Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer heaped praise on President Trump Thursday for proposing $60 billion in China-specific new tariffs. “I don’t agree with President Trump on a whole lot, but today I want to give him a big pat on the back,” Schumer said in a speech on the Senate floor. “He is doing the right thing when it comes to China.” WATCH: (Video) “Unfortunately, previous presidents, Democrat and Republican, just stood by as China did what it did to us. Perhaps it is too simplistic to say that if Schumer is happy about something, it´s wrong-headed. Perhaps not.

It is scary as hell to find myself on the same side of ANY issue as Schumer.

I am worried that I am on the wrong side somehow, since Schumer has, for as long as I have been aware of him, been a worthless, lying snake in the grass looking to ruin this country with leftist garbage.

The Washington Post called on Democrats to confirm Mike Pompeo, currently the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, as secretary of state."Democrats who pressed Mr. Pompeo on his record, including his questionable statements about Muslims, have legitimate concerns," the paper said in an editorial Thursday night, just hours after Pompeo´s confirmation hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. "But rejecting or delaying his nomination, as Mr. Trump juggles multiple crises without adequate counsel, probably would make an already parlous situation worse. Mr. Pompeo should be deployed to Foggy Bottom in the hope that he will fulfill his promise to revive

On Thursday, as excerpts from former FBI Director James Comey´s new book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” were released, the mainstream media exclaimed in paroxysms of exultation that the book was redolent with bombshells that could genuinely hurt President Trump. But every supposed bombshell was a nothingburger. Let’s take a look at the claims that were supposed to shake the world: 1. Comey writes that when he had dinner with Trump, Trump asked him to investigate the unfounded charge from the infamous dossier that he had watched Russian prostitutes peeing: He brought up what he called the “golden

Here’s an idea that wouldn’t survive the laughter in most U.S. communities. But this is California and more specifically, Los Angeles. So, local government is moving ahead with a plan to move some of the county’s exploding homeless populations off the streets and — wait for it — into your backyard. The idea is to build little homes or large huts, depending on your scale, in the backyard of willing homeowners. A kind of YIMBY — Yes In My Backyard. According to the county’s pilot program, rents to homeowners would be covered by government low-income housing vouchers with homeless tenants

Among its other consequences, Speaker Paul Ryan´s retirement from the House increases the chance that President Donald Trump will be impeached. Ryan´s decision accelerates the ongoing competition among his deputies to become the leader of the GOP in the House. But it will also dispirit fellow Republicans, diminish his ability to raise campaign funds and encourage more vulnerable incumbents to retire. All of that smooths the path for Democrats to recapture the House in November and hand Nancy Pelosi the speaker´s gavel once again. And there´s little doubt that a Democratic-controlled House would seek to impeach the president. That´s not
