The Scooter Libby Pardon
New York Sun, by Editorial

Original Article

President Trump hadn’t even issued his pardon of I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby when the Democratic Party foghorns started suggesting he was doing it for reasons they see as nefarious. “This is the President’s way of sending a message to those implicated in the Russia investigation: You have my back and I‘ll have yours,” the Washington Post quoted Congressman Adam Schiff tweeting. To Mr. Schiff we commend 74 Federalist by Alexander Hamilton. For it turns out that the Founders wrestled with the problem of a president turning on the U.S. government itself (they worried about treason). Some argued that, as Hamilton

This is what should have been done during the Bush presidency but seeing how George W. has turned out, I now understand why it wasn´t done. After all, Scooter Libby wasn´t the guilty one.

There was no Ken Starr ´lurch.´
When the filthy story about Dollar Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky emerged, AG Janet ´Butch´ Reno didn´t want to appoint a second special counsel, so she stuck Ken Starr with it.
There is no comparison between Ken Starr´s work and the gestapo like work of Herr Mueller.

I was furious when I read the headline about Libby´s pardon, in my Knoxville paper. It said:"Trump pardons Libby, who exposed agent, lied to the FBI." Of course it was a USA Today article. I thought sure in the article it would admit that it was Armitage, but it didn´t. His name was never even mentioned.

Patrick Fitzgerald knew Armitage was the leaker yet he went after Libby because he hated Dick Cheney. Fitzgerald, a prosecutor who under the guile of the "law" used it to bludgeon an innocent man should have to pay a price by a long time in prison. How is he different from a criminal who shoots a man a disables him for life?

I recently accepted an invitation from the 2-108th Cavalry Squadron of the Louisiana National Guard to join them on an extended field training exercise at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. The 2-108th and other units of the National Guard are ramping up their training in anticipation of more overseas deployments in the coming years. No longer is the Guard just a strategic reserve force capable only of handling small domestic and humanitarian crises; they are now an integral part of the U.S. Army’s total combat force. After spending four days in the field with these soldiers, here’s what I learned. Throughout the four-day period,

Why does ABC News entrust its coverage of Hillary Clinton stories to one of the former first family’s longtime capos? George Stephanopoulos, who served for years as an adviser to former President Bill Clinton, can sit across from former FBI director James Comey and say things like, “Your critics say this is a clear, clear, clear double standard. You revealed information about Hillary Clinton. You concealed information about Donald Trump. That elected Donald Trump,” and “you´ve decided to say publicly there is a criminal investigation — of Hillary Clinton, which many considered a break with precedent” and the press considers this

Move over, Trump Derangement Syndrome. Another unhinged liberal pathology is back: Chick-fil-A-phobia. Perhaps, in the interest of public health, the CDC should launch a weekly C-F-A-P surveillance report to map the recurrence of this culturally infectious disease. Early-onset symptoms include fear of pressure-cooked poultry, allergic reaction to waffle potato fries and an irrational hatred of cow costumes. Anti-Christian prejudice and coastal elitism are common comorbidities associated with this debilitating progressive condition. Ground zero for the latest outbreak? Democrats and some concerned Republicans have been warning for months that firing special counsel Robert Mueller would be a point of no return for President Donald Trump. That speculative frontier advanced even further over the weekend, after the New Yorker’s Adam Davidson declared that the Trump presidency has now entered its “end stages,” following a raid on the office and hotel room of Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen. What these predictions rather conspicuously lack is any attempt to explain precisely the series of events that would be Trump’s formal undoing. In the case of Mueller’s firing, Democrats, in typical Democratic

Even as Jim Comey and John Brennan lecture the American people on what is “normal,” they adopt an astonishingly abnormal role for former heads of the CIA and FBI — the role of coup leaders whose partisanship grows more reckless by the day. “This is not a tin-pot dictatorship,” says Comey. But aren’t Brennan and Comey acting like officials of a displaced one? They are trying to claw back to power by spreading unverified charges against a duly elected president. Brennan says without evidence that the Russians have “something” on Trump. Comey says without evidence that it is “possible” Trump paid

For a newspaper that prides itself on its supposed devotion to science and rationality, the New York Times sure does publish a lot of tripe anthropomorphizing plants. For example, there was that professor who appeared in the Sunday Opinion section arguing that “peas are a who,” and that humans should only eat fruit and vegetables from perennials that we harvest “as a gift of vegetal being.” Then there was the Times’ science columnist (!!) Former FBI Director James B. He has been a lifelong Republican and said that in today’s party, the only Republican he does respect is former 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney. Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.
