Fully half of registered voters surveyed in a new poll say they´re ´embarrassed´ to have Donald Trump as president. Just three in 10 are ´proud.´ Fifty-five per cent believe the commander-in-chief does not have ´a sense of decency.´ Fifty-seven percent told pollsters the president is ´not honest.´ And a whopping 67 per cent – more than 2 out of every 3 voters – feel he´s a poor role model for children. The unmistakably dour results were released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. WHAT VOTERS SAY ABOUT TRUMP 64% – President Trump is not level headed 59% – He does not share their values 57% – He

This is Joe Biden´s campaign strategy starting up, btw. "Trump is too awful for the job, I´ll straighten things out."

They know they can´t win on issues, so they are just going to smear him.

And to those who still believe in polls: I have a tooth fairy for you.
It is very possible to skew poll results in any desired fashion. Whole books (and indeed professions) have been devoted to this subject. Opinions are malleable, and the order and fashion of the questions can be changed for any desired result to occur.
For this reason (that results can easily be skewed) our political polls fail quite regularly in their predictions.
Choosing a good sample and using a non-biased system of determining opinion is very difficult. Try it. You will be appalled at the results.

FTA: "The Quinnipiac pol ran from March 16 to March 20, and surveyed 1,291 voters nationwide via in-person calls to landline and cell phones. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percentage points."

So it was a poll of people who (1) answered the phone and (2) said they were "voters."

At this point in our country´s history, I don´t care what these ignorants say....Trump´s my Man and I support his agenda.

If this poll is true, then I guess Trump is toast. Even the people who voted for him have evidently turned against him and all of these anti-Trumpers and those ashamed of him in the poll want to go back to those good old days of Obama; repeal the new tax law, jobless claims to go back to their old highs, bring back ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, the old regs of Obama´s EPA, more people on the dole, old levels of law-breaking immigration, wide open borders--did I leave anything out? Things are so bad now under Trump, he has to be impeached and removed from office. The country was so much better off with the Deep State running things.

The voters who elected President Trump knew that they were not electing a Pope or a choirboy, bogus polls notwithstanding. Most Americans knew Trump from the years that he was involved in the entertainment industry.

For sure, Trump has kept his campaign promises as much as is politically possible. In addition he has turned out to be the best salesman for America of all the Presidents who have held office in the modern era.

She dresses like a 1950´s bag lady. (even Janet Reno dressed better.)
HRC condoned and protected her unfaithful husband.
HRC is not friendly or cordial.
HRC is not interested in the ´common good´ for this country, she´s interested in controlling people.
She called me a deplorable and I´m SO-O-O upset.

WE will vote in droves in 2018 to get MORE REPUBLICANS in Congress. Republicans, not RINOS! Then we will re-elect Trump in 2020 and go to town and get things done the next four years without being bogged down by RINOS.

I never answer my landline, 100% to message, which eliminates99%, trash calls. I can be almost certain that an unknown cell call from my area code, and now my first 3 digits is a sales call faking their caller ID. It would be nice if the phone companies would put in place a reliable caller ID. Now it is worthless.

Huge swaths of people, largely the busy, intelligent ones who don´t want to be bothered do the same and TRY to be unreachable by folks like this. Even if they were trying to get a fair sample, a highly questionable theory, phones will NOT get you a random sample these days.

Phone polls are largely BS. Even in person polls are questionable if more than two questions are asked, people don´t want to be bothered in general, won´t wait for much.

But it is also true that his bad behavior, impulsive tweets, taunts and insults cost him with members of his own party and so enrage the opposition party that it will ride through hell and back if necessary to get rid of him by any means, fair or foul.

Honestly, back at the general election, that came close to my opinion of Trump. He was still a far better choice than ANY Democrat, and especially the murderous lying, hypocritical Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Since then, I´ve realized that much of his bad press has been an image the left thrust on him.

Now, I would have to disagree with that poll. Trump is fine. Media, Academia and Hollywood I would gladly send to the gallows for what they´ve done to this country.

Republicans who ignore what Trump has done to the GOP are whistling past the graveyard if they believe it doesn´t matter.
The Democrats might wise up by the time the 2020 election rolls around and run a candidate who can smoothly pretend to be what he, she, or it is not. Trump is making their job easier.
He doesn´t really need to, but there is an infantile aspect to his personality that appears to "need" to fight like a kid on a schoolyard. He just doesn´t listen.

#26 is Right On. The DM needs to clean their own room, or house, before they report faux pols.

Did they report on the interrogation and banning of other young people who crossed their border to interview Tommy Robinson? Brittany Pettibone, an American and her Boyfirend, an Australian, were incarcerated in England for 3 days and questioned separately about their motivation and trip to the U.K.. At the same time, they expelled Lauren Southerland, a Canadian, a friend of the above young people, who is also banned on the charge that she is a racist.

What in the world is going on in England with the incarcerations, interrogations, banning, labeling, and threatening moves toward young people who thought that Free Speech was part of a Western Democracy?

As Jordan Peterson would say, they need to clean their room before they try to change a country that is becoming Great Again with a Super Swamp Cleaner.

