Prince Charles and Camilla shock
as pampered royal ‘demands

AN EXPLOSIVE new book has lifted the lid on the extraordinarily pampered life of luxury enjoyed by Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. The Prince is accustomed to travelling with his own very specific creature comforts, according to Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles by Tom Bower. The book describes how, before a visit to a friend in North-East England, he despatched his staff ahead a day early with a truck carrying Charles and Camilla’s complete bedrooms, including the Prince’s orthopaedic bed along with his own linen. His staff had also pack a small

Comments:
Lawks a mercey, y´all, if you´re prone to snort a fizzy drink down your nose and spattering everywhere, so not drink the La Croix until you´ve calmed down. I know many stories about Charles´s many, erm, quirks but these bear all of them.

We solved this problem some time ago. We told them we wouldn´t pay their taxes, they sent an army or two and we discussed it in detail for several years.

Eventually they quit trying to get us to pay taxes, so I don´t care a bit what these bozos do.

AFAIK the only one with a lick of sense is Elizabeth, and she is not going to last forever.

He´s the one always talking about the environment and global warming. He is one of the biggest hypocrites in the world. How much damage does he do to the environment when he flies his own bed and dressers on vacation with him? He´s a wimpy jerk and should never be King.

A friend working in the governor´s office many years ago related how on a visit to the states the Queen´s own loo was brought to the state house for her personal private use. The reason? So the toilet (seat?) wouldn´t become a souvenir... ´HRH s*at here´ etc. Meh.

Forgive me, but with her hairdresser, butler, dresser, two valets, press officers, a doctor and five police protection officers, the Duchess looks very much like any of the women of similar age in my California city. Except for the jewelry, Camilla´s of course is beyond the reach of almost all other women. In any event, this story makes the Prince and his Duchess appear ridiculous. Especially given Charles´ noisy support for so many socialist/globalist/environmentalist causes.

I suppose if I had the means I might do something similar.
For instance, after a career of bag drags, my wife and I travel by motorhome. I prefer it for a variety of reasons but not the least avoiding the potential bedbug infestation. Hers is to have a bathroom always nearby.
Back to if I had the means..how many of us have those nice add on bidets? With the warm seat? Yup. I think that would be on my rider if I was on the road.
And yes. I have such a seat in the RV. (enter satisfied smile here).

The Tragedy of Paul Ryan
Politico, by TIM ALBERTA    Original Article

Paul Ryan came to Congress as a Jack Kemp conservative and will depart as a Donald Trump Republican. It’s more complicated than that, certainly. History requires nuance and texture. But legacies are reductive by nature. The House speaker announced his resignation Wednesday, closing a messy and mesmerizing chapter in the history of the Republican Party. And for the affable Wisconsin kid who moved to Washington a quarter-century ago, eager to make his mark on fiscal policy, the harsh reality is that he might be remembered more for accommodating the impulses of the 45th president than for crafting a generational overhaul of

People in the South and Appalachian regions of the US are dying of heart disease at an alarming rate that far outpaces the disease impact in other parts of the US, a new report warns. Premature deaths have been reduced in the US overall since the end of the 20th century, but cardiovascular death rates have stopped improving. Medical advancements have driven reductions in deaths from feared diseases like cancer, but heart disease killed more people in states like Mississippi, Oklahoma and West Virginia in 2016 than it did in 2010. BRITISH submarines have moved within missile-range of Syria as Theresa May moves ever-closer to military intervention, following the sick chemical attack in Douma last week. Theresa May this evening ordered British submarines within range of Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian forces, it has been revealed. It comes after a day of rising tension in which US president Donald Trump promised “missiles are coming” and warned Syria’s Russian allies they would be powerless to shoot them down. And Mrs May is believed to have snubbed Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn by privately deciding to ignore his demand for parliamentary approval before any strike. However

Iran´s semi-official news agency has reported that an unknown number of ´British military men´ have been captured in Syria by government forces. They quoted the Lebanese news channel al-Mayadeen´s Moscow correspondent, who claimed British troops were being held after ´infiltrating´ the country. According to the report, they were taken after fighting in Eastern Ghouta, near the capital Damascus. Fars claimed it was part of a plot involving ´terrorists and NATO forces´ to attack Damascus. The US, Israel and Jordan were to launch attacks ´from several fronts´, the report claims, but ´rapid, major victories´ by the Syrian army destroyed the plan. Israel and the US

The Mark Zuckerberg who arrived at the Hart Senate Office Building on Tuesday afternoon very much resembled an adult. His hair was cut short. His dark-blue suit fit well. His presentation was polished, without glibness or arrogance. He said, “Yes, Senator” and “No, Senator,” with the slightly bemused deference of a curator giving a museum tour. The android-smooth forehead, now thirty-three years old, still appeared unmarked by age or adversity, but there were no flip-flops or pajamas this time; a small loosening of Zuckerberg’s Facebook-blue tie knot was his only variation from the Capitol’s accepted forms. Among its other consequences, Speaker Paul Ryan´s retirement from the House increases the chance that President Donald Trump will be impeached. Ryan´s decision accelerates the ongoing competition among his deputies to become the leader of the GOP in the House. But it will also dispirit fellow Republicans, diminish his ability to raise campaign funds and encourage more vulnerable incumbents to retire. All of that smooths the path for Democrats to recapture the House in November and hand Nancy Pelosi the speaker´s gavel once again. And there´s little doubt that a Democratic-controlled House would seek to impeach the president. That´s not
