Don’t miss Chappaquiddick!

The movie Chappaquiddick exceeded my very high expectations. Not only is it a truthful exploration of the events that led up the death of May Jo Kopechne and the criminal cover-up of Ted Kennedy’s culpability therein, it goes deep into the character of the man, and how he got to the depraved state of indifference to the life of a young woman who had devoted herself to “the cause” of the Kennedy family. One of the huge and pleasant surprises was the way in which, from its opening moments, the film delved in the family dynamics of the brood Joe

It has taken a half century for this story to be told. Kudos all around, and I think the actors are showing true grit in putting their careers on the line to tell a story like this.

There´s further solace in looking forward to a similar truth-telling about the Clinton/"Deep State" syndicate. Living another half century to see it will be a challenge, to say the least. Besides, unpacking the Clinton machine will take more than one movie. More than a Godfather triptych, frankly.

The symbiotic racketeering by the Clintons and Democrats isn´t even over yet. (Personally, the "closure" I want is the dissolution of the Clinton Foundation and its massive, ill-gotten wealth.)

Telling the true story will feed generations of historians, and there is some comfort in believing that our grandchildren´s generation will see it. If the First Amendment survives, of course. And that is NOT a certainty.

Now that this movie is out, will Mr. Trump enforce the law of the JFK Act and force those still hidden documents to be released which should have been released in full back in October?

Much of what was released had BLANK pages and still were redacted.

Only when we have the FACTS can this kind of hidden history be told and the TRUTH be known.

From what I have heard and read, this movie is well worth seeing to finally get the facts of Miss Kopeckne´s death at the hands of the ´lion´ of the Senate.

If the facts were known, Ted Kennedy would have never challenged President Carter in the primaries of 1980

This was one of the many bricks that built the wall that has become today´s "fake news" phenomenon. The MSM didn´t abandon journalism and ethics overnight. It was a gradual justification for bending the truth ... for the cause, for the good of the people, for the liberal democrats.

Surprising reviews! I had not planned on seeing another whitewash of the Shanty Irish Kennedy Clan, but it appears some truth has come out with Chappaquiddick, and I now feel I need to support the effort.

#5 makes a great point as well. This family and this period in time, was a big part of the Foundation of the Democrat Party as we know it today. The media manipulation, JFK and Camelot II (Bill and Hillary), LBJ and the Great Society.

This all led to the World UniParty, the Hawaiian, and places us right where we are today. I think I´ll go see it. And the weather still stinks here in So Ohio today!

The Kennedy crime family and especially, Ted (The Swimmer), have been one of the greatest curses our nation has endured. The harm this "man" has done to our nation is incalculable. As I´ve said before, read "Senatorial Privilege," by Leo Damore. It tells the whole truth regarding this homicide. But the most grievous harm The Swimmer ever did to our nation, which I fear will cause it´s eventual ruination, was his ushering through the abominable 1965 Immigration Reform Act (Hart-Celler Act).

Thomas Lifson preferred to not spoil the moment by giving away Old Joe´s one word, but the NYT felt no such obligation in their bottom-feeding review:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/06/opinion/chappaquiddick-ted-kennedy-distortortion.html

Ted Kennedy has not passed into the public domain in this sense, so one tampers with his life at the peril of turning it into tawdry melodrama. This is especially true of the Kennedy family, who remain politically active, and divisive.

"Turning it" into tawdry melodrama. That one made me laugh out loud.

The NYT; still bending over the desk for their ignoble causes and covers, fifty years down the road.

James Comey´s bid to throw former Attorney General Loretta Lynch under the bus isn´t going over well, at least with Lynch. According to a report in Axios, which includes a long blathering statement from Lynch: Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch released a statement on Sunday, saying that she and former FBI Director James Comey have known each other almost 30 years, and "he had ample opportunities to raise" any concerns he had over the Department of Justice´s investigation of Hillary Clinton´s emails, but "[h]e never did." The day that James Comey cashed the multi-million dollar advance check from MacMillan Publishers will turn out to mark the date that we can call “Peak Comey.” It was all downhill from the instant the ink started drying on his signature on the back of the check. If Special Counsel Robert Mueller believed he had actionable grounds to suspect Pres. Trump of some crime that Mueller was authorized to investigate, he should have raided Trump´s home and offices, not the offices of Trump´s attorney, Michael Cohen. When Mueller seized Cohen´s records, he was seizing privileged information between a lawyer and not only his one client, Donald Trump, but also such privileged information from Cohen and all his clients. Mueller was not only doing potentially serious damage to Cohen´s profession, but also violating a bedrock principle – client-attorney confidentiality – on which our legal system stands.
