From crack cocaine to Mar-a-Lago:
The unusual journey of the MyPillow man

The pillow salesman had so much crack cocaine pounding through his bloodstream he hadn’t slept for two weeks, he would later say. Even the drug dealers were counseling Mike Lindell to slow down. It was March 2008, and the Minneapolis-area entrepreneur’s life was in free fall. Marriage broken. House lost. Business — a company he started four years earlier called MyPillow — struggling. Two weeks into this particular bender, Lindell went to his usual drug dealers for a fix. But the guys had already put word out on the street: No one sell to Lindell until he sleeps. “They were three of

An inspiring story. We have a couple of his pillows, I can´t tell the difference between the ones we used to have but my husband and son swear by them.

Not everyone who has struggled with addiction experiences the same, almost-instantaneous release from its bonds. God works in different ways with different people. My hope and prayer are that MyPillow man stays sober and keeps on trying to serve the Lord.

Really important to drag this story out of mothballs now that he has consistently shown his support for President Trump and now Laura Ingraham, refusing to remove his company’s ads from her program.

The WaPo is such a shabby rag, home to some very shabby reporters.

Oh yes, the left, believers of equal rights, diversity, and all things noble, will crush you by any means if you do not agree with them. They have become a brain washing cult. Their whole existence relies solely on narrative and spin.

They are not far from putting quarters over their eyes and tying on a new pair of sneakers to go and meet the promised one, or something.

Really, not far off.

Mike has courage. That is what it takes to get clean from drugs. I pray God continues to give him the strength and courage to stay away from that dreadful addiction.
I wish him continues success. He seems like a pretty nice guy I would have a beer with except I don´t drink or like beer. Maybe we could down a couple lemonades.
Good luck Mike and Godspeed.

I think some posters are missing the point of the story. Its not really political at all. Its a story of one man and his journey from the bottom to his top.

With the grace of God. I don´t have his pillows, and frankly find his ads rather annoying after a point, but his ability to overcome addiction and to talk openly about it, is to be admired. And, I like that he likes Trump!

Is this a success story about a man turning his life around, or another effort by the leftist media attempting to invent another crisis for President Trump? The Washington Post apparently had no issues with Obama smoking pot during his college days, or his associating with the anti Semite Louis Farrakhan.

In his ads Lindell prominently has a cross displayed around his neck. My guess is that he overcame his drug addiction using a 12 step program similar to what alcoholics use in AA. If his faith gave him the courage to overcome his addiction then he is to be praised not castigated. Quite apart from his personal story, his pillows ( I have four of them) are very comfortable and I have recommended them to many friends. May his recovery be permanent.

THE MAGIC MICROSCOPIC particles that might change the world — and in the process, permanently burnish Seattle’s spot on the big, ascent-of-man scientific map — are, at this very moment, being carted about on a medical campus one short traffic jam away from the shores of Lake Union. Lest you believed Seattle’s head-tax debate was not already hot enough, a union-backed activist group says Amazon should be charged with a crime for its threat to roll back job growth if the Seattle City Council imposes the controversial tax aimed at helping homeless people. The group, Working Washington, is asking Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson to charge Amazon with a Class B felony: “intimidating a public servant,” citing the company’s move to pause some construction and leasing in the city pending the outcome of the vote on the so-called “head tax.” In an open letter to Ferguson on

The 16-year-old had been charged with two robberies, appeared capable of considerable violence and faced the possibility of years locked in a juvenile jail. With stakes that high, Carballo-Oliveros could have been the ideal test case, the kid who proved that a therapeutic approach to juvenile justice could catch the most challenging teens before they graduated to a lifetime in prison. Instead, he became the boy who nearly dashed King County’s fledgling effort to confront youth crime in new ways.
