‘RACIST + RAPIST’: On Founder’s Day at
U-Va., Jefferson’s statue is defaced

Washington Post, by Susan Svrluga

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 4/14/2018 10:23:05 AM

The words “RACIST + RAPIST” were painted on a statue of Thomas Jefferson at the University of Virginia on Friday, the day the school commemorates its founder each year. This year marks the 275th anniversary of his birth. Jefferson has become a fraught symbol as the university delves more deeply into its own complicated history, and as broader cultural battles play out nationally and locally over monuments and race. Jefferson — author of the Declaration of Independence, third U.S. president and founder of the public university — is believed to have had children with a woman who was enslaved on his plantation.

Comments:
The liberal radicals who now run the school concede there being "complexities" regarding Jefferson’s legacy. The uppermost being, perhaps, that he is white.

This is simply further proof of who the real racists are, not that we needed it. Time to retaliate by decorating the MLK statue.

So sad Jefferson & the other Founders corrupted the slaves British imported to the colonies - the slaves sold by African tribes and the future indentured servants from estates of English/Irish/Scottish/German/French/Austrian Lords NEVER experienced such atrocities in their original lands....

Isn´t it an act of racism to believe that sex between a white man and black woman could not have been based on affection and love? That it had to have been rape?
That demeans the memory of Sally, and it harms the descendants of Jefferson and Sally.
(I have discovered, via Ancestry, that I have black distant cousins. I would prefer to believe that they were the products of a loving relationship between some of my Polish relatives and some black sex partners, rather than products of rape.)

Just think, Suzie- If it had not been for Thomas Jefferson impregnating his black slave mistress, today we would have never gotten the "The Jefferson´s" TV show. So it all worked out, right?

Or am I just being ignorant about all this? You be the judge, Suzie.

There is no proof that Thomas Jefferson fathered any children with slaves. At the time there were young nephews living on the plantation and they would have some of the same DNA as Thomas Jefferson. People want to change history to serve their own biases.

This is what liberalism spawns, anarchy. The leftists will themselves be the victims of wanton violence wrought by evil men with power lust in their hearts. This is revolutionary mindset which unleashes the dogs of hell to destroy a nation. It would be entirely possible for every major (liberal) city in this nation to be shut down and cut off from the world by gangs who merely take control of the major arteries, e.g. highways and airports, while their cohorts run amok in the streets attacking cops and first responders and taking guns and ammunition.

All societies are as fragile as fine crystal when you think about it.

2nd post apologies, but, although I do not have a good understanding of DNA, I believe it to be correct that either Thomas Jefferson or his brother fathered Sally´s offspring. And the DNA proves that. The White Jefferson family descendants have accepted the black side of the family as relatives.
Even more interesting is the fact that George Washington is believed to have fathered a son with his brother´s slave girl.
The boy in question was the only slave freed by George´s brother, upon George´s death.

New York — The voting rights of tens of thousands of disenfranchised parolees were restored under an executive order from Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday. New York will be one of just 14 states that allow people to vote after they’ve served time in prison. Cuomo noted that 75 percent of parolees in the state are black or Latino and voting restrictions disproportionately impact African American and Hispanic communities. “It is unconscionable to deny voting rights to New Yorkers who have paid their debt and have re-entered society,” Cuomo said. “This reform will reduce disenfranchisement and will help restore justice and fairness

The Armed Forces have a shortfall of 8,200 regular troops in the ‘largest gap in a decade’, Whitehall’s spending watchdog says. The military was so understaffed in critical areas such as intelligence that operations could not be carried out without cancelling leave or training. There was a 26 per cent shortfall in intelligence analysts last year, according to the National Audit Office (NAO) – even as the Ministry of Defence tries to bolster its cyber capabilities. The report said this was because of increasing demand for analysts and difficulties persuading troops to stay in the military. It comes as alarm grows over

The embarrassing chaos left agency leaders struggling for an explanation and forced them to apologize for bungling the biggest day of the year. It comes just as the agency begins to carry out Republicans’ tax cut law. Returns and payments for the 2017 tax year now must be filed before midnight Wednesday, the agency said. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans.
