‘Chappaquiddick’ Distorts a Tragedy
New York Times, by Neal Gabler

Original Article

Senator Edward Kennedy, one of the most famous members of America’s most famous family, understood that he belonged as much to popular culture as to political culture. Now, nine years after his death, comes a movie about the event that, almost as much as the circumstances of his birth, established him in the tabloid pantheon: Chappaquiddick. The film, by the same name, opened Friday and retells the story of an accident in July 1969, on the titular Massachusetts island near Martha’s Vineyard, in which Mr. Kennedy drove off a bridge, killing his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, a campaign worker for his

Aren´t these the same "News" people who thought of Stalin as "Uncle" Joe?

The only tragedy is that it didn´t end Kennedy´s career.

Leaving a young woman to slowly suffocate in an air bubble. Reporting the incident hours later. Then using the family´s vicious power to suppress and distort for years is not a tragedy. It is a selfish ruthless crime. Don´t know what dictionary the Times uses.

A man who Is known to be a drunk, a frat boy in a man’s body, a serial abuser of women, a liar and a cheat left a young woman to die in the car that he crashed into the water in the wee hours of a summer morning after a party. He didn’t go to the police for several hours to report the accident and the girl died. These are facts. The author tries to rewrite history for the ignorant and say that the idea that a cover up occurred is the provenance of the Tin Foil Hat Brigade. I suspect the author’s upcoming biography of Ted Kennedy misrepresents the criminally feckless and cowardly senator as a hero of the people. If so, “Chappaquiddick” not only threatens his books’ sales but leaves the author looking ridiculous. Hence, this cynical article.

Nice to know that even after 50 years the NYT is still bending over for the Kennedys. That´s loyalty. Yes, technically it was an accident but he left her to die to cover his own ass. All he had to do was to tell someone, one person, that help was needed. But since Uncle Teddy passed some NYT/liberal approved legislation we need to let this hostility go. For goodness sake he was "haunted" and "dismayed" about the whole episode. Poor Teddy, poor victim. The loss of one human life is certainly not too much to give so that the lion of the senate (how stupid is that phrase) could reign over us.

Kneel Gobbler will be better off when he realizes that Camelot is where you go to trade in your camel. He obviously thinks that it refers to a period more sacred than the founding. Most will be sorry for the death of Jack and Bobby and the destructive ,long life of Teddy.

Neal Gabler, part of the tragedy, is that this film is 50 years late in coming. Sychophants, such as yourself, Neal, did everything you could to keep the the truth from surfacing. Play on words, surfacing of Mary Jo, is intended.

Not unexpectedly, big liberal media is going to defend this fat, worthless, horse´s patoot. Kennedy´s distinguished career consisted of giving away OPM to democrat voters. That hardly sets him above the democrat crowd let alone making him a Lion. He was a drunk, a low IQ jerk and a misogynist. He spent his last ten years of life sleeping in a Senate chair and sucking up taxpayer money for doing nothing. If he felt any remorse for the murder of this young lady, he certainly didn´t show it.

The Kennedys are well-heeled mongrels. Chappaquiddick Ted was the worst of the lot. An unbelievably abusive drunk and a sociopath who never felt one bit of remorse. The cur responsible for our illegal alien invasion is lucky Pope Commie I declared an end to Hell so Ted can cool his heels somewhere else. At least he can´t kill any more women here on earth.

His was a large-life, tragic and multidimensional figure, and it could have made, and perhaps someday will make, for an expansive novel or film about sin and redemption. “Chappaquiddick” is not that movie. Instead of excavating Kennedy for larger artistic aims, it eviscerates him for narrow voyeuristic ones.

Yeah, that´s right. The movie "distorts" Fat Teddy´s story because it fails to recognize his contribution to the Progressive Movement that "redeemed" him. It´s not often you see it so expressly stated -- you can behave as badly as you want, so long as you vote and act Progressive.

Contrary to the writer´s claim, the story hasn´t been "told plenty." Most young people do not know the full story, rather think of Ted K. as "the Lion of the Senate."

But of course it runs in the family. One of the best looks at JFK´s sordid use of women is written by one of the young interns in his White House. Mimi Alford was only 19, and her book is "Once Upon a Secret."

