Republican Sen. Rand Paul used Twitter to hammer former CIA Director John Brennan’s characterization of President Trump as a “disgraced demagogue” on Sunday with a scathing criticism of the “disgraceful” way Brennan ran the agency when he was in charge. (Snip) “This man had the power to search every American’s records without a warrant,” Paul tweeted Sunday in response to Brennan’s Saturday morning tweet criticizing President Trump. “What’s disgraceful is attacking the Bill of Rights and the freedom of every American.” The morning after news broke of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s firing, Brennan tweeted that President Trump will

Comments:
Good for him! I would have liked him to be a little stronger in his comments, but I´ll take it. It´s sure better than the insufferable jerks like Rubio and Flake who attacked Trump. If either one of those two think they will ever be nominated for president they are delusional.

On Thursday it was revealed Inspector General Michael Horowitz sent a criminal referral for former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to the US Attorney’s office about the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation. Andrew McCabe responded to the criminal referral through a spokesman. McCabe’s spokesman said in response to the criminal referral from IG Horowitz: “We were advised of the referral within the past few weeks. Although we believe the referral is unjustified, the standard for an IG referral is very low. “We have already met with staff members from the US Attorney’s office. We are confident that, unless there is inappropriate pressure

The Justice Department on Thursday gave lawmakers redacted versions of memos kept by former FBI Director James Comey to document meetings with President Trump, a congressional source told Fox News. The source told Fox News the memos were turned over to the House Judiciary, Oversight and Intelligence Committees following threats from Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., to subpoena Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for failing to meet the deadline to submit the documents. In a statement to lawmakers, the Justice Department said it had redacted classified information in the memos, but would provide an unredacted version on Friday. Former President Barack Obama wrote an article TIME Magazine’s Most Influential People about the pro-gun control Parkland students. It will make gun owners’ shake their heads. Obama wrote that students like Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg, “have the power so often inherent in youth: to see the world anew; to reject the old constraints, outdated conventions and cowardice too often dressed up as wisdom.” The former president took aim at the NRA and its supporters in the piece as well. Two sheriff’s deputies have been killed in Florida Thursday— gunned down in broad daylight — during a suspected ambush, according to authorities. The cops were eating at a Chinese restaurant in the city of Trenton, about 35 miles west of Gainesville, when the shooter walked up and started blasting through a window, officials said in a statement. The gunman shot both deputies dead and then took his own life. Officials said no one else was injured. The incident happened around 3 p.m. The cops involved were deputies with the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office. “As fellow deputies responded to the scene, they found the shooter

Comey´s other target in

President Donald Trump is clearly James Comey’s No. 1 target in his new book, but the fired FBI director also paints a highly unflattering picture of another of his previous bosses, Rudy Giuliani. In “A Higher Loyalty,” Comey repeatedly invokes Giuliani’s craving for publicity during his tenure as New York’s most famous federal prosecutor in the 1980s, before he became mayor, and paints his flaws almost as a biblical allegory about the dangers of excessive pride and ego. “There was something of an unwritten code about working in the office of Rudy Giuliani,” Comey observed. “In his case, the message was that

Emails reviewed by Fox News from February 2016 suggest the FBI and DOJ worked together to craft a response to a key development in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, amid newly raised Republican concerns about a “concerning level of coordination” between the two agencies during the probe. The emails concern the period after 22 messages with "Top Secret" information were found on the former secretary of state´s personal email server. Republican Rep. Mark Meadows cited them in a letter earlier this week claiming former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony to Congress – in which he downplayed FBI-DOJ coordination on the Clinton

Former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, who joins a legal team that has struggled to recruit new members to its ranks, said he has been speaking with Trump for weeks

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told President Donald Trump last week that he isn’t a target of any part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, according to two people familiar with the matter. Rosenstein, who brought up the Mueller probe himself, offered the assurance during a meeting with Trump at the White House last Thursday, a development that helped tamp down the president’s desire to remove Rosenstein or Mueller, the people said. After the meeting, Trump told some of his closest advisers that it’s not the right time to remove either man since he’s not a target of the probe.

The Justice Department inspector general referred its finding that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe repeatedly misled investigators who were examining a media disclosure to the top federal prosecutor in D.C. to determine whether McCabe should be charged with a crime, according to people familiar with the matter. The referral to the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office occurred some time ago, after the inspector general concluded McCabe had lied to investigators or his own boss, then-FBI Director James B. Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, introduced legislation Wednesday aimed at dissuading President Trump from pardoning people involved in the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. The bill, called the Abuse of Pardon Prevention Act, comes on the heels of Trump’s pardon for Scooter Libby, the former chief of staff to former Vice President Dick Cheney who was convicted of lying to the FBI and obstruction of justice. Schiff’s legislation discourages the president from pardoning a person in connection to an investigation in which the president or a family member is a target,

Washington - Dozens of Democratic U.S. Senators on Wednesday introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt to resign on allegations of ethics lapses. Those relate to the agency’s purchase of a $43,000 sound booth for his office and spending on travel and security. The resolution was signed by 39 senators in the 100-member Senate, which is controlled by Pruitt’s fellow Republicans. Although Republicans can defeat it, the resolution is symbolically important because it represents the most senators ever to call for a Cabinet member’s ouster in resolution, its sponsors said.

Originally highlighted by the Twitter account New Real Peer Review, Ensor’s journal article explores the field of “ecosexuality,” a term which means the sexual relationship between humans and plants. Advocates in the field argue that the Earth needs to be treated with love. In addition to reducing harmful environmental practices, ecosexuals believe that humans should physically make love to the Earth. Ensor, an English professor at the University of Michigan, begins by citing the “Ecosex Manifesto,” which
