence. Cheney was angered by Bush’s decision, telling the president that he had left a soldier on the battlefield in the wake of the partisan investigation of the leak of CIA operative Valarie Plame’s name publicly to the media.