JOHANNESBURG - Former U.S. President Barack Obama said on Tuesday the world should resist cynicism over the rise of strongmen in an apparent reference to populist leaders who hold power in several countries. “Just as people spoke about the triumph of democracy in the 90s, people now are talking about the triumph of tribalism and the strong man. WASHINGTON - Some prominent Republican and Democratic members of the U.S. Congress on Monday strongly criticized President Donald Trump for failing to deliver a strong warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin about meddling in American elections, saying Trump has sent a message of weakness to Moscow. Senator Lindsey Graham, a senior Republican and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, on Monday said of Trump’s performance at a press conference with Putin following their summit in Helsinki: “Missed opportunity by President Trump to firmly hold Russia accountable for 2016 meddling and deliver a strong warning regarding future elections. First lady Melania Trump was on the ball at her husband´s press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, receiving a soccer ball President Donald Trump tossed at her for their son, Barron. The first lady, in a bright yellow Gucci coat, sat in the front row as President Trump and Putin took questions from the press in Helsinki on Monday after their meeting. At one point in the proceedings, Putin gave Trump a red and white soccer ball that had been used in the World Cup final. The Russian president said it was in honor of the United States co-hosting

Judge Brett Kavanaugh is going into the Supreme Court confirmation process with a hail of rhetorical arrows zinging by him, including a phony letter-writing campaign aimed at unsuspecting American newspaper editors. At least 21 papers were duped last week, including big-market brands like the Dallas Morning News and The Washington Times. They ran identical letters over a four-day period, each signed by a different person. The effort is an example of public-relations ´astroturfing,´ a technique meant to simulate genuine grassroots support for an idea or cause. The form letter is one small piece of the message minefield erupting around Kavanaugh

Hillary Clinton loyalist Philippe Reines, who served as a senior State Department appointee under Clinton and later as campaign adviser for Clinton’s losing 2016 presidential bid, organized a protest at the White House Monday night timed for the return home around 9 p.m. EDT by President Donald Trump from his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland earlier Monday. Reines was joined at the protest by current Hillary political adviser Adam Parkhomenko, who said Trump-hating porn star attorney Michael Avenatti would be at the White House to protest Tuesday night. Democratic Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen on Monday called for the “military folks” to save America from President Donald Trump after Trump’s much-criticized press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!” Cohen wrote on Twitter, using language suggestive of a military coup. (Tweet) Cohen later said that he was in no way calling for a coup. “No coup called for,” he wrote, claiming it unlikely that someone would call for a coup on Twitter. Cohen’s bizarre tweet was similar to one from former Obama CIA Director

The man who co-wrote “The Art of the Deal” said Sunday he believes President Trump’s faculties are diminishing — and that he feels obligated to sound the alarm. “We are in a true emergency,” Tony Schwartz said on CNN Sunday. “And the accelerated rate at which his breakdown or decompensation is occurring is cause for us, and certainly for me, to come on to TV more often, to tweet more often.” Schwartz told CNN’s Brian Stelter that he felt comfortable making that assessment because he had “spent an enormous time with [Trump] over a period of 18 months.”(snip)Stelter pointed out that Schwartz

Chicago may soon become the largest municipality in the U.S. to test a universal basic income program. Chicago alderman Ameya Pawar recently proposed legislation that would provide 1,000 families with a $500 monthly stipend -- no questions asked. The bill already has the backing of the majority of city lawmakers, and Pawar hopes to soon work with Mayor Rahm Emanuel to implement the pilot program, The Intercept reported. “Nearly 70 percent of Americans don’t have $1,000 in the bank for an emergency,” Pawar told the outlet. “UBI could be an incredible benefit for people who are working and are having

San Francisco Mayor London Breed said the streets of her city are flooded with the excrement of the homeless in an interview Friday. Breed, a Democrat who was inaugurated as San Francisco’s mayor Wednesday, urged homeless advocacy groups that receive money from the city to teach homeless people to “clean up after themselves.” “There is more feces on the sidewalks than I’ve ever seen growing up here,” Breed told KNTV. “That is a huge problem and we are not just talking about from dogs — we’re talking about from humans.” The streets of San Francisco are littered with a “dangerous

When Presidents Trump and Vladimir Putin ended their joint press conference in Helsinki, the punditocracy predictably swarmed all over it like ants around a pile of crumbs. Was Trump winking at Putin? Did he really say he believes Putin more than he believes Robert Mueller about whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election? Former Gus Hall enthusiast John Brennan, off his meds again, tweeted that the presser was “treasonous.” Professional chatterer Anderson Cooper said it was “perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president at a summit.” Every phrase, every gesture of the event will be picked

Whether Democrats realize it or not, the names being tossed as potential 2020 challengers to President Trump are weak. It’s milquetoast. All far too left for the American voter, and all with rigid regional appeal. Who knows who Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is outside of New Jersey? The same could be said for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) doesn’t resonate outside of the Boston suburbs. And Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), well, she’s working hard to boost her profile, but she’s running aground with the Bernie crowd. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) could run again, but his age—and the

President Donald Trump’s comments during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday were “treasonous,” former CIA Director John Brennan asserted. “Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of ‘high crimes & misdemeanors,’” Brennan, a vocal Trump critic, wrote on Twitter. “It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???” Trump and Putin fielded questions from reporters at a joint summit in Helsinki following a one-on-one meeting earlier in the day. Trump praised Putin during

A 63-year-old father of 43 children was found beaten to death Sunday afternoon in his home on Chicago´s West Side. The body of John Hearring -- known as Nicholas -- was discovered with head trauma in his upstairs apartment in the 1000-block of North Leamington Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood. Multiple family members confirmed that he had 43 children. Hearring was a long-time resident there and well-known in the neighborhood. "He was the nicest man you´d ever want to meet. I don´t get it. All this killing is so senseless and now they are targeting the elderly," said Gwen Bridgeforth, his daughter-in-law.