A friend of mine was one of Joe Kennedy´s nurses after his stroke. Contrary to what Neil Gabler thinks, old Joe could do more than babble. Added to that, Neil skirts over a number of issues, such as the fact of how difficult it was to take the dirt road that led to the bridge instead of staying on the main road, and that on his way back to the party, Kennedy could have stopped at well lit houses to ask for help and/or report the "accident," but didn´t. Gabler could have mentioned that 10 hours lapsed before Kennedy called police and he could have mentioned Kennedy´s phony neck brace. So many details are distorted in this article it´s hardly worth reading.

If you are promoting a worthy cause, anything can be over looked, right?
Hitler was a "Germany first" proponent, and a few dead Jews was "for the cause". ISIS just wanted their religion to be upheld, and a few behead people was needful "for the cause". Ted needed to continue the democratic wave that was started by his brothers, and a dead woman should not hinder "that worthy cause".

Because you know how to leave out facts and distort the truth. old Joe may have had a stroke but he was very capable of controlling things. Other wise why would have little teddy gone to him for help.
old joe acquired his fortune by selling metal to the enemy, That metal was used to make munitions to kill our soldiers during the war. The whole Kennedy bunch, from old joe right on down the the brat that killed a 16 year old girl are nothing but trash. And you Neal, support them.

High in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Spain, an international team of researchers set out four buckets to gather a shower of viruses falling from the sky. Scientists have surmised there is a stream of viruses circling the planet, above the planet’s weather systems but below the level of airline travel. Very little is known about this realm, and that’s why the number of deposited viruses stunned the team in Spain. Each day, they calculated, some 800 million viruses cascade onto every square meter of the planet. Most of the globe-trotting viruses are swept into the air by sea spray, and lesser

A nationally known advocate for gay rights and the environment died Saturday in a fiery Prospect Park suicide, with his self-immolation meant as a wake-up call to save the planet. The charred remains of David Buckel, 60, were discovered shortly after sunrise when firefighters responded to a 6:40 a.m. blaze in the southwest corner of the sprawling Brooklyn park. “I am David Buckel and I just killed myself by fire as a protest suicide,” read a hand-written suicide note left near the blackened circle of burned grass. “I apologize to you for the mess.” A second, longer note — left with the first

Sunday on MSNBC, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said President Donald Trump was “most despicable, the most deplorable human being” that she had ever encountered in her life. Waters said, “The president calling Comey a liar is laughable. The president is the biggest liar in the universe. The president accusing Comey of having leaked classified information — well, look what the president has done. He gave classified information to the Russian ambassador and foreign minister right in the White House, and it certainly made our ally, Israel, very upset that he had done that. So the president trying to defend himself

Lost in the haze of the Syria bombing, the Establishment Media’s purposeful ignorance, and the ongoing ripples following the stunning FBI raid on the offices of President Trump’s longtime attorney, is the scathing outline by the Inspector General regarding how the Obama Department of Justice aggressively shut down what was to be a widespread investigation into the Clinton Foundation looking into allegations of widespread financial crimes. Talk about obstruction of justice!Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitten caught the Clinton Foundation information within the IG report and is doing his best to get the word out even as the Establishment Media covers the eyes

The body count is staggering. In my 43 years as a journalist, armies of trained bloodhounds have been run out of newsrooms where I´ve worked, victims of layoffs, and buyouts, and battle fatigue. I´ve lost so many hundreds of colleagues, I can´t keep track of where they ended up. These were smart, curious reporters, photographers and editors who told stories that defined place and time and made us all know each other a little better. They covered the arts and the local sports teams. They bird-dogged city councils, courts, law enforcement, school districts and other agencies that spend our tax dollars, bearing

When Dick’s Sporting Goods said it would no longer sell modern sporting rifles at its Field & Stream stores following the Valentine’s Day shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school, one question was what would happen to the unsold firearms in its inventory. Typically a retailer may return unsold merchandise to the manufacturer. But in this case, Dick’s Sporting Goods has decided to destroy them. “We are in the process of destroying all firearms and accessories that are no longer for sale as a result of our February 28th policy change,” a spokeswoman told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We are destroying the firearms

Asked whether Mr. Comey is a man of integrity, Mr. Ryan responded, “As far as I know.” “I’ve met him two or three times in two or three briefings,” the speaker said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I don’t really know the guy. I’m not trying to be evasive.” (Snip) Mr. Ryan said the last thing he wants to do is “join some food fight, some book-selling food fight. I don’t see any value in that.” The Wisconsin Republican announced last week
