John Boehner joins cannabis
dispensary board: Report

Washington Times, by Sally Persons

Original Article

Posted By:Ribicon, 4/11/2018 3:39:08 PM

Former House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday that he has joined the board of a cannabis dispensary after changing his opinion on the issue. “Over the last 10 or 15 years, the American people’s attitudes have changed dramatically,” Mr. Boehner said, Bloomberg reported. He joined the Acreage Holdings Board, which cultivates, processes and dispenses marijuana in 11 states across the U.S. The move is a big shift for the former speaker who once said he was “unalterably opposed” to legal marijuana. Marijuana activists say Mr. Boehner’s evolution on the issue is an important one for Republicans to show that those in their party

Comments:
A prototypical Principled Republican takes the usual wide stance on issues; that is, anything for a buck. Odd choice, though; most would picture the bleary-eyed weeper on the board of a whiskey distillery.

Follow the money. Boehner was always very good at that.

Apparently Weeping John Boehner has discovered that mixing his bourbon on the rocks whilst puffing away on a joint is a really, really mellow high. Next up for Johnny Walker Boehner - Tats, pants worn low, chillin´ with Snoop Dawg.

Boehner was always a cigarette smoker; his amber colored skin would be suggestive of his regular tar and nicotine consumption. Bill Weld´s presence on this cannabis dispensary board makes perfect sense.

The claim that neither has ever touched marijuana might be true; if it is I suggest that they both need to beat a retreat to Panera Bread Co. and get really stoned. Zonked. Bring Bill Bennett along, too. He needs it to mellow out. It´s legal in D.C. and nine states.

The claim that neither has ever touched marijuana might be true; if it isn´t they´re both hypocritical liars. Whether it is or isn´t, I suggest that they both need to head over to Panera Bread Co., pick up a "to go" bag, go somewhere where they can kick back and relax, and get really stoned. Zonked. Sagging like a flower in a frost. Bring Bill Bennett along, too, and give him a couple of big hits off the joint. He needs that to mellow out. As Carl Spackler, assistant greenkeeper at Bushwood CC, said, "Cannonball!" It´s legal in D.C. and nine (and counting) states.

Chilling pictures of a man lying dead in the sand in crime-plagued Acapulco encapsulates the brutal violence gripping the once-idyllic tourist hotspot in Mexico. Armed troops and forensics personnel were seen carrying the body off the tourist-packed sands, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Snow continued to fall across southern Minnesota Sunday, stretching out an epic weather weekend that closed roads, led to an hourslong airport shutdown and turned the landscape into a winter wonderland — all in mid-April. In the Twin Cities, Saturday´s rare metro-area blizzard warning had eased into a winter weather advisory for Sunday, with 2 to 4 more inches of snow expected to fall through the day, according to the National Weather Service in Chanhassen. Saturday´s blizzard designation, called "historic" by the Weather Service, was the first for the metro area since 2005. (Snip) Across the metro, plows roared, snowblowers whirred

‘RACIST + RAPIST’: On Founder’s Day at

The words “RACIST + RAPIST” were painted on a statue of Thomas Jefferson at the University of Virginia on Friday, the day the school commemorates its founder each year. This year marks the 275th anniversary of his birth. Jefferson has become a fraught symbol as the university delves more deeply into its own complicated history, and as broader cultural battles play out nationally and locally over monuments and race. Jefferson — author of the Declaration of Independence, third U.S. president and founder of the public university — is believed to have had children with a woman who was enslaved on his plantation.

Police are looking for three men who beat up a security guard in Tallahassee last week after they were told a pool party had to come to an end. When the guard — who police said was not authorized to be patrolling the area — asked the rowdy party attendees in bathing suits to leave, three men brutally pounced on him. All it took was one punch to take down the guard, video shows. One attacker jumped on him, while the other two continued to pound him on the ground. It was unclear what the unidentified security guard´s injuries were. The party was held on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Aqua Palms Apartments, but it wasn't until Friday

The Brooklyn man arrested for the chokehold rape and robbery of a young Bronx teacher has a history of violent sexual attacks, including a 2015 rape arrest, police said. Lynneke Burris, 30, of Prospect-Lefferts Garden, was arrested Thursday night for what police believe was a violent random attack on the 23-year-old high school English teacher in her Concourse Village apartment building about 1 a.m. Burris threw her in a headlock until she passed out, authorities said. When she came to, he raped her in the building’s elevator, took cash, her wallet and demanded her PIN, police said.
