Kudlowmentum: Trump Drops
Major Hint About Cohn Replacement

Daily Caller, by Saagar Enjeti

Original Article

President Donald Trump noted to reporters that TV economic analyst Larry Kudlow is a top contender to replace national economic council director Gary Cohn. “I’m looking at Larry Kudlow very strongly. I’ve known him a long time. We don’t agree on everything. In this case I think it’s good. I want a different opinion. He’s come around to believing in tariffs,” the president declared, adding, “He backed me very early in the campaign, I think the earliest. I think he was one of my original backers, he’s a very, very talented man. I’m also speaking to many others. But I

Comments:
Either Kudlow or Art Laffer would be fine with me. I was always concerned about Cohen from the beginning because he is a Democrat. I know Trump likes input from different sides, but they don´t have to be part of the cabinet in order to do so, IMHO.

Cohn apparently did a fine job on the task for which he was brought onboard. That task - the tax overhaul - completed, it was time for him to move on. Everyone knew he had a number of disagreements with PDJT on other issues.

Those of us who have backgrounds in large corporations know this is not unusual.

This morning Kudlow is being tossed out as a possible replacement. He is good. We’ll see.

Two unnamed sources told The Hill that Sadler took issue with McCain´s criticism of President Donald Trump´s CIA nominee, Gina Haspel, allegedly dismissing the ailing McCain, saying "he´s dying anyway." McCain on Wednesday said that Haspel is unfit to run the CIA because she would not say definitively that torture is immoral. That issue is one of several that have made Haspel´s journey toward Senate confirmation an uphill battle.
