Los Angeles approves plan to pay
property owners to build houses or
renovate garages in their backyards
for homeless people to live in

City officials in Los Angles want to help pay homeowners with extra space to put small accommodations in their backyards for homeless people. Los Angeles county has been facing a growing homeless population, and there are currently nearly 58,000 people without living shelter. Last month protests called ´Not in my backyard,´ blocked new homeless housing in Temple City and delayed it in Boyle Heights. The protests also killed a project in neighboring Orange County to relocate homeless people living on the streets into shelters. But now, a project has been approved that will pay people in the county to put up basic homes

Comments:
Live close enough to a rad-left lib and you, too, can enjoy the many benefits of whacked-out vagrants wandering, defecating, stealing, etc right in your immediate area of operations, combined with falling home values.

Supposedly the "more responsible" from among the homeless masses will move into these new quarters.

I suspect choosing who those responsible homeless are will prove interesting. And any subsequent eviction will prove impossible.

Not only will there be problems getting rid of the "garbage"

If you build a building on your property , you´ve improved it , therefore your taxes go up.
The amount of payment from the city will be less than the tax burden

Yeah, I´d definitely want to get some homeless drug addicts and drunks to live in my garage in the back yard.

A person would have to be insane to do this...or an LA city council member....which is pretty much the same thing.

Most homeless are drug addicts and/or mental cases suffering schizophrenia, bipolar, and/or borderline personality disorder. If you´ve ever interacted with individuals suffering these mental states, you´ll know to stay far, far away.

The libtards created the mess so only them should get the free money to renovate their garages, sheds, and another house on their property. That way they can experience a sewer in their backyard instead of their protected walled off enclaves keeping the homeless out.

I guess the folks running the local government in LA have forgotten the Parable of "The Little Red Hen"... if you have forgotten it, re-read it to see how off base socialism is... what´s worse is that they seem to think that totalitarianism goes great together with this ridiculous potential edict

Or as Jack Nicholson said as "The Joker" in the 1989 Batman movie: "This town needs an enema!"

Many communities are between a rock and a hard place.
Congressmen from other states have forced CA to deal with 8-10 million criminals, bums, and drug addicts that steamed across the open border.
And, they are STILL streaming across.
We can´t build fast enough to absorb this massive invasion, so more and more people have to live on the streets.
The moronic politicians here did not create this crisis, Washington DC did.

Can you imagine living in a one family home with small children in LA, and then having four formerly homeless men, that you know nothing about, living in your remodeled garage, what could possibly go wrong there?

Common sense, and human nature being what it is, will tell you that such a nutty scheme at taxpayer’s expense is bound to encourage more homeless people to move to LA. Of course to the leftists who will show up to register those formerly homeless folks as Democrat voters nothing could be more fabulous.

Years ago we lived near Oxnard in Ventura County North of LA. At the time there was a section of Oxnard referred to as being la Colonia, populated almost entirely with illegal and legal Mexican agricultural workers and their families. In the backyard of almost every home were garages and sheds that were used to house mostly young male illegal aliens from Mexico. Sometimes four or five illegal aliens would bed down in a one car garage. In those years most unattached male illegal aliens would return to Mexico each year after the growing season ended and certainly before Christmas, and they would sneak back into the USA in the early spring when the growing season started again.

Okay, what happens when one of these deranged homeless people break intfamilyo the ´s home stabs the homeowner´s children sleeping in their beds and the homeowner takes out a gun and shoots homeless dead person dead? Since deranged homeless person was not an intruder nor trespasser, the homeowner had no right to use deadly force. Homeowner goes to jail for Man1 or Man2. Deranged homeless heirs file a civil suit for wrongful death and get the home.

The number of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh jumping the border to sneak into the U.S. is on pace to double in the Laredo region of Texas, officials said Wednesday, in what is the latest worrying surge of migration from a country with terrorism dangers. The illegal immigrants pay up to $27,000 to international smuggling organizations to ferry them from Asia into the western hemisphere, where they make their way up through Central America and Mexico to the U.S. border, where they’re led across the Rio Grande. Another four Bangladeshis were nabbed in the Border Patrol’s Laredo Sector on Wednesday, bringing the total

New York — The voting rights of tens of thousands of disenfranchised parolees were restored under an executive order from Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday. New York will be one of just 14 states that allow people to vote after they’ve served time in prison. Cuomo noted that 75 percent of parolees in the state are black or Latino and voting restrictions disproportionately impact African American and Hispanic communities. “It is unconscionable to deny voting rights to New Yorkers who have paid their debt and have re-entered society,” Cuomo said. “This reform will reduce disenfranchisement and will help restore justice and fairness

The Armed Forces have a shortfall of 8,200 regular troops in the ‘largest gap in a decade’, Whitehall’s spending watchdog says. The military was so understaffed in critical areas such as intelligence that operations could not be carried out without cancelling leave or training. There was a 26 per cent shortfall in intelligence analysts last year, according to the National Audit Office (NAO) – even as the Ministry of Defence tries to bolster its cyber capabilities. The report said this was because of increasing demand for analysts and difficulties persuading troops to stay in the military. It comes as alarm grows over

The IRS gave taxpayers an additional day to file their returns — until midnight Wednesday — after the agency sustained a major breakdown that left its systems unable to accept online filings or payments for much of Tuesday. The embarrassing chaos left agency leaders struggling for an explanation and forced them to apologize for bungling the biggest day of the year. It comes just as the agency begins to carry out Republicans’ tax cut law. Returns and payments for the 2017 tax year now must be filed before midnight Wednesday, the agency said. The grace period applies to both businesses and individuals.
