Michael Wolff hurt the country and he´s proud
Washington Examiner, by Eddie Scarry

Original Article

Michael Wolff inflicted immeasurable damage on the country and, like an idiot child proud of getting expelled from school, he’s still bragging about it. After awkwardly retreating from TV interviews and the embarrassment of seeing all of his speaking tour canceled before it even began, you’d think Wolff would slither away for the rest of eternity. Nope! Under normal circumstances, Wolff would be unpublishable outside of Craigslist. But because he wrote a book of lies about President Trump, the Hollywood Reporter gave him substantial space on Wednesday to restate why it’s OK to be a con artist. (Wolff more kindly describes himself

Why does ABC News entrust its coverage of Hillary Clinton stories to one of the former first family’s longtime capos? George Stephanopoulos, who served for years as an adviser to former President Bill Clinton, can sit across from former FBI director James Comey and say things like, “Your critics say this is a clear, clear, clear double standard. You revealed information about Hillary Clinton. You concealed information about Donald Trump. That elected Donald Trump,” and “you´ve decided to say publicly there is a criminal investigation — of Hillary Clinton, which many considered a break with precedent” and the press considers this

Move over, Trump Derangement Syndrome. Another unhinged liberal pathology is back: Chick-fil-A-phobia. Perhaps, in the interest of public health, the CDC should launch a weekly C-F-A-P surveillance report to map the recurrence of this culturally infectious disease. Early-onset symptoms include fear of pressure-cooked poultry, allergic reaction to waffle potato fries and an irrational hatred of cow costumes. Anti-Christian prejudice and coastal elitism are common comorbidities associated with this debilitating progressive condition. Ground zero for the latest outbreak? The headquarters of The New Yorker magazine. This week´s issue online features the bigoted lament of writer Daniel Piepenbring, who decries the fast-food chain´s "creepy infiltration"

Democrats and some concerned Republicans have been warning for months that firing special counsel Robert Mueller would be a point of no return for President Donald Trump. That speculative frontier advanced even further over the weekend, after the New Yorker’s Adam Davidson declared that the Trump presidency has now entered its “end stages,” following a raid on the office and hotel room of Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen. What these predictions rather conspicuously lack is any attempt to explain precisely the series of events that would be Trump’s formal undoing. In the case of Mueller’s firing, Democrats, in typical Democratic

Comey and Brennan, Leaders of the Coup
American Spectator, by George Neumayr    Original Article

Even as Jim Comey and John Brennan lecture the American people on what is “normal,” they adopt an astonishingly abnormal role for former heads of the CIA and FBI — the role of coup leaders whose partisanship grows more reckless by the day. “This is not a tin-pot dictatorship,” says Comey. But aren’t Brennan and Comey acting like officials of a displaced one? They are trying to claw back to power by spreading unverified charges against a duly elected president. Brennan says without evidence that the Russians have “something” on Trump. Comey says without evidence that it is “possible” Trump paid

In his ABC interview, fired FBI Director James Comey was asked about reports that he told Congress, in March 2017, that the FBI agents who interviewed Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn did not think Flynn had lied to them — even though Flynn, several months later, pleaded guilty to one count of lying to the FBI. Did Comey tell lawmakers that? Here is the exchange between Comey and ABC´s George Stephanopoulos: STEPHANOPOULOS: There´s been some reporting that — at —at — at one point you told the Congress that the agents who interviewed Mike Flynn didn´t believe that he had lied.

For a newspaper that prides itself on its supposed devotion to science and rationality, the New York Times sure does publish a lot of tripe anthropomorphizing plants. For example, there was that professor who appeared in the Sunday Opinion section arguing that “peas are a who,” and that humans should only eat fruit and vegetables from perennials that we harvest “as a gift of vegetal being.” Then there was the Times’ science columnist (!!) Natalie Angier claiming the plants “are the ethical autotrophs” because they don’t kill to stay alive. (Well, there are those Venus flytraps, but never mind.) Now in the Book

Having used both his book, A Higher Loyalty, and his interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos to portray himself as the defender of truth, the paragon of integrity, the embodiment of ethical values and principles and as someone guided by a steady moral compass, former FBI Director James Comey has drenched the public discourse with the stink of sanctimony. Not to mention his heavy yammering about leadership, the likely topic he’ll be lecturing on at $60,000 a speech on the stemwinding circuit for the next couple of years. Mark Zuckerberg proudly trotted out a number when he was being questioned last week by Congress: His company, Facebook, would soon double the security team that monitors content on the site, to 20,000. There are now 10,000 people who keep watch for the bad things that users can put on Facebook and the monkey businesses they can conduct through the website. So that figure would be multiplied by two. Wow, 20,000! That seems like a lot. And the lawmakers who questioned Zuckerberg must have thought so because nobody brought up what I am about to. Facebook proudly claims to have 2 billion active users,

SAN DIEGO — The Trump administration said Monday that California Gov. Jerry Brown rejected terms of the National Guard’s initial deployment to the Mexican border, but a state official said nothing was decided. “The governor determined that what we asked for is unsupportable, but we will have other iterations,” Ronald Vitiello, U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s acting deputy commissioner, told reporters in Washington. Brown elicited rare and effusive praise from President Donald Trump last week for pledging 400 troops to the Guard’s third large-scale border mission since 2006. But the Democratic governor conditioned his commitment on his state’s troops having nothing to do

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said that officials from both countries have cited “pending security issues” for preventing the independent watchdog from entering Douma, the Syrian city where U.S. and French authorities believe a poison gas attack occurred on April 7. Instead of inviting them to enter the city, Syrian officials have offered them the chance to interview 22 people as witnesses, Ahmet Uzumcu, Director-General of OPCW, told an executive council meeting of the group

There’s nothing sadder than a small city. A small town has its lawns and picket fences and wholesome values, a big town its go-getters and civic fathers. A big city has its strivers and fine food and bright lights. But a small city, full of drifters and vacant lots, faded Victorian houses lining its weed-buckled streets, is ruinously sad. Such a city will have many of the bad elements of a metropolis and few of the good. It will have desperate people, lost causes, and crime. It will have mobsters. Danbury, Connecticut, is the ultimate small city. Depending on whom you ask, Jimmy

The book by former FBI Director James Comey and the daily hyperbolic John Brennan sound bites are perhaps the final reveal of just how much hubris and vitriol they had. Nawabi, a 31-year-old candidate for San Diego City Council, supports almost everything that Trump opposes: He is pro-affordable housing, pro-environment, pro-immigrant and pro-refugee. That makes him part of the blue wave of new liberal candidates spurred to run by Trump´s election and policies. But Nawabi is also part of a notable subset: the blue Muslim wave. More than 90 American Muslims, nearly all of them Democrats, are running for public office across the country this year. Many

That’s happening more and more these days as thousands of Americans catch on to this generous scam of airlines. The con is that passengers can claim they need the dog or cat’s company for “emotional support.” [Snip] The result is a rapidly-growing number of jammed airliners taking off like flying kennels.
